Long story short , I failed. I went from a ~730 credit score to 620 and falling. I have been ass blasted by an insane debt payment to income ratio for a few months of being unemployed, and the job I found is not even covering a third of what I owe in total each month. Do you educate yourself (Books, seminars, programs, researches) on finance? Do people with the goal of financial thrive educate themselves in general?
There are tons and tons of people claiming "its too hard" , "its impossible" or "you need money to make money" etc. Are those trolls who havent even read 10 books on finance - entrepreneurship - business - self-development or educated hard-working smart people?
when i was just starting out in my career, sure. i work with markets so there was a lot to learn. but the last years i havent really been educating myself that much at all. i know enough to get by and do well, and im not really interested in putting in the time / effort needed to do better.

I was recently involved in a motorcycle accident where the other party was at fault 100%, the insurance is trying to pay me out at $1000 plus no more than $3500 for medical expenses. I will be calling tomorrow to deal with the adjustor however I have no idea where to begin, I've done my research and have found that my bike is worth about triple the buy out. No offense but all the riders I know that ride an r6 are cargo shorts, mohawk helmet wearing, shit tier wheelie, weekend riders.
Unfortunate that you had an accident though. Had a similar situation a few years back and they offered me originally 1/4th the value of my bike. Ended up getting about 90% of the value of my bike. If you have any aftermarket parts make sure to include those with receipts because most insurance companies offer like $1-3k coverage on those alone.
Currently at a point in life where I realize I should do something more than just chug along at work and deposit into my 401k/savings.
I've been looking at getting into short term trading recently, as I'm young, but taking home a large salary from work, and can stand to lose some of my money to train a skill that makes significantly more money.
Futures looked like a good idea due to their volatility and leverage, mainly Oil futures is what I've dabbled in.
But I've also heard on many sites about the potential of options, but have never personally traded with those.
What is the best choice for someone who is young, financially stable, and wants to make money in risky markets due to said financial stability.

So you want to take the stability and sacrifice it? Is that what I'm reading here? I understand that you have the ability to withstand some losses, but in options (which work similarly to futures), the risk you are taking is total loss of your invested amount. Buy stable, dividend paying companies instead. Do that because the stability you have will give you time to compound those returns. There is a widespread belief that taking on more risk means greater reward opportunity, and that's simply not true.
