Lets say I have a website/app idea, but no coding knowledge. How do people who own a website/app without knowing how to code? Do they hire coders and tell them what they want the site/app to look like? How do they prevent the coders from just stealing their idea? Do they just take a risk and pay them to work on something that may or may not generate profit?
>>1077995
forgot to add, I'm starting to learn Java so I could have the knowledge if I ever get a web/app idea. I'm starting to think it's too much work, especially since I'm probably not going to code the whole thing myself.
Sup /biz/, noob here.
Question: will paypal freeze my account for receiving money from pleb things like apps, ads, polls, etc?
Also, is it true they freeze the account for logging in with a different IP? What do I do if I have a dynamic one?
Thanks in advance

> logging in with a different IP
Shouldn't be an issue.
Biochem/Engineer major here. Is making bio-diesel using micro-organisms still worth cracking given the price of oil, or should I just focus on trying to invent and patent drugs?
>>1077901
Option 2 probably means less chance of Putin kicking in your door and murdering you in your sleep.
>>1077901
What does it matter to you? You're just a student. If you're interested in microbes and just want to make money down the road, look at the cosmetics industry. Otherwise, learn programming/design and get any job you want when whatever successful industry opens up. People don't care about what you know anymore because we have computers. Gain as many skills and friends as possible and do what you're good at. I just got a regular bio degree and worked in micro, immuno, and analytical chem. It doesn't matter.
>>1077901
It can be worthwhile as the government still has a biodiesel/ethanol mandate that requires people to buy it. If you say, make it possible to break down cellulose economically, you basically have cornered the market.
Still, that is a tougher nut to crack than say drugs so far.
Anyone /nootropics/ here? Pic related is my edc - multi vitamin, fish oil, caffeine, theanine, and nicotine
>>1077487
I did noopept and phenibut, until the harsh fucking anhedonia from phenibut kicked me in the balls
>>1077487
Nothing of that what you listed is classified as nootropics.
This board is becoming a joke
>>1077634
nicotine is the only proven nootropic
What are the pros and cons of creative accounting?
Pros: you can be creative
Cons: you have to work in accounting
Currently, Energy is the worst-performing sector and everything has pretty much lost its inflated value and contracted to their base one. If the deal for the oil production cuts is signed, the oil prices will obviously jump back to the $50-60 range (or even higher), which will bring back the sector's performance to green.
And, as everyone knows, the oil prices are highly unlikely to drop below $25, and almost impossible below $20, since that would mean bankruptcy for almost any company in that sector (without the sector having enough flexibility or time to move away...

Energy prices will continue to go lower. Look up certain Koch benchmark prices. Sour grades of oil are already trading at nearly $1.00 a barrel.
Also, to anyone on /biz/ who thinks that oil is fungible... Do some research because that model and example only made sense in a world of a few large oil fields.
So in conclusion I would go for short and medium positions in Government bonds and simply wait for the market to completely fall apart and then as my bonds mature I would start looking for potentially...

Killing yourself when you are old is financially a sound decision. Why don't old people commit mass suicide then? /biz/ BTFO.

Old people are known for making poor decisions. Checkmate.

How is this any sort of financial advice?
it's just
>Have a lot of money bro
Thanks for the amazing tip. I think we've all figured that out, now we just need to earn the money.
>>1076949
Like the other guy said, that advice is for when you already have money. Most people here don't have millions sitting in their account.
I could still see myself browsing 4chan every single day from the time I wake up till I go to sleep, laughing at coin memes etc.
Wouldn't even want stupid shit like supercars parties or that normalfag shit regardless if I had millions or not.
Does /biz/ want anything else apart from the necessities?
>>1076708
i want to eat good food, go on trips, meet people. i'm a pilot, so the only luxury thing i would want is a nice plane. otherwise i don't need fancy shit
>>1076708
Money is great, it gives freedom, options and can buy time. I'm past the age where I enjoy shitposting/gaming/chasing skirts (yes it doesn't cost as much money as youd think) as much as I did before and realize that the next level needs a lot of it. The next level is essentially total personal freedom - being able to go where you want, whenever you want and how you want be it a luxury resort or just visiting your grandmother, or a cabin in the woods - whatever. And we live in the age where passive income...

So...why don't we have a 1000 trillionaire in the world yet?
>>1076417
I don't know what exactly you linked but, if it's some kind of million dollar stock competition. What the guys have clearly done is gone after pennystock.
And because it's not 'real' money and 'real' orders and the thing will let you buy a billion dollars worth of a company that's only worth a million dollars.
>>1076426
The game is delayed so you can use a trading platform to trade risky assets knowing that they went up/down large percentages. Also these assets wouldnt have enough liquidity to hold up against the orders you put on the market.
Hey /biz/ I've been trying to start actively investing my money. I've finally worked the numbers on a couple investment strategies and I want to know what free software is there available to an average joe?
I have a BBA double major in accounting/finance from a pretty good school and have pretty good background knowledge of the markets, but all the software I was trained on is out of my price range.
just what i thought,

Why are housing starts a lot less volatile than they used to be before the 90s? Is this healthy?
My guess would be that more people are finally starting to understand the idea of a bubble.
What should companies do to recruit/retain talents in an economy with low unemployment rate?
>>1075814
Offer flexible working - working from home 2 days a week / shorter business hours (like 10 to 4), or working 4 days a week
Give people the tools and the environment to do their best work every day and hire team leaders who are competent and support that goal
Biz, what are my chances of landing a summer I-Banking internship and then a job?
I'm a math-Econ major with research experience in finance (functional stochastic DEQ). I'm also registered to take the CFA and will have my EA license soon. I'm graduating early and have a 3.99 GPA from a small, formerly renowned private school. Also, I'm familiar with Excel, VBA, and other languages and conversationally speak French/Chinese
