Can someone explain to me the exact shift patterns, gear variations, etc? Which stick was reverse on?
That's for 4x4 you fucking dolt. One is a normal pattern the other for 4x4
>left stick is high and low range
>right stick is your gear selection
1st low
1st high
2nd low
2nd high
3rd low
3rd high
etc

If it's a real 5x3 set up, that's a five speed transmission mated to a three speed transmission, offering a total of 15 forward speeds. I'm unaware whd vehicle this would exist in. Like anon said, that does look a lot more like the shifter for a transfer case, but without a diagram for some reason.

Are you a fucking idiot. That's not even close to what's in OP's picture.

...you shift one stick into high or low...The second one shifts the gears....So it's exactly what was in OP pic......And I didn't even make the post.

its the exact same concept and works the same way.
having a 4L and 4H is the same as having a 5x2 trans.

Old ass heavy duty trucks have setups like this

The truck in pic was the surviving Peterbilt 281 used for Duel.

Axle is 3 speeds, not the transmission.

I've seen the second stick called an auxiliary transmission.
