I would say being up front, honest and non-confrontational would be the best way to do it. But it's still gonna be awkward as fuck and might cost you the job on the spot. You could also wait until they bring it up and then ask for more. Similar risk. Sorry dude you kinda fucked up.

I want to add that the difference between my highest range and what I really want is only $7,000. I'm tempted to just say I want the highest part of my range so it can still be an upfront answer.

There're too many factors for us to give you a good answer I think. What is the industry, how is the demand, the demeanor of the manager, etc.

You could go full bluff mode and ask for more stating you have another offer but you'd prefer to work at this place for blah blah reason. In any case you risk tanking the interview immediately due to either

what is perceived as disrespect, or
someone cheaper than you having been interviewed.
