Are gets the oldest meme that originated on 4chan?
I'm fairly certain it's either longcat or desu. Gets came quite a bit later.
>>412135
Gets didn't originate on 4chan
>>>/kym/
2 GET
Post the weirdest shit you can find on 4chan. I'll start: MLP pregnancy General.
>>>/mlp/26110090
>>414645
/d/ has those too, as fetishes go it's not that weird, it's just when you get into the hyper stuff
>>414692
That's the problem with this thread is that what is weird on one board wouldn't necessarily be weird on another.
OP didn't think these things through well enough before he posted.
>>414694
Okay, hypothetically speaking, let's say you found out your IRL friend jerks off to pregnant cartoon horses. How do you react? Obviously, it's a bit strange. That is how I separate normal from weird on 4chan.
Why isn't this thread on /vg/?
>>>/v/324344102
On top of that, there's clearly a lot of underage in this thread.
Already a new thread. Watch it hit the bump limit thanks to all the underage autists
>>>/v/324346654
Literally a game thread like they make in /sp/ redditor
is /qa/ supposed to be for siccing mods on threads you don't like?
>weebs and /pol/fags fighting
I had no idea /qa/ could be this entertaining.
>>414418
>>414435
You're both cancer.
>>414482
Hey, why'd the reddit poster get deleted? Are the mods finally cracking down on that shitposting?
There were six (6) theatre threads in /tv/ last night.
I think that's a good indication that we should have a /th/ board, am I right?
When do we get a Falconry board?
>>413998
Sure, whatever. I don't care. If we get a theater board I won't complain and I won't post in it.
>>413998
no
Hi /qa/. I hope you are having a nice day.
Should I advertise for >>>/news/ in the comment sections of a-list newspapers where serious news people lurk? Don't worry, I haven't, yet. I'm wondering what you think.
y/n ?
???
>>413412
Do you think /news/ would benefit from an increase in user traffic?
>>413708
Yes, as it is now people can only post 5 news stories at a time, and it takes 2 or 3 weeks for them to fall off page 10.
With increased traffic /news/ would be a little more current, and the back pages wouldn't be filled up with 2 week old news stories.
You know there are a lot of posts complaining about janitors/mods. Lets keep it simple. Post your unjust bans ITT.
The lack of transparency when it comes to bans is disgusting. 4chan does have a "ban page" that they make it seems like everything is by the books but we all know its just there to make it seem like the mods and jans are fair and doing their job.
>>413379
Every ban the mods give is completely justified.
>tfw I got banned for GR3 for a fucking /qa/ post
Rulefags are the worst.
>>413388
>getting banned on /qa/
That is one Hell of an achievement as perhaps even /trash/ has more things being deleted. Congratulations!
Why are all drawthreads utter shit? What one can expect in an average draw thread is the following:
>countless requests and not enough artists
>when a request is made the post is given like 10 replies choking up the bump limit just to felliate in hope that their request will be made
>mass disagreement on the purpose of a drawthread as some want nothing but requests being made and others just want to circlejerk
>too many people will enter into a petty argument...

You can't, aside from getting rid of them entirely. It's simply the nature of the world that there are more consumers of art than there are artists, and that making a non-shitty piece of art takes time. There will always be more requests than can ever be filled.
>>>/VIP/ when?
>>414058
What would /vip/ be? Would it be a board that you can only post on if you have a 4chan pass, similar to Reddit's /r/Lounge for people with Reddit Gold?
>>414071
No. I'm talking about something like 2ch's /vip/
>>414058
/vip/ is kill
Actually, I would consider /qa/ to be the new /vip/.
I think the solution for 4chan is to not add more boards, but to remove the useless ones.
For example, /news/ is barely used and everything that happens there can be done on /pol/. So keeping /news/ is pointless.
Any other boards that should be removed?
delete every board and then the entire website
>>413505
>Delete everything I don't like!
>Fuck the users who browse those boards!
>They are cancer!
You are the problem, not the solution.
>>413510
Who your quote?
give me one reason why /qa/ shouldn't be deleted
Because you want it to be deleted.
Done.
It gives newfags a place to vent their frustrations about 4chan and feel like their opinions actually matter.
There must be a board where you can discuss 4chan as a site.
I would like to report the person posting sexualized child models, but I am unable to. This captcha refuses even correct results. Switching to legacy captcha does not work.
Please fix this so that users have an easier time of reporting illegal content. tia
Google thinks you're a bot so it's giving you impossible captchas.
what are you typing for the captcha?
rest in peace opie
Why did Hiro actually buy 4chan? From what I know it's been for ages a financially sinking ship and I don't see an easy way to turn this place to profit and even if Hiro likes/enjoys the site/community/running it, I'd find it unrealistic for him to get aboard a project that's destined to doom/fail eventually, unless he has some kind of plan/agenda already.

Greetings, /qa/! As /qa/ has become the de facto "META" discussion board for 4chan, so let's have a meta discussion. In this thread I will outline some stereotypes and heuristics that I have acquired over my time spent on this website, listening, parsing, processing, and comparing the different ideas and thoughts on this website.
What this thread is: A discussion of how to discuss and think effectively on this website and other websites.
What this thread is not: A place to discuss any...

>What is my goal when arguing?
Understanding other people's opinions. I rarely change my opinion on most things (although there have been exceptions) but I like to at least understand where the opponent is coming from. My goal is also to make the opponent understand the same, although I sometimes try to convince him of my stance when I truly believe he's completely wrong.

How did /r9k/ become what it is today?
How did a merely technical gimmick spawn the culture that is associated with /r9k/ (i.e "misogynistic virgins blablabla...")
>>413930
Stay a while and listen as I share the tale of /r9k/'s demise with you.
Initially /r9k/ flourished in an era of fresh OC and greentext, which quickly became its primary use, that and tripfag circlejerks.
Then, one fateful day, some anon posted a "feel" thread. It was a very innocent little thread, about things that made you feel different ways. They were positive threads with positive feels, such as ">that feel when walking into a coffee shop and inhaling" or ">that feel...

A long time ago I made a set of gifs for /r9k/, just after the robot was removed.

The pacing's a little bad. I was literally drawing them as I was posting them, rather than spending a lot of time making them and then posting them all at once.
