Let's have a resume rate & review thread.
Lost my job today, how does my resume look? Any advise/criticism is welcome.
>>1037949
>Don't put references on your resume. Keep them on another sheet
>JaveScript
>link to your public git repo
Aside from that looks good.

>ink to your public git repo
I only have an enterprise repo that's not public. I really should upload some of my projects.
Honest question, how did you turn your resume into a picture to post?
I posted the other day with my 3+ page resume, and the sites I found that turn txt/rtf into JPG only would convert the first page
hello biznez
I don't know much about selling in the internet
but I don't see many random people like me selling (I haven't yet sold anything) smart phones in amazon,
is there anything wrong in doing that?
I want to sell some Iphone 6s, note 4 and galaxy s6.
I'd like to know my chances of getting these sold at like 10% discount from actual samsung.
rooted ofcourse (they come fresh out this phone company and I root them, and sell them like new minutes after)
any downsides or flaws? (the only thing is that I don't...

>when I said rooted I actually meant "unlocked" (to be used with any other phone company, not just the one which it was bought from)
>>1037907
People will buy the phones, claim item not as described for something made up and return to you a phone that is broken and not the original.
You lose the phone, the money, credibility and ebay/amazon will say tough titties you can't prove that you didn't put the broken phone into the returned box yourself
>>1037907
exactly lol.
so then how does Samsung sells through amazon? couldn't they scam too? lol
I mean, how can I prove myself for being ethical, moral and legitimate?
couldn't amazon check if the phone is real and working and check the IMEI and all? so then it's solid proof from the "middleman"
who sends the seller's item to the buyer and the money from the buyer to the seller.
There must be one way to be a legitimate seller and not get scammed.
Otherwise I am...

>/biz/, if you could start your dream business, what would it be?
I think it would be really cool to somehow get a native Americans reservation near me to legalize marijuana, and use it to start up a "weed amusement park/casino" that anyone over 21 could get into.

I'd start my real estate business because I like money and houses

Depressions are the best time to buy desu.

As long as you don't starve. Also they're pretty shit if you already own a business.
Really depressions are good for people with lots of money but no established investments looking to enter the market.

Your mom probably has a lot of friends or is good with speaking with people. If you have either of those two, anything is easy.
Its not that easy.
With the crash a lot of agents went to other fields. Who stayed were the wage slaves and the successful. Her 100k in comision will be less than 60k after everything is said and done. By the time you figure it all out, she is making probably around 20-25 dollars an hour.
If she slips up, no profit this year... like literaly, she worked 300+ days for nothing. If she flies, she could make millions. Its all a gamble.
Funny story. I met an agent about 6 months ago to look at a building (decided the entire idea wasnt worth my time) He showed...

Hello /biz/
Some of you guys might remember me posting every now and then.
Simply, I have access to factory production prices of circular column form work and wood composite decking with the salesman $% also excluded.
So theoreticaly I have the absolute cheapest price possible without he company taking a profit or a loss. This is due to my girlfriends family owning 50% of the company. It's in China and turns over roughly 10-15million per month USD.
My question is does anyone have experience with importing and distribution small and large...

lol you're fucked
check their stock market, it's crashing at the moment
>>1037744
They have actually had an increase in sales throughout the whole crash since early last year.
They go to expo's all across Asia, South America and now America.
Most of their sales come from overseas rather then China.
>>1037744
Fortunately Australia is such a small market they have basically thrown my girlfriend and I a bone and told us if we can make sales we will become their distributor in Australia.
They are prepared to send any Australian clients to us and I am having someone create me an account on Alibaba as an Australian representative in Australia.
I just need to have my logistics sorted in order to effectively order, send and receive the products. As well as be able to send clients accurate quotes.
Trying to talk some sense into my fiance. I already own a home in the US, which was $150k (less than 3x my income). She is British and wants to buy a home in SE England for about $300k (about 7x her income). She has 150k in savings, which she would invest almost completely into the property, and wants to take out a $150k loan. She currently lives rent-free with her parents.
This seems like a particularly bad idea because:
A) In general, buying a home at 7x gross income (2.5 to 3x is the max recommended rate in the US) seems pretty damn high when looking at her...

rental is insane in london. it may not be a bad long term investment if you rent it out.
will probably generate upwards of $1500 a month.

Thats fucking consumption.
So you basically want to own two homes, betting on history of rising prices to continue??
Implying real estate will go up further, how could times possibly get better?

Oil is going to $20 then it's going up to 60.
If 20,000$ is a lot to you, then you shouldn't be investing with $200,000 in one position.
Hey guys, I won 20k this week trading oil futures.
Some sucker was just giving away money.
are there any aerospace engineers in here that want to give yours truly an internship for the upcoming summer? (or fall/spring?). I am a junior at a 4 year university with a terrible 2.5 gpa and I have just 1 research experience that isn't that big of a deal.

You're memeing me aren't you? Give me one solid reason why I shouldn't take on someone with a 3.7 gpa vs. you. Also where are you located?

Sorry you wasted your time and money on that degree path.

Even more lel. If literally who's, a website exclusively for business relations, and Google+ are passing you then you know you're screwed.
Internet stocks don't have bottoms until they hit $0. They are horrible investments. Might as well be one of the retards still holding shares in MySpace and AOL

Hey /biz/
How can I effectively market my small business with less than $200/mo?
Depends entirely on the business type and location.
Pay me $200 and I'll do the marketing for you.
>>1037326
Its for my lawn mowing company in a city of less than 100,000 people. I really need more work
I don't think I understand money the way other people do. I've been living a kind of ivory tower life.
$50 a day is all I need to live comfortably. Maybe $100 in London or Paris. But I have pretty modest tastes.
Then I hear people mention $5000 a month as a comfortable figure. (On the internet, of course. People don't talk about this kind of thing out loud.)
So, just a reality check here: how common is it for people to spend $1000 on purely discretionary things, without any real planning?
Is it more common for men or women to "splurge"?
What kind of people can spend $1000 without hesitation? It's not a rhetorical question: what's their usual job, their typical attitude? Are they "exclusive" or just ordinary middle class people?
By ivory tower, do you mean subsidized by your parents? If so, it makes sense.
Otherwise, I encourage you to live in Paris or London on a $3k/mo salary and see how comfortable you are.
>>1037276
I bought my wife a piece of jewelry yesterday that was around $1200, just because she liked it.
But I rarely do shit like that.
>>1037276
>All I need is $1500 to $3000 a month to live.
>thinks this is humble
Yeah britty ivory tower, brah. To answer your question, most people spend more by being highly leveraged lower-middle class people who have been trained to consume by the Upper class. (They gold toilets too, but IDK why.)
How to be rich if you born in a third world country with almost no connections but good skill.

Hey /biz/ I saved up 200.000 euro, what is the best way to use it to make more?

jew here, im worried that my country won't last another 20 or maybe 10 years at this rate, let me run some numbers so you understand
estate prices went up by almost 100% in the last 6 years in every major city
our food is 25% more expansive than europe (on average)
we pay 70% more on cars than the rest of the world and by 44% more if you only compare basic things like milk bread and eggs
we are currently on 5th place (OECD ranks) in in-equality,just behind mexico
if the numbers are right, in 10-20 years from now you wouldn't be able to live here...

Financializaiton of real estate, thats what you got. I don't think it'll ever get really bad in Israel, cause lets get real - the only people seriously considering living there are overseas jews from places where there is trouble (e.g. france currently).
You also got an amazing local tech innovation center so money will definitely cycle back into local economy (I invested in Mazor Robotics, an innovative startup for robotic surgery).
