Don't even think about touching /pol/ Hiroshit
>>343874
Oh stop. I'm from /pol/ and I like what Hiro is doing. He never said anything about 'touching /pol/'.
>>343874
Why not?
/pol/ is completely impotent and couldn't do shit when moot decided to piss you tards off.
>>343881
>implying some of us didn't welcome the activistfags being driven off
Please don't neuter /pol/ even more, an hiro.
If you're going to add /news/, at the very least remove flags from /pol/ so that we can have actual political discussions without shit flinging over flags.
I've supported everything you've done so far, don't fuck up my homeboard please.
flags are great
It's important to know if you're talking to a Swekek, a Germankek, Canakek, Aussie shitposter, Indian poo poo or American retard
>>343599
>at the very least remove flags from /pol/ so that we can have actual political discussions without shit flinging over flags.
Your the same guy that keeps posting these threads.
Fuck off, pol wants flags and ID's, they make the board so much better than it was before.
>>343616
not to mention RARE FLAG
Looks like /pol/ has even less of a point at this point.
>>>/news/
I don't even
Just what
/new/ was /pol/ but more news oriented
>>343578
We really dont need this, there was a reason why /new was deleted before.
Pol serves the purpose fine, i mean, thats what new will become anyway, neo-nazis complaining 24/7 about refugees or how they are butthurt some leftist group got more seats in parliament, or complaining about african american rights protests or how china/india is fucked up with pollution ect.
The only thing that it would be good for is those Syria/Ukraine war update threads.
Mr new admin, a message from a very long time user, i know you are 'pro 4chan community' choosing to do whatever the community wants, but seriously, do you not know the reputation 4chan has a a fucked up place? Do you really think its a good idea letting the 'community' (which in most cases is just a loud minority part of the community) have a say in how the site is run, surely it should be left up to a bunch of smarter people that are that dont have a vested interest so they can give an unbiased review of if a new board is needed or not.
I'd say /his was needed, /aco to an extent (though it did fit fine into other boards), but /trash and /new will serve no real purpose as there are boards that already serve those functions and they will only become magnets for rule breakers/neo-nazis respectively.
And we really dont need/want another /pol.
wew lad
if moderated properly this could be good
if not it'll just be pol 2.0
>>343520
Oh great, /pol/3.0
Can we please not? We already have a news board, we don't need a new board just for the special snowflakes that refuse to leave their safe spaces.
does anyone have screens or a place where hiro posts are collected? i keep seeing random posts with a screenshot of something hiro said (relevant to whatever board/thread) but i've never seen all of his stuff collected
anyone?
>>343457
There's a bunch of the hiro-tan oc on /cm/. Don't know about anything else, though.
>>/cm/2986977
>>343493
well i meant posts he's made, not ...
that
Can we make a global rule that keeps /pol/ in /pol/?
Say "build the wall" if you agree.
build my balls
>>343357
No. Just delete /pol/.
Sooner or later 4chan is going to get major public pressure for all the shit /pol/ spews so might as well get rid of it now before having to look weak bowing to public pressure.
The new ad on the front page is ran through ecmprocks which is associated with malware according to http://easyviruskilling.com/how-to-remove-ecpmrocks-com-redirect-virus-guide/
Googling for "ecmprocks" gives you a list of similar results implying that ecmprocks is an advertising network used by malware authors to earn money and spread their malware.
>ecpmrocks.com is distinguished as a potentially unwanted advertising platform that came out recently for unknown purpose. It has been reported that ecpmrocks.com is a malicious one that may cause unauthorized redirections on browsers
http://fixwindowspconline.com/ecpmrocks-com-removal/
The ad on the front page appears to function by using Javascript to build a script tag that loads in Javascript from ecmprocks, which is a common tactic used by sketchy ad networks to allow them and their clients to run Javascript on the site displaying the ad. This allows for malware distributors to use Javascript within the ad to spread malware, and so using this type of ad network puts 4chan users at risk.
Non-invasive ads should never run Javascript from a third-party. Note that the existing advertising system 4chan has properly uses the 4chan owned "4chan-ads.org" to handle loading the ads and never loads Javascript from the ad clients.
Prior to this front page ad, ad networks were not used on 4chan. In fact, they were basically told to fuck off and not even contact 4chan.
>Note: We do not work with ad networks. If you represent a network, please do not e-mail us, as we will not respond to your inquiry.
https://www.4chan.org/advertise
Please severe connections with ecmprocks advertising and use the existing 4chan ad system to load ads on the front page for the security of the users.
4chan's JS that loads arbitrary JS and ads from ecmprocks.
But selling out user privacy was just a meme posted by /pol/ in a pastebin!
But, really, this shit is sketchy as fuck. What was wrong with using 4chan ads or an advertising venue that isn't invasive? When such options exist I don't think 4chan has to resort to porn site level advertising to get revenue. Use a normal system like everyone else instead of this sketchy shit.
>not using adblock
Miss me yet?
yee
Literally why?
>>343238
No
The cup is now kicking off into the knockout phase after the groups finished last weekend.
Come by and watch and meme around.
Who is your favourite team to win? Who is your favourite team to lose?

/k/ pls win
/cgl/ pls go
>>343211
/sp/ lost 3-4 to [s4s]
/sp/ is realyl tired of their manager but somehow never can shake him away.
Fuck, I was hoping /sp/ would've pulled through.
Great game against [s4s] regardless.
>Flags on /pol/
>>343153
I agree, we need to keep them
>>343153
नमस्ते वापस केंद्र फोन करने के लिए, faggot
>>343153
Put flags and IDs in the trash where they belong. /pol/ is not the trash.
>Implement post IDs and flags across /a/
>Autoban all mentions of tumblr and reddit
>Implement flash/ever cookies together with MAC bans and
>utilise browser fingerprinting (screen resolution, fonts used, browser used, operating system, addons, extensions used, user agent, encoding used, cookie prefs, timezone, colour depth, local and session storage, HTML canvas rendering, webGL, language header, accept header) - to ban frequent shitposting permanently. Ensure that to remain functional the site must use javascript
>If cookies/flash cookies/ever cookies have recently been wiped, increase the post timer and the difficulty of captchas
>If cookies/flash cookies/ever cookies are old and no bans have recently been made, decrease the post timer and the difficulty of captchas
>Do not 'warn', rather keep the warn count secret in the background and permanently ban when it hits more than 2
>>343117
>Implement post IDs and flags across /a/
Nice meme
Very thinly veiled anti id/flag thread
Tell me pa pajeet, where is it that you poo? Is it in the loo?
>>343117
>>Implement post IDs and flags across /a/
Fuck off
Is it worth buying advertising from here?
if your target audience is edgy teenagers and manchildren, sure.
>>343094
Depend. What are you going to advertise?
>>343118
An iphone application
I'm a Japanese(You may think is not good at English) HS student.
How should I learn English? I don't have much money so I don't wanna study abroad. School me plz.
>>342897
Ask Hiro or /int/.
>>342897
What would you like to know? I'm not sure it's a good idea to be honest with you.
Learning english from 4chan is only useful for text, not verbal communication. Also, we are not the best english speakers to start with, even on the smarter boards.
Add to that you will probably call people inappropriate names based on 4chan memes.
>>342926
Sorry.
I'm not used to 4chan and this is a first time to write.
/asp/ has been entirely ruined with the addition of pro wrestling. All of the threads for practitioners of alternative sports have washed away, and we are left with rampant shitposting and nonsense. Practitioners of alternative sports had a good system of discussion on the board, but it is gone. Wrestling needs to be confined to its own board for the sanctity of discussion on every board. Simply passing it back and forth between boards who wish to discuss entirely different topics unrelated to wrestling does nothing and further solidifies a lack of care for this issue.
The bronies tried this false flag thing, and it kinda worked so godspeed I guess
you could just be honest about your intentions though, Hiro seems like a pretty accommodating fellow
>>342867
what false flag shit are you talking about? /asp/ is fucking trashed now and it's because wrestling was added
I don't see how it doesn't fall under /asp/. It's a very specific form of stunt-acting. Those people actually do need to be pretty damn athletic and have some specific skills to convincingly pull off those choreographed slams and throws without actually killing each other.
