Are Boomers to blame for it all?
>>1043159
Yes
boomers suck cocks and dicks
>>1043159
Everything on that list is bad except for "military aggression. If anything the military budget should be bigger.
Are Bollinger bands legit or is it another TA woohoo nonsense?
>>1041375
They are legit if enough traders believe in them. Really it's all just alchemy.
>>1041375
do you know what you're looking for when using BBs? cause i find most people don't.
im looking at how on the bottom band near the minus sign and just before that, price visited this level later on. im also looking at the top bands touching 30. wouldn't be surprised to see 24 then 30.
though, i usually use a larger standard deviation
>>1041387
Are you referring to "breaking the bands"
I used to read up on Bollingers but can't remember too much.
Need your help.
I'm about to interview with an executive for my second interview. I fucked up and told HR that I would be okay with a given salary range. I really wanted more though.
How do I change my salary range for the position without sounding like a dick?
I would say being up front, honest and non-confrontational would be the best way to do it. But it's still gonna be awkward as fuck and might cost you the job on the spot. You could also wait until they bring it up and then ask for more. Similar risk. Sorry dude you kinda fucked up.
I want to add that the difference between my highest range and what I really want is only $7,000. I'm tempted to just say I want the highest part of my range so it can still be an upfront answer.
Is it worth losing the job over $7,000? Or will being upfront be worth it in the long run?
Tell them why they benefit from paying you more. You're worth it, right? Tell them why.
Hey /biz/ what do you guys think the better investment is, a house, or land?
And if you're buying land with the intent to sell it in the future, is it better to buy quality or quantity?
tl;dr
whats the best way to invest in land?
pic unrelated
>>1044474
Land is always where the actual value is on a property. If you dont intend to live there then yeah buy land. Then go to google earth and look through the satellite imagery history slider and find the development patterns for specific areas. then buy in front of where the development is heading.
>>1044501
yeah thats what i was thinking. find a good spot where development is likely to be, and then lease or sell the land to companies. ill certainly have to look the history slider though, i didnt think of that. is there an area you would recommend starting at? Ive heard riverside, CA is a decent spot.
>>1044474
land
there are always those few, who gain access to places they shouldn't.
>>1044298
exactly, it doesn't matter what virtual coin people invest in, those few will take everything before they even get the possibility of being fucked over.
gods work!
will there be a second set of QE measures?
Not from a Jedi.
>>1044093
huh?
>>1044089
the short answer is no
the banks are not short on money, which is the reason for QE measures. They are actually flush with cash for once.
IT'S JUST A DIP GUYS!!!!! DON'T PANIC!!! JUST BUY THE DIP!
>JUST A DIP REEEEEEEEEEEEE
>Buy stocks like /biz/ said
>Wake up next day
>Down 500 points
this board is full of scumbags.
>>1043687
Yeah it is.
Pic related, this has happened literally 3 months ago. This ALWAYS happens and it ALWAYS goes back up. Fuck you stupid /pol/ and /r9k/ retards with no money.
>>1043691
What part of LONGTERM INVESTING did you not understand?
Anything else besides that is a meme on this board. Either by legitimate retards or by delusional failures.
/Biz/ My friend and I have been working on a couple products that we have engineered and designed. We are thinking about starting an LLC, getting a Federal Tax ID and business certificate.
What are the advantages of a LLC vs an LLP. Any startup company advice would be greatly appreciated.
LLC all day.
Unless you have no choice, the company should be a hierarchy with one person in charge.
Partnerships are like marriages: prone to strife.
>>1043600
>Partnerships are like marriages: prone to strife *if one/both of you are emotionally unstable or immature
Most people are emotionally unstable or immature. A select few are not.
Just curious, OP, but what is a business certificate? How do I get one?
Why do you guys hate accountants, it seems to me once you hit industry it comfy as fuck.
>>1042970
It's "I always pick the safest option, I have no professional vision or personality": the job.
Well I hate accountants because in my industry we have huge problems with loud mouth accountants thinking they know more than they do, especially when they blab to clients who actually trust these bozos.

I just opened my first brokerage account and I'm looking to buy stocks.
I was thinking Netflix, hold for 4 years or so. But netflix doesn't pay any dividends, what do you guys recommend?
>>1041298
vanguard s&p 500 index. vfiax or vfinx.
If you're going to buy one thing right now, buy a VIX instrument.
TVIX or something. Hold it with a 2-3 month time horizon. Cash out in increments over the course of the next quarter as the markets drop.
You might as well have said Pandora while you are at it.
Netflix is having its worst quarter in history. Had you said this was in last year, I would have said jump. And I Would have been wrong
You would have lost about 15% of your money. Aske me today, and I will ask you... the fuck you smokin bro?
Is Chaturbate a good way to make money for me and my girlfriend if we get on as a couple?
I think you earn $1/20 tokens.
That's of course if you guys are attractive.
Look at what other couples do on there.
I think most popular camwhores have organized pages on there
>>1044290
Can you gape? Can your girlfriend help you gape wider?
The answer to those questions is the answer to your question.
>>1044331
No my asshole is very tight.
I need an online/home weekend job to get me through college /biz/, need help on finding one because the stuff I would do usually doesn't have online postings. My family does well, but I myself have no source of income and it's pretty fucking pathetic to ask for an allowance at my age.

If you email me @ randymarsh0001@gmail .com I'm looking for a cold caller.
And I need 2 websites built. Can you do this?
I just had a phone interview for a pretty big finance internship. Interviewer called me and asked me with a cold un,emotional voice to walk him through my resumé
>incredibly nervous
>resumé/past job experience not particularly relevant
>rest of the interview is purely technical
>get 4 questions
>shaky answer on 1
>completely miss 1 ("I have no idea.")

Lol
Don't even bother waiting for an email
Good luck with your next interview
>interviewer is so swamped and/or careless he asks interviewees to conduct their own interview because he doesn't give two shits
lol.
Yeah, he's already forgotten about you.
>>1043945
Hahaha okay.
I feel like it could have gone so much better but the person interviewing me just seemed so emotionless and heartless. This was also a freshman/sophomore position, and I was shocked by the difficulty of questions they were asking. Hardest question:
You're straddling a stock with an underlying value of $50. What is the ideal (∆ option price) / (∆ stock value).
I had no fucking idea.
How would a person start a crime scene cleaning company? I think it would be a great line of work and there would always be stories to tell.
Business gurus help me out
>>1043695
You'll need training from the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification).
This is also the same place that certifies you for water restoration, mold restoration, fire and flood damage restoration ... shit like that. I've got the WRT cert ... classes are interesting and you learn a lot. Quite a bit of math involved for the average tradesman.
Good luck.
1: gain experience in the business working for someone else
2: look for an area with high demand and develop a business plan
3: get a loan
4: try to fill the demand through self-employment or hiring 1 or 2 people
5: experiment and improve until you have a good business model that maximizes profit
6: expand
