No matter what the purpose of this new board was, all containment boards do is let shitposters congregate and develop a culture that then leeches out onto other boards. All that will happen is that a new cancerous culture of the kind of people we don't want on this site will develop, they will make new, shitty memes, and then memers will spam them on other boards. All containment boards do is give undesirables a home where they can create a foothold on this site. The only way to get rid of types we don't want on this site is to ban them whenever they try to post their shit on a board and keep tough moderation againt them, creating a containment board just tells them they have a legitimate place on this site. So, delete /trash/, delete /mlp/, delete /soc/, delete /lgbt/, delete /s4s/, delete /cgl/, all of them were made as containment boards for types of posters other boards didn't want.

The vast majority of people who would stream anything for 4chan aren't looking to make a quick buck out of it, and are only doing so to have fun with fellow 4chan autismos.
Not only that but its one of the the rules with the most assed enforcement. Half the time they don't get deleted/banned, the other half it is. It all depends if the mods are having a bad day or not, and is more of an inconvenience then anything else. Not only that but exceptions to that rule are ALWAYS made when some big event is going on that's live streamed, like E3, or any kind of Conference.
Holy shit, please. I hate how when I'm on /tv/ and someone posts a stream for a movie for all of /tv/ to watch together, and then the streamer and his topic gets banned.
