is Wolf on Wall Street a good choice?

I have a feeling everyone here hates it
>>

God no. The whole movie is complete shit and ripoff from Boiler room
>>
I think the Big Short should be played in every high school and college in the US. It portrayed so well what happened in the financial collapse.

This more or less for understanding sales and entrepeneurship, though you don't have to be as evil, just motivated.

Glengarry Glen Ross
Boiler room

Honestly though, the most /biz/ watching is Mad Men. Its kind of soap opera-y at times, but it really does an incredible job showing the structure of business relationships and how deals and decisions are often made, except switch alcohol with CAPM and NPV analysis. Then add 25% of the alcohol back in.

Billions. It is a show on Showtime. Absolutely required watching.

And I reach acrooooooooooooooooooooooooos.
I drink your milkshake, I drink it uuup!

It was not so much a biz movie, but more a determination one.
In that area of power of will/determination Whiplash is also very, very good.

Eh billions is pretty meh. Its less about actual business and more about finance superman/mary-sue. There's not a lot to learn and it doesn't reveal much about market structure. Its just like house of cards: the main character makes ratiinal decisions that are clever at best and the writers try to make him look brilliant by writing all the other characters as sniveling retards.

Fun to watch though I guess.

Margin call is really good. That speech about balancing scales, damn.
>>
Goodfellas and casino are kinda /biz/
>>
>>1115555

No they aren't. Those movies do not have autists wearing fedoras as the main characters.

It's probably his pathetic attempt to promote his website or facebook page or whatever.
He even changes the ID, so sad.

Can confirm Mad Men is the greatest television show of all time. It's so funny; I'd never heard anyone else use that term, but I always described it as "soap opera-y" as well. That wasn't even half the fun, though. Don killing SCDP's relationship with Jaguar was. Can't even rewatch the last 7 eps since they came to Netflix. Can't relive that, emotionally speaking. Damn good ride tho.
Nice taste anon. I get so autistic for that show. The nostalgic setting of Manhattan in the 1960's is what sold it for me, but I've had it confirmed by many that it does a very good job depicting the nature of many a client-business relationship, not just those in the advertisement industry (I wouldn't rly know I sell bongs and cigarettes for a living)

And people say nothing happens in this show. I'd trade that 55 seconds for all of Billions and Vinyl so far.
