Never going to happen. m00t was a failed normalfag/Goon and only really cared about getting attention, in which later turned into making enough money to remain a Goon without having to get a job. Even from the early days there was a push to expand the audience and get more people in.
Now that 4chan is legally owned by a normalfag with a criminal history based around exploiting as many users as possible, the chances of boards which should never have existed in the first place, being removed and losing posters, is almost a flat certain never going to happen.
That is why we have made various other English imageboards and use them primarily, because 4chan died a long time ago and is only good to visit infrequently at best these years.

So many people believe now this may be the best way to save 4chan: By allowing more self-moderation from users. But explain to everyone how this might work and what benefits we could get from it?
The users here are equally at fault for the way 4chan is declining, as are the mods. But if we can begin to self-moderate, things might get better

We already have self-moderation. It's called:

Anything beyond that should be the responsibility of the janitors and moderators, the former of which is made up of volunteers from the community.
Giving just anyone the ability to hand out bans or delete a post goes against what 4chan is about. As much as I hate to see nigger dick threads on /pol/, I don't believe that I personally should be given the power to delete them. That's the job of janitors or moderators, not anyone outside of those two groups. Because if we did have some sort of system where unpopular posts would be deleted if enough people clicked a button, we'd become reddit, and lose all the free speech rights we prize here.
A better idea is more janitors and holding those janitors accountable, not just for when they fuck up but when they're doing a good job. Good janitors should be treasured and use their skills to train new janitors in their ways. All boards need more good janitors.

So an anon from /qa/ earlier came up with a great idea on how to possibly get more feedback from users from the other boards. The idea is very simple: Create a sticky on maybe one or two boards a day on here as a sort of "feedback thread". Here anons can post their questions, concerns, and complaints about the board to help give Hiro better ideas on how to improve 4chan and their current board. Leave the feedback thread up on those boards for maybe a few days, 3-4 should be enough, and then move on to the next boards.
However this will require a strict, explicit, and intelligent set of guidelines to enforce upon the moderation team. Hiro must lay down the law and let the mods know your word is law now.
Now of course shitposting might be a major issue, specially for boards such as /v/ and /tv/. Hence why Hiro might want to team up with a mod and have him or a janitor watch the thread and clean up any shitposts they see, leaving only legitimate complaints behind. Make bans public on anyone shitposting the thread as well.
This could very well be the best possible way now for Hiro to get in contact with us easier, and let the voices of other boards be known and heard so Hiro knows what's going on.
