Where is accounting on the corporate ladder? I've heard that it's the most no-nonsense business field, but it's very lower-middle rung.

The work is too simple and there is too much competition, you need to go to a normal 4year college so that you can actually get your professional designation later.

In my city I don't competitionand prestige/having a proper degree isn't really an issue. It's very much polytechnic sort of city.
This 2 year program is pre-CPA certified and is very much geared towards people who want to get a diploma -> work 2 years -> upgrade to the CPA.
Once I have the CPA I just won't be restricted to this city.

I'm going to assume that you are based in the US, if not then the following is meaningless.
Is your college regionally accredited? If not then you are screwed. Nationally accredited and "tech" schools generally will not be able to transfer their coursework to 4-year universities (which is required for CPA). Also, the degrees mean less.

I was on here a few weeks ago saying how I was stuck in a shitty part time job and now ive landed my self an ok paying labouring job.Also keepin my part time job so now im working 7 days a week and taking in £410 a week.
Now Im happy im back in full time work but the next goal is to be earning around "400-450 in 5 days rather than 7.
and also do something other than working in construction,hate working on building sites they suck ass.
How do I get a better paying job without any real skills/qualificatins on paper ? (I dont want to go back to college then go onto uni)
Similar to you really I earn on average 390-500 depending on the hours I do ,usually 5 days a week but sometimes the odd nightshift or working away.
I'm a sort of labourer/general handyman going around pubs doing general maintenance,no qualifications but it's easy work and your usually left alone so no foreman or boss looking over your shoulder.
I'd never work on a proper building site it's pure hell,got nothing to suggest really other than looking at company's similar to mine who have contracts with a brewery or hospital,restaurant etc
