Hey /biz/ i need some opinions and just a little bit of help if you're willing to give it.
Gonna give some context first
On the 11th of January i filed a claim for Youth Allowance, which is a sort of study allowance provided by the government. Ive been looking for work in the meantime but nobody seems to want me. I have work experience and a pretty sound resume but im still unemployed.
Centrelink (which is the office which deals with these matters) told me id have to wait a maximum of six weeks before id start seeing any money. And i was ok with that because...

Do what that homie in the paper did, and google the HR people at Centrelink. He found one of the top people's direct telephone numbers on a government directory and rang her. Once he spoke to her, got sorted with the quickness, although she was mad surprised that he managed to find her number.
Meanwhile, keep trying to find work homie. It's easy to sit back and collect, but better yourself by striving further. Keep your head up and keep grinding. Good luck.

Centerlink actually rang me yesterday and told me that my claim had been granted, so now im just waiting until it gets in my account

4chan, let's start a crow fundraising campaign and scrap together like 1'500 USD or so and hire a lucky bastard to work for us to do X for a month.
What should our employee do to earn his or her money?
I would work 20 hours for that money. I can offer database performance tuning. Oracle and mssql.

Do You know any good betting site that has a PayPal as a withdrawal method?
>>1115125
Almost all, as well as Neteller and Skrill
You have to deposit with the method before you withdraw to it, and some will require you to balance negative net deposits net deposits like Betfair
I know You can deposit on many bet sites using PayPal, but to withdraw money I only found paddy power. You know any other?
>>1115176
If you can deposit through PayPal, you can usually withdraw through it
I've only used PayPal on Betfair so it doesn't show up as a withdrawal option for me on most bookies, but if you've deposited with PayPal on a bookmaker then you should be able to withdraw to PayPal

Well a CNN analyst said it. It must be true!
They clearly have no bias in this whatsoever and are known to be factual and impartial.

DROPPED
Is he right or wrong?
No, just the right combination of stupid, resentful of the upper classes, and sour grapes.
>>1114238
How would you even reply to this?
>>1114244
I wouldn't. There is zero point in replying to someone like this. You essentially just have to let them be stupid.
is the 20% downpayment outdated?
>>1109992
20% plus closing costs now
>>1109992
depends on you.
Cash is the most viable option if you know your shit. Then refi out 80%.
>>1109992
Nope. Assuming you're buying for a home, 20% or more has a shitton of benefits. Most lenders will give you a preferred rate, you save on PMI, and the most obvious, you pay less per payment on interest.
For example, say you're buying a $150,000 home and have excellent credit. You've qualified for an FHA loan (minimum down, 3.5%,) at 4.25% fixed. If you do the 3.5% down, assuming your PMI is 0.5%, on a 20 year note your interest will be $66,873.93, with PMI of $3,498.13. Now, the same with a 20%...

How do grey imports work? How do you import shit (in bulk) without paying tax? And then resell it?
Any advice and stories is appereciated
You have to smuggle the stuff inside the country.
Aslong as that happens and you don't spend a huge amount of money then you're fine
>>1115099
But how?
>>1115101
How what?
Hey biz
Can you give a financial pleb some advice?
I got my first and only credit card last summer, and was doing okay with it. Then I had about 2 months of not having a job, and used said credit card for my food and stuff for that time. I had a $1,000 limit and maxed it out. Now I am making about $900 a month and the CC is 3 months unpaid, so the payments are like $217. My rent is $800 a month, and the bit of side money I make hustling (odd jobs and shit) basically goes into my transportation cost of getting to my normal job.
First of all, I cut up the...

Anyone?
>>1114856
OP is why credit card interest rates are 30%
>>1114938
You can blame me, but the banker at Chase who guided me into his office (after only asking to change my address for my debit card statements), and coerced me into getting a credit card even though I repeatedly told him I didnt think I was responsible enough stay out of trouble with it deserves a bit of blame as well
Im not going to argue what the legal definition of fiduciary responsibility is, but I have a feeling that pushing a CC on someone who *just told you* they were low income, fiscally irresponsible,...

What skills should I learn if I want to cash in on virtual reality?

And what about Augmented Reality?
why would you want to cash in on virtual reality or anything for that matter when you can become a millionaire through efficient cock sucking
3d animation. I can see pixar/dreamworks-esque movies being a big hit.
What kind of bank should I get a mortgage from?
I know that asking a bunch of line cooks and auto technicians is kind of a long shot. But it takes all kinds.
>>1114990
It's counter intuitive I know, but I think you can actually get a better deal from an independant mortgage broker then you can from a bank directly
>>1114997
You mean a local broker, or something like Lendingtree.com? Pardon my ignorance but I know absolutely nothing about home loans.
>>1114999
A local broker, you will probably have to meet them in person and everything
> Muh minimum wage
> Muh free trade
> Muh wall
> muh audit the feds
Are people this stupid? The real reason why we are so fucked up is because of the banks hoarding money. Feds printing more money than the last decades combine yet all going into their fucking vaults.
Pic related, any sane person can tell that our economy is fucked up real bad

Tell me /biz/, tell me that somebody will release us from this nightmare where our lives are dependent on the moods of few people.
Tell me that Andrew Jackson was a hero that we didn't deserve.
Tell me /biz/
This will happen when a man called Jesus returns to the earth. After that happens, it will take us 2000 years to fix everything that these assholes have done...
They're not hoarding anything. No one is borrowing.
Suppose you know with 100% probability what the direction a stock price is going to take but you don't know WHAT price its going to be at or by WHEN, how would you go about trading this to make max gains?
>>1113788
buying call or put options on margin?
>>1113788
If you know it's going to go up and keep on going up, just use a somewhat strict trailing stop.
It won't be the most optimal profit, but it will be within a couple of percent of it as long as the stock does not fluctuate too much going up.
>max gains
Write [call or put] options at the current price point and use the money to buy some [put or call] options on the stock. Make sure you don't accidentally write the one you should have bought or buy the one you should have written.
My sister just had a baby and I wanted to start some kind of college savings for the little guy as a gift. What's a good plan for college fund investing with 18 years and around 50-100$ a month to pump into it?
>>1113684
Smart 529 or Vanguard. Just buy ETFS like VOO and a few other market sectors, don't touch.
Buy ETH.
>>1113684
>Create a trust
>Throw $20,000 in it
>Buy oil companies, dripping dividends
>Have enough for any college by 18
