Can someone explain to me how it is possible that such a shitty company has had such huge gains?

fuck my life up desu.

Have you reviewed their financial statements to see what their cash flow looks like?
Anyway, I'd say Dollar Stores are not quite counter-cyclical but are damn near recession proof and I'd assume the market is predicting a bit of a downturn which would be to Dollarama's benefit.
>>1066069
I have not.
I just remember someone mentioning it in a thread on /biz/ then I little later I looked it up for shits and giggles and it has grown that much...
I don't get it. It's a shithole, how can a dollarstore that barely has any customers and is making such little margins be SO successful?
>>1066073
I haven't been in a dollar store for like a decade. But the shit they sell is literally bottom of the barrel stuff yet there are plenty people that buy it. Plus I think they're mostly in low income areas with low rent expense and ample supply of cheap labor.

Where does your job rank?
>>1066031
>not on the list
Fuck, who /data analyst/ here?
>taking the list seriously.
What the fuck is a Mathematician or a Statistician?
>nurse
>assistant
>technician
All these words mean are:
>less educated
>make less money
>do all the grunt work
Optometry, Orthodontics, and Dentistry are all goods fields to go into though, if you don't mind working with mouths and eyes.
So I heard on the news today that some players are in trouble for fixing high-tier tennis matches, and I was wondering, has/is anyone on /biz/ made money from fixed sport betting? If so, can he/she shred some more light on it?
>>1066008
No fuck off find something else
>>1066008
Yeah but no. Fixed sports betting isn't you against the stock markets betting for your money. It's you against extremely violent Asian mafias betting for your life. Pic related is one thing you could get started on.
>>1066008
sports fixing also has to do with refs making certain calls to impact point spreads (see the nba and their ref scandal)
How lucrative would an organ selling business be, assuming it were legal, in the West?
To be honest I think the market is very saturated, alot of churches already have an organ, plus I'd imagine the cost of starting an organ selling business to be huge.. or are you just planning on reselling organs?
Apart from churches I really don't know who'd be interested in buying organs nowadays.
>>1065870
I'll take two
>>1065870
>Apart from churches I really don't know who'd be interested in buying organs nowadays.
Music schools. However, they usually have existing organs which are like 100 years old.
ITT weird things you do for self-improvement:
I open wikipedia in a foreign language with Roman characters that I can't read, and middle click the page to slowly autoscroll and "read" the words. This is good practice for speed reading because when you understand what you're reading, you slow down much more than you need to slow down, to grasp all the meaning. In a foreign language, you grasp all the meaning your gonna get, which is nothing, pretty quickly, and scan the page like a mother fucker, which makes you faster when you return to your native language.

I'm honestly surprised this kind of stuff isn't more on biz.
I've always been interested in what people do for their own self-improvement.
Cut out a small rectangle the size of a normal paragraph.
Go to a dark room with a light switch. Try to read a specific paragraph whilst flickering the light switch. Do this minutes each day and you will develop photographic memory.
Im a forex part time trader. currently averaging 5% roi on the few trades i place per month.
Has anyone had positive results using an autotrader ? and if so can you post account history .
>>1061781
I traded futures using TT's autotrader... now I roll my own with a developer. What use is some random stranger's account statements to you?
No but interested. Bump!
Technical or Fundamental mostly?
I've spent a total of $2000 CAD on US securities, and currently have a total P&L of -$35.90 USD, plus one $4.95 USD commission fee, a total net loss of $40.85 USD ($57.35 CAD).
$2000.00
- 57.35
= $1942.65
My trade was made when the CAD was stronger than it is now, so the total equity in my account should be $1942.65 or slightly higher, right?
Currently the total equity in my trading account is showing at $1909.17 CAD after conversions. Am I missing something?

You are most likely missing maintenance fees somewhere, or your broker is adjusting based on currency value.

Some charts are random as fuck because they rely on sentiment and investor confidence and other charts are just statistical data from known events.

No, not until shale dies. There is absolutely no point in kidnapping someone, driving them out to the desert, making them dig a grave and then leaving them alive.
Shale is gonna get cut up till its bankrupt. There will be no angel investors, just a bunch of scavengers buying the machinery of the dead corpses in liquidation.
the US should really invest in buying self sustaining energy already

I mean ok, there's demand for every kind of jobs for individual reasons.
But if audit is that boring, soul sucking, tiring, has reeealy shitty working hours and so not worth the money/shit pay etc. Why do people still want to work in this field?
Because the big 4 spreads propoganda by paying into school endowments to make the profession seem great, then they overwork and underpay you. Gg
>>1063014
It's typically seen as an entryway into other fields as you gain diverse experience. In some countries it's a requirement to gain professional membership.

What's with all the accountant and auditor hate on this board lately? They're both comfy livings if you know what you're doing.
