Should I go into work today guys? My knee feels like its gonna fall out of it's socket and no amount of ice and medication is keeping the pain down every time I move. At the same time I feel really guilty because I have been reliable for every time they call me I come in and work the registers.
What should I do guys? How do I stop feeling guilty for some reason?
just buy more quality kneepads to keep your business intact.

I don't understand. I'm a cashier and my knee hurts really bad. How do kneepads help me?
If this isn't bait, go to a fucking doctor.
What are /biz/'s thoughts on T. Rowe Price mutual funds?
A year or two ago I put $5k in both the New Era (PRNEX) and Health Sciences (PRHSX) funds. Total returns so far are 4.58% but I'd like to be up by at least $1k by the time I cash out (an overall 20% increase, ignoring inflation). For these two funds, how realistic is that for a goal over the next two or three years?
And this may be a very basic question, but how do I know for sure when to sell? In particular I'm interested in PRHSX because apparently it's closed to new investors, so I...

I bet no one on this board knows shit about actively managed mutual funds
And they really don't need to
I personally wouldn't hire a fund manager even if he did beat the market, fuck him and his business

When I originally put money into these funds, it was on the recommendation of a financial advisor that my parents (recently retired) had been seeing. I was interested in putting my money into energy because of the (at the time) recent drop in the price of oil and health sciences because of the expanding biotech aspect.
Looking at alternatives, it appears that Vanguard has both energy (VGENX) and health (VGHCX) funds as well and they're generally...

I'm a 27 year old Austrian neet and have about 90.000€ saved up.
I don't plan any significant expenses in the near future so I figured I should finally look into how to invest a good portion of it.
Although I have a basic understanding of the matter, I still don't feel comfortable enough to just go ahead and do it on my own.
Maybe you could give me some tips or ideas or recommend/link me some unbiased sources on the matter?

Create wu coin
Pitch the idea to wu tang clan, get them to only accept wu coin for their albums, give all 8 of them 90% of the wu coins. People have to buy wu coins from wu tang clan in order to spend the wu coins on their music and merchandise.
Wu coin market cap reaches $100 million, you become a wu coin millionaire

How did you get your current job?
How much did you start making and how much are you making now?
Do you have any tips for people who are currently at the bottom of the ladder? Job hunting tips in particular. I am currently working a minimum wagecuck job, and in the process of finding a higher paying job. Any job hunting tips is appreciated.

Moved to a suburb of Detroit in 2012. Wifey hooked me up at that place to work in a tiny machine shop. I was a drop out international student because I had addiction issues. I was a button pusher there taking orders from people who didn't even graduate high-school. My wife got fired and decided to just receive her SS check and watch steve wilkos/ maury every morning so I busted my ass learning to use the machines better watching videos on...

Got my job because the first person they hired was a shit and got fired, so they hired me after I said I was still interested.
Started at 16.65 hourly, two years later now make about 17.00 hourly.
Best advice I can give is... don't work for the USPS. They are shifting to a temp workforce because full-timers are too expensive, and the unions are helping this process greatly by negotiating for the interests of full-timers and letting management do whatever the fuck they want to part-time workers (even...

ITT: We share financial secrets that we know off, that enables us to gain an advantage over that particular field.
I recently saw a couple of threads on /biz/ regarding gambling, and since I've been playing poker for quite a while, (but no longer do because I'm now back in Ethiopia after 4 years in the UK for educational purposes) I thought I'd share a few tips that I've gathered along the way.
You might ask why I'm being generous enough so as to share a "secret", (which surprisingly isn't common knowledge amongst gamblers)...

As you may or may not know, the primary form of income for internet poker sites, such as Donkeystars; FullFraud; etc... is RAKE. That is also the poker player's greatest ennemy since it has the ability to bankrupt anyone who doesn't properly engage it.
If, for argument sakes', I were to play NL Hold'em in ring games on any one of those sites, taking great precaution to minimize my risks and making use of any of the well known methods to gain an advantage, (bankroll management; utilizing poker softwares; tracking and keeping notes on other players; fish-baiting; scrupulously picking my tables; etc...) I would still end up loosing in the long run.
Why? Because as magic puts it, "once you're rigged to lose, you're rigged to fucking lose". Donkeystars or any other poker site is flawed despite what others' might think. But, if you choose not to delude yourself and decide to accept this fact and confront it, there is a way around it.
>>1386908
See, unlike ring games whose rake is taken every single pot, STGs or Sit N' Go games, (nb: STGs and tournaments are two different games which require different strategies) are raked only once at the beginning of the game. So if I were to play STGs and only STGs, I might end up winning in the long run. Like I said before, ring games are taxed accordingly every hand, so the greater the pot, the greater the rake, the greater the profit for poker sites. Do the math. Players often find themselves being set up by the...

Has anyone done an internship or grad program with an Investment bank?
What kind of an application did you have to get it? I feel like I have a pretty strong application for internships but sadly don't hear back anything
Pls halp me
They only recruit interns from 'target' Universities.
There are 5 in the UK, Ivy League in the USA and a bunch of European/East Asian ones - depends where you're from.
If you don't go to these, you will, with a very high probability, never have a successful application and must find an alternative route.
>>1386801
That's because they only recruit women and minorities now.

I didn't go to an ivy league, but, my brother did and he works at one of OP image. He said out of his batch of 20 interns there are 2 that went to a non ivy league, both of them are in markets (trading for you noobs). I suspect the reason is markets are purely perfomance based so they probably had some prior...

How much do you think you owe your parents?
I think my parents were fundamentally flawed human beings who tried their best to raise a good child, and they did okayish job.
I'm not sure that someone as dumb as me will ever be able to get a job that can pay my parents back for all the time and money they spent on me, but I won't let those dummies rot in a fucking retirement home. They might be idiots, but they're my idiots, to the end, and I'll let them hang in my house/apartment/whereever I end up living, unless I actually get wife, inwhich case,...

i dont owe someone for a contract i never signed. Thats called slavery.
now if i had DEMANDED for them to pay my way through university, which i didnt, then id owe them it back plus a little in interest
>>1386794
What do you think you owe your parents?
I don't owe them anything. I told them tonight by the time I'm 30 I will take every single penny they've earned from them for treating me how they did for 20 years.
I will not help them at all and the moment I'm finished college they are dead to me, I will never speak or have anything to do with my family the day I graduate, I'll never ever speak to them after that day.
They pretty much did nothing wrong or good. Most of the time i was on my own but somehow it worked out quite good.
Will pay for their mortage as well as any upcoming cost in the future.
Their fortune will be mine in the future so why dont be a nice kid?
Would it be a bad idea to invest 100% of my disposable income in stocks on robinhood?

How much are you making a month at your job? What are you doing for transportation?
You need to get that consumer debt taken out as soon as possible. You're just compounding the cucking of yourself every time you pay interest on it.

I know right I am very ashamed about it.
3000 a month is what I earn currently while at university.
The 700 can't be touched for a variety of reasons otherwise I definitely would put it straight on the loan, however it only costs 10 dollars a month interest.
