Ban anzu from /int/

How do I get one of these
>>546221
who is anzu and does she have a penis? she/he sounds like and looks like the doll face girl
Why is there still general threads if the mods aren't going to force them to stay in those threads again?
Wasn't the whole point of the "eternal general" (threads which locals didn't want but got apes cried for) too keep themselves quarantined?
thanks
>>546182
Nothings more faggy then some dumb cuck pissing his pants about generals. If you are seriously such a thin skinned tumblr tier pussy, filter the threads. Youll be a faggot for doing so, but thatll will make all the threads that are just tearing you apart go away. Has any of your bitching ever gotten anything done? No? Well guess what, it never fucking will. You are totally and absolutely impotent to do anything about something that no body cares about in the first place. What a life you lead.
>>546216
thanks, but i was hoping for a local from /tv/ or a swaglorde post
>>546216
Fuck off cuck we can tell you're a janny. Enjoy working for free?

dont post unless you comtribute to the tjread you f ukin queer
>>546986
Then why'd you post?
See title ^
How come 4chan does not have the option to just enter an image URL & have that image fetched & uploaded?
why is the ONLY way to post an image having to manually save the file to your computer & then browse to it & select it?
Why can't we have the option to just enter a direct link to an image & 4chan will fetch it & upload it
This way even images as big as 3MB would be instantly uploaded rather than waiting a minute or more (for the people who have slow upload speeds)
Poll (although you can just post here instead of voting)
http://www.strawpoll.me/10348403
I've created an image of what this might look like & compared it to other image hosting sites like imgur.com
>>545710
But you can do that.
>>545710
Should've mentioned it a few years ago, because you're about to be shut down with about 20 posts all screaming "RRREEEEDDDIIIITTT" because you used an example from imgur.
Back then, they'd just call you a casual newfag for wanting a more convenient way to upload images.
>>545718
no you cant
what you're referring to is clicking browser, then pasting the url into the file box
what happens in this case is the file is downloaded to your computer, saved in a temp location, then the uploading process begins
this is very different from directly fetching an image from a given url
Directly entering a URL & having 4chan fetch the image & upload it means the file is never saved to your computer, it means your upload speed or internet connection never plays a role in the process
What you're describing is the exact opposite, it saves the file to your temp files, then uploads it, you might as well have just manually saved the image & selected it & uploaded it yourself
So yes, two VERY different things
>tfw your janitor/mod has been doing a shit job
>tfw new janitors are retarded
>tfw trash is all over your home board
>tfw
Who are you quoting?

I think all English Speaking generals (Besides /brit/) Should be disallowed on /int/.
Let's take a look at the board rules.
1. This board is for the discussion of foreign culture and language. Please be respectful.
2. Posting in languages other than English is allowed—and encouraged!
Generals like /balt+ausnz/, /cum/, /carib/, don't encourage you to learn any new languages or practice them with natives. they are just there as glorified chatrooms. Barely any culture is discussed on those threads as well.
People come on /int/ to learn new languages, and these threads contribute nothing.
/cum/, /balt+ausnz/, /carib/, and /balk/ were NEVER generals until around a year or so ago. And the way things are going more random ass generals will come out of nowhere connecting random countries just to chat. (balt+ausnz).
If anything at LEAST ban balt+ausnz as they only shitpost and bring nothing to the board.
oops wrong pic but whatever.
Why not just ban generals off /int/ entirely? Even in foreign language generals it's not like there's anything worth discussing.
>it's yet another assblasted canacuck episode
generals are literally the only good threads on that shite board
A simpler solution would be for you to make like a tree and just leaf
hey hiro can we have this as a banner on /tv/ please
>>>/tv/70186448
>>545487
fucking kek
>>545487
you need to put a 4chan thing somewhere
Banners are global
They are completely useless and obsolete relics of the past when booorus exist, they just take up server space for newer better boards.
>>545440
Who the fuck wants to slog through all the tags you need to find old pictures on the boorus?
>>545443
>quickly on the boorus.
>>545440
go away
Does anyone know any good traditional forums that are somewhat active? I love anonymous imageboards but sometimes i enjoy the universal tripfag experience.
All the half decent forums i used to visit got merged into an inactive piece of shit. The users seem high quality at least.
Please no le epic h4x0r or xD le leaked money making ebook forums.
Thanks.
>>545416
depends, the "good" ones are usually niche focused, like around a video game or something
forums that are just general topic usually aren't that great. At the very least it's hard to get to know others which is half the point of a forum like that.
>>545418
Eh, Not really into video games.
I enjoy anime, but finding an anime community other than MAL has been hard for me.
I do enjoy general topic forums. Getting to know each other has been easy for me on those kinds of forums, i don't know why.
>>545424
sometimes they can be extremely insular though. This is made worse if the webmaster doesn't keep his mods in line to keep them from powertripping. At least on 4chan they can't publicly identify themselves which helps a lot. And if you make some mistake in regards to the "culture" you don't gain some reputation as a newb or idiot as you're anonymous.
Can we get Overwatch off of /v/? /vg/ was specifically made because of Starcraft 2 and other games at the time that devoured the board and this game isn't any different. It's the same pictures and posts posted repeatedly and there are usually 4 or 5 threads like this at any time. Back then, mods deleted your threads and told you to go to /vg/ since you might as well have a general from posting about it so often.
I'd like for this to happen with this game on /v/.
No because mods like it.
It'll happen, eventually. It's inevitable.
>>545314
It will be kicked off /v/ eventually and we all know it, so sit back and enjoy the ride while it lasts.
Why does the new janitor of /tv/ like game of thrones and the JUST meme so much?
https://archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/70179004/
>deleted this thread first and then the spam
haha
looks like the meme is true
I think the theory of their attention being focused on general threads has a grain of truth to it.
I know what moot said about dividing the community even further, and while I agree that it can foster board rivalry, I think some boards should be divided until they become as slow as /m/ or /jp/. Before you grab the pitchforks, allow me to explain what I mean.
It's because when the posting pace is slower, you generally get better quality posts from the community, as well as better humor, better ideas and an overall more easygoing atmosphere.
Allow me to give you an example:
When /pol/ didn't exist, we had /new/ - a much slower board with much more in depth discussion, much more variety of opinion, less cancerous meming and most importantly, a sense of taking it easy. Contrast that with /pol/, where every troll is fed, everyone takes shit too seriously, every user has more or less the same alt-right worldview and let's not forget the overarching sense of entitlement to go preach their ideas as though they came from God Himself.
Another example:
/vr/ - Overall good quality of discussion, slow pace, easygoing attitude, etc.
/v/ - Cesspool of childish insults, cancerous meming, troll-feeding, negativity everywhere, etc.
Conclusion: The big boards should be split into smaller, more niche communities. Fast boards are not conducive to quality discussion.
>>545141
>lets try to splinter the community as much as possible and have tight-knit circlejerks instead of open discussion
Go back 2 Reddit.
You only need to look at /v/ as you said. Its fast pace is promoting a culture of low quality posts made for the sole purpose of somehow angering someone else. /v/ not being split long ago is actually very surprising considering the stark difference between /v/ to other hobby boards. There is an on-going discussion going on in another thread to split the board into two- west and Japan. And I am surprised it hasn't happened earlier since the two bases are different to begin with.
If a board becomes too fast, it is certain that post quality will drop as your post is of less meaning to the thread in question. /v/ culture as of now promotes easy shitposting.
>>545157
Quality argument
WebMs have become a staple of almost every active board on 4chan. Moot was a retard and there is no reason, especially today, to restrict audio and have a 3MB file size limit on WebMs outside of dedicated gif/webm boards.
Please allow audio and 4MB file size on all boards.
>4MB
absolutely
>audio
go fuck yourself
i don't want to have https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDy4sBkRTHE embedded in every other thread like back in 2011
>>545108
Who fucking cares?
Putting fear of trolls ahead of giving people who can do something nice the tools they need is probably why 4chan is such shit today to begin with.
>>545108
What, did you set webms to autoplay or something? Last I checked you have to actually click on them before they can rape your ears.
i fucking hate this bullshit
i literally cannot have any sort of argument anywhere on this site without some fucktard going
>REDDIT REDDIT REDDIT REDDIT GET OUT REEEEEEEEEEE
its fucking stupid, and it's a strawman and is irrelevent to literally 99% of conversations, even if i DID browse reddit (which i don't) and at no point ever is it actually an argument.
its actually at the point where its literally been added to the spam filter, because this retarded reddit boggeyman bullshit spam has gotten so fucking bad.
but even then, argumentless retards like pic related still spam this not an argument bullshit over and over, breaking global rule 10
>10 ... No intentionally evading spam or post filters.
why don't mods do anything about this. clearly they realize that its an issue, as the phrase was filtered in the first place, but i still see stupid anons posting this shit everywhere, and i never see their posts deleted, never see them on the banned page, and see it happen every fucking day.
>>544683
You can report it, the mods actually do delete it for rule...3 I think. It's just that nobody bothers reporting it most of the time.
In the meantime, try not to feed them long posts. Come up with a short post that will really piss them off and just keep repeating it. Taste of their own medicine.
>>544684
>Taste of their own medicine
For that to occur they'd need a sense of self awareness, which they clearly lack.
>>544683
Fuck off reddit.
Warning : this is about /po/ (papercraft and origami) not /pol/ (politically incorrect).
I brows /po/ on a regular basis for a few years now and it was pretty comfy untill recently. /po/ is a very slow board, it takes at least 30 days for a thread without new answers to get archived/ deleted (and no, it's not the slowest board). We had "joke" thread for a long time now : people semingly mistaking /po/ for /pol/ and posting threads like "gas the kikes race war now" or "hitler did nothing wrong, how can we kill the jews ?". But those threads were in relatively small proportions, deleted within a few days/hours and didn't hurted the board.
However over the past few weeks there has been an increasing number of those "/pol/" threads, and also a lots of "dub checking" and [s4s]-tier posts (a thing that almost never hapenned before). In absolute the number of shitposting posts is not very high but relatively to the board trafic this is huge. I wouldn't be surprised if more than a half of the posts over the past week were pure shitposting. This is shitting up the board activity pretty bad as far as i can see.
An example of what i'm talking about :
>>>/po/539790
>>>/po/539193
So could we have a little bit more moderation on that ? i guess some ban from /po/ for those posters should do the trick if they're not ban evading. should i report every single dubs posts i see ? but i don't really want to do that, i'm already reporting few "gas the kikes race war now" threads a day... What about other slow board ? i also browse /n/ (it takes about 1 week without activity for a thread to get archived) and i never see this kind of problems. Is there the same problem on /i/ or other really slow board ?
Why are so many threads on this board formatted in this way? And why is your English so bad?
I don't go to /po/ but I'm bumping this because it is the duty of the strong to protect the weak.
I don't know if he's done it very recently but it wasn't unusual to see a swaglord sticky on [s4s] telling anons to go to a specific board and spread shit around.
