How about adding a minimum character limit for OPs?

Something like 2 lines and 160 chars min. (not counting quotes or links) would do a lot to cut down on the low-content shitpost threads that popular boards like /a/ and /v/ are so plagued with.

Hell, just enable the r9k robot for all boards.

Mods, the level of shitty bait and spam threads on /pol/ is getting the fuck out of hand. Literally nobody obeys the board rules and everyone ignores the sticky. Retarded garbage is becoming the majority of this board. People are even posting totally unrelated "Post X or this will happen to you" /b/ chain letter macro filth in threads every day now. If you can't keep up with moderation, can you at least put up new spam filters for shit like "How can white boys even compete" or "Really makes you think" or "Is X White?" or "/pol/ BTFO". Jesus Christ, why are people even allowed to post this shit at all? How about you take the robot from /r9k/ and put it here? /pol/ could use it a lot more. Would get rid of shit like *tips fedora* too. Seriously, why DOESN'T /pol/ have /r9k/'s muting system? Give me one good reason why it shouldn't. It's honestly that easy. Spam filter all these fucking retarded phrases we see spammed every day and put the robot filter up. Done. 90% of moderation fixed.

Christ, if anything should be deleted it should be /b/. That board has had it's day. It's nothing but shitty porn and drug and animal abuse threads now. There is literally nothing random about /b/.

>>542489
>not a question
Correct

It absolutely is. Also, you're an idiot.

How does it make you feel that 80% of 4chan memes are created and pioneered by a single "community" of less than 50 anons?

How does it make you feel that this "community" literally RUNS 4chan?

/nrl/ representative here. I just heard someone's been spamming /qa/ with these dumb threads. Please keep in mind that he does not represent us and is in fact one of our thread's most notorious shitposters. He usually gets banned every time he posts but he likes to evade a lot. To be honest, we don't have very many memes. We just like talking about rugby.

It's that. One phoneposter can in fact easily bump that number by himself to a hundred and more by switching airplane mode on and off.

To find out the "Reddit" influence on 4chan, I spent an hour finding out which boards appear to have the biggest Reddit influence. To do this, I have calculated the percentages of posts on each board which mention Reddit, as gathered from numerous Foolfuuka archives. Only posts with "Reddit" were counted. "Leddit" and its other derivatives were not.

Only 44 boards were available for testing. RebeccaBlackTech uses Fuuka, so counting for /cgl/, /g/ and /mu/ was way too arduous for me. Same with Warosu, which made /3/, /biz/, /cgl/, /ck/, /diy/, /fa/, /jp/ and /lit/ too hard to analyze. /asp/, /b/, /gd/, /h/, /hc/, /hm/, /n/, /out/, /p/, /po/, /r/, /s/, /soc/, /toy/ and /vp/ were all on fgts.jp, which died without backups. Arch.b4k.co's search is currently disabled, to /g/ and /jp/ can't be done yet. B-stats also exists for /hm/ and /qst/, but no searching exists.

Ranked 11th to 44th in the Reddit influence:
11. /wsg/: 0.2153%
12. [s4s]: 0.2046%
13. /int/: 0.1909%
14. /f/: 0.1765%
15. /sp/: 0.1701%
16. /fit/: 0.1699%
17. /t/: 0.1600%
18. /x/: 0.1489%
19. /ic/: 0.1281%
20. /lgbt/: 0.1214%
21. /gif/: 0.1213%
22. /adv/: 0.1162%
23. /o/: 0.1040%
24. /hr/: 0.0916%
25. /trv/: 0.0881%
26. /an/: 0.0850%
27. /mlp/: 0.0841%
28. /k/: 0.0824%
29. /vr/: 0.0775%
30. /co/: 0.0752%
31. /a/: 0.0559%
32. /u/: 0.0556%
33. /wg/: 0.0539%
34. /w/: 0.0519%
35. /trash/: 0.0456%
36. /d/: 0.0432%
37. /aco/: 0.0393%
38. /tg/: 0.0348%
39. /i/: 0.0327%
40. /m/: 0.0170%
41. /e/: 0.0145%
42. /cm/: 0.0136%
43. /c/: 0.0120%
44. /y/: 0.0107% (congrats, the gayest weeb board on 4chan literally doesn't care about Reddit)

These rankings will obviously differ if sufficient archives for the other 26 boards pop up.

Now, onto the top ten...
31 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
Coming in at number ten is /sci/, with a Reddit influence of 0.2856%. With 1 in 350 posts on the board mentioning the fedoralord website, it makes sense. Redditors do tend to act like geniuses. Also, 4chan is "where smart people come to act retarded", so that's something to ponder.
>>
>>544986
I bet 3 bucks on /tv/ being number 1
>>
Sitting above the self-proclaimed intellects at number nine is /v/, with a Reddit influence of 0.3213%. Being a bigger board as well as a major part of the Gamergate scandal, which Reddit is way too invested in, it does explain the Reddit influence. Also, Redditors like vidya. Neckbeards like vidya. Redditors are neckbeards. See?

So when is moderation transparency and accountability going to be introduced so all the blatant power abuse we've had for years and years can finally come to an end?

I honestly don't think I've ever encountered another website where the administration has such aggressive and open distaste and antagonism towards its own userbase. And isn't the selection process supposed to weed out dumbasses who just want some kicks?

Since /pol/ is politically incorrect board, we need /poc/ - Politically Correct board. Anything [TRIGGER WARNING!] offensive slurs like cunt, bitch and fag will be filtered, if anyone using word like degeneracy will be instant banned, since /pol/ are filled with racist white cis males. 4chan needs a safe space for People of color, trans community, feminism, autistic people and many more oppresed people.

Why don't we remove the trip feature? 99.999% of the time, being identified is not relevant to their post, like it would be if they were doing an information/picture dump. There is no reason to have these special snowflakes derail threads with their stupid attention whoring and irrelevant posts. It may be useful on /his/ or /sci/ so that you can see that it's a credible person talking, but the benefits are small compared to the massive amount of faggotry caused by trips polluting our boards

anons who get rectally ravaged when they see something other than "Anonymous" in the namefield are the ones who derail threads. there is nothing wrong with identifying yourself on an imageboard.

What is the purpose of this "feature"? Are we really pandering to autists that can't even tell their own posts apart?

Not to mention it's brought in the worst type of attentionwhoring cancer that do nothing but derail the thread.

How is it that someone can get a three-day ban for making an allegedly off-topic /v/ thread about how the Angry Birds movie is the most successful video game film of all time, but a thread about some e-celeb's receding hairline is apparently A-Okay, and stays around for hours (over five now) on end?
