the reasons you listed seem like all you need to know to not get it

They're nice but why are literally all of them on CL so cheap?
Sketchy.
>>14131601
Well that's because it's Craigslist which means it's probably a scam.
Am I the only one who liked the XLR's styling?
Compared to the modern ATS/CTS, the XLR seems more refined and less tryhard
>>14131528
I always hated it. I love the new front-end of the ATS/CTS.
>>14131528
I like them. And I have seen a lot more of them since I moved to FL.
They came with a Northstar engine tho, right? Too bad it wasn't the LS with some supercharged V version.
The "new" Cadillac should make a car off the C7 platform.
I think the front end is/was refreshing, but the rear end feels out of place.
Hey /o/, I have a few quick questions:
I brought my vehicle to get an oil change a few months ago (it was cheaper than doing it myself and I am poor) and they noticed the two things in the photo. My questions are:
1)what leaks from the crankshaft seal?
2)what are wheel weights, and does not having the balancing done does it impact anything other than a negligible amount of mpgs lost?
3) I have a can of carb cleaner- it has been in the toolbox of the truck in temperatures of about 15-20 degrees Fahrenheit for a week or so. Is it still good?
Thanks dudes

>1)what leaks from the crankshaft seal?
Engine oil
>2)what are wheel weights?
Small weights that are attached to your wheel through clamping, glue or similar means. They make sure that your tire is rotating perfectly central on a certain axis. With missing weights on the front wheels you'll notice a vibration in the steering wheel at around 45mph to 50mph, depending on the speed, tires, road surface and whatnot. If they are missing on the rear...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
What's hanging off your rear view, /o/?
New car smell tree.
>tfw you want fuzzy dice and an 8-ball shift knob but it'd be tacky and cringe
>>14130854
I have two side mirrors but no windshield mirror.
Legal because truck.
Nothing... don't like having stuff hang infront of where I'll be looking. If I use a freshener I'll just leave it overnight or put it away when driving
When something IS hanging there; freedom all the way
Do they make any Group C prototype kit cars?
I know the technology is gonna be hard for me to get my hands on, but at least a car with this style.
Imagine driving down the interstate at 120mph with the downforce weight of 8 men.
Closest thing you'd find while being street legal is probably a 904 kit car or a factory 5 gtm.
Even if there is, its gonna cost more money than you have.
>>14130867
I don't care what it costs, I want to destroy the ring. Along with every toogay.
Hey /o/ I just bought this meme machine with a "Racing top" that basically has no gasket and leaks like a bitch. Where can I find a hard top that is actually reliable and more OEM styled that isnt going to destroy my wallet? Is it possible to order one from Mazda?
>>14130772
Either seal it up or drop a grand on an OEM top off Craigslist. Or, you know, put the ragtop up.
>>14130822
my ragtop is shreded and has a huge rip in it.
>>14130772
Sell racetop and use that money plus some of your own to buy on OEM top
Surprise surprise, the trucker that destroyed the bridge is a woman, and she didn't understand how many punds 6 tons was
Ms. Lambright was aware of the iron bridge stating she had driven on it several times in her personal vehicle and was also aware of the posted signage “no semis, weight limit of 6 tons”. When asked by Paoli Police why she continued through the bridge knowing the weight limit was only 6 tons she admitted to not knowing how many pounds that was. She was advised the weight of the vehicle at the time of the crash was close to 30 tons.
Lambright, who got her CDL earlier this year, said she wasn’t comfortable backing up her Volvo truck, so she just chanced it on the bridge.
Leave it to americucks to use an obsolete system of measurement.
>>14130763
>Leave it to americucks to give driving licenses to women that can't even back up the fucking truck
>>14130763
There's very little difference between an Imperial ton and a metric ton, retard.
Also, general manifold thread I guess
>>14130678
looks like a horse penis to me OP
Can someone explain to me the exact shift patterns, gear variations, etc? Which stick was reverse on?
That's for 4x4 you fucking dolt. One is a normal pattern the other for 4x4
>left stick is high and low range
>right stick is your gear selection
1st low
1st high
2nd low
2nd high
3rd low
3rd high
etc
>>14130658
If it's a real 5x3 set up, that's a five speed transmission mated to a three speed transmission, offering a total of 15 forward speeds. I'm unaware whd vehicle this would exist in. Like anon said, that does look a lot more like the shifter for a transfer case, but without a diagram for some reason.
Thinking about getting 4th gen Subaru Legacy as my next car, especially interested in the 3.0 six-banger.

Is there anything i should be aware of Common problems?
I know it is considered a grandpa car in US, but that doesnt bother me at all.
>>14130389
Pancake motor a shit
>>14130461
my friend has one with 2.5 fourbanger and it runs like a dream since he owns it, three years now and 150k miles on it
>>14130389
Those 4 speed autos are terribly unreliable. Get yourself a manual and you'll be good
if you are doing a build on a sports car, how do you know what power level is ideal? obviously having the right amount is better than something where if you floor it on a straightaway you cant keep on it more than 3-4 seconds. thats clearly not usable.
what is the idea power? something you can drive the piss out of without intimidation. might depend on the driver but not a lot.
honestly there is too much, and of course too little.
I feel pretty good with a 0.1 or 0.12 or so power/weight ratio.
I'm currently building a road course car and I'd be more than happy with a reliable 400whp weighing 3300lbs with me in it
>>14130363
power to weight. Do math.
Hey /o/, looks like I am gonna have to hang up my boy racer clothes earlier than I thought.
My 06 mustang keeps shitting out on me and I'm not gonna be taking this bullshit any longer. I've had it 2 years at only 110k and it has had way too many problems.
I'm not willing to go full base model civic yet, but I wanted some help on deciding what might be a good compromise between reliability and sportiness. Something I could get for 7-15k with relatively low miles. It needs to be offered in manual.
pic is similar to mine.
>he bought the secretary mustang
Kek
>>14130230
Yeah and now I want to get rid of it. So offer me suggestions while you wait for your stop off the bus, or fuck off.
>>14130222
Mustang a shit. Plus you should've kept good maintenance on it.
If you wanna stay American go for a camaro, they are pretty cheap.
If you really want to stress reliable, go for a bmw coupe, preferably an m3 from the late 90s through 2000s. Under 100k miles should be fine.
why is my engine bay wet if there is no stain on the floor/ visible drip drop leaking
>>14130169
Your Neighbor is pissing in your car at night.
>>14130175
if theres nothing on the floor is it benign though?
>>14130187
Just becuase its not on the floor doesn't mean its benign.
Cars can still leak quite a bit and it not leak it on the floor.
What does is smell like, oil or antifreeze? does it have a color, when do you typically notice it the most?
Why do normies like this tool?
>>14130067
Why is he a tool?
>like cars
>made good money
>enjoys racing
>creates crazy cars
>decent racer
>supports extreme sports
Do you not like him because his life is 1000x better than yours and you are so fucking awesome that your edge makes you hate people irrationally?
>>14130133
>decent racer
Hes good at staging
>>14130133
People think he's good, but he's really garbage.
I found a car for furries :-DDD
>>14130062
Is that a ford festiva?
If only
