Why has does no company build rear engine sedans?
auto manufacturers employ accountants and engineers
Fwd is cheaper to make
Hey /o/, how do I get over my fear of seeing cops while driving? I got pulled over and arrested for faking the registration sticker for my car last year and got a one month jail sentence, $5000 fine and 3 years probation. Now I've done everything to make sure my registration, insurance and everything is up to date but I still feel so scared shitless driving and thinking I might get pulled over again and thrown to jail again for whatever reason.
It's really embittering me because I know I was guilty and did something wrong but at the same time it was a horrible...

Which country/state?
Been there done that when i wrote off my old car
Did you sharpie over your sticker?
>>14168326
Did you post about getting arrested here? Where you the one who they let go but we're going to arrest later?
So /o/, do you import proper JDM engine oil?
no im not a weeb
>>14168171
>torturing your JDM tight shitbox with filthy gaijin oil

>not knowing the difference between JDM tite and JDM tight
Dropping a down payment of 30,000 tomorrow for a 2016 Camaro 2SS with some customization's.
Am I making a mistake, /o/?
>>14167646
idk, whatever you like i guess.
Yes you should have bought a N/A miata
>>14167652
this
also
>buying new
>renting an apartment is ok but leasing a car isn't
Is /o/ retarded?
>>14164762
longterm buying a condo makes sense as you'll build equity. Renting is fine if you're just going to be in the one place for a few years.
>>14164762
renting an apartment isn't ok, its for retards
you're making payments on it anyway why not pay a little more and have ownership of the property
In every single case, you're better off buying the car and selling it; it'll cost you less per year if you calculate it out
renting and leasing are the ultimate cuck forms of payment
theres a sentence I didn't think I'd write this morning
People on /o/ like to act like they are all rich and loaded. However a majority of them drive around shit box meme miatas and live in their parents basement. Their bills consist of scratch off lotto tickets and their eBay/PayPal 6 month interest free financing bill because they couldn't afford the $140 chinese coilovers they bought for their miata.
Don't listen to them, go and get some finance knowledge from reputable sources.
What car do I buy for 8k usd?
>fast
>wont get stolen
>awd (this doesnt matter so much)
I thought the obvious wrx choice but the insurance is expensive and its a cop magnet
i want a legacy gt but they're so expensive

Miata
LS1 4th gen
>faster than WRX
>never getting stolen
you couldn't even hot-wire this car in a garage with the owner's manual and a toolkit. the ignition system has a resistance value in the key that is unique to the vehicle
E46 330i or E36 M3.
Do it faggot.
What went wrong?

The aircraft carriers weren't there. Should have been a land invasion.
Why is there so much hate for BMW here? Every time I see one posted all I see is
>BMW
with no actual explanation of what the issue is.
>easy to find in manual
>powerful engines
>RWD
>good suspensions
>comfy interiors
>conservative appearance
>easy to work on
>cheap to buy used

BMWs are notorious for things breaking in them.
One anon, for example, said the key lock on his door broke. Apparently, you need to clean that out once per year so you can actually lock your door with a key.
I was wondering the same thing, it's probably because /o/ is full of ricers and faggots. Currently looking at e46 330i's myself.
lots of benchracers and people who don't know how to maintain their own cars or are really bad at gauging badly maintained cars before buying them

What style of bike is that? I know piss all about bikes, but I always liked that style of bike
>cops setting roadblocks and requiring you to submit to blood tests
What the fuck do I do if I come across one of these? How can I legally refuse the blood test?
why would you want to refuse for any reason other than the fact that you're probably doing something wrong

>this is the kind of person that is cucked by the govt

Fuck this, I'm not letting some pigger draw my blood to put it into a database. I've seen plenty of checkpoints before but this is some overboard shit
Why do so many people on /o/ complain about Toyota's boring lineup? You do realize that they created Scion specially to cater to millennials?
The FR-S is their only good car
>>14167484
And millennials don't want to be seen in a fucking scion, so the only people that buy them are old farts trying to be "hip".

what do I do /o/? I want to drive ten cylinders of snek, and I have the money. Will I wrap myself around a tree because of the shit handling and too much power or will it only run for 10 miles before the engine catches fire?
Ive got about 30k disposable income a year, and ive got enough in checking to buy this outright. Im thinking that this could make a good toy for weekends and might be fun to take to a track.
>dodge V10
>unreliable

what the fuck.

If you have to ask this the answer is yes.
>>14163175
>>14163181
Its a meme guys, people say that vipers can't turn when in reality I am well aware that they are street-legal racecars with little maintenance costs compared to other exotics. Im seriously considering getting this one and probably going to buy it if it looks good when I go test drive it.
What are the best and worst cunts to be an auto enthusiast?
Pic related is the latter
Best: USA
Worst: Everywhere else.
Canadian chiming in.
What's so bad about Canada?
Worst: Singapore.
The taxes are so retarded that you have to either be rich or drive a company vehicle.
Otherwise, your ass takes the bus
How come so few teams compete in the LMP1 class of Le Mans?
Just look at the entry list from the 2011 race, there were even different teams competing amongst them self even though they have the same car, but there were still variety between the make of cars. And in the lower class there were a great variety of cars.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_24_Hours_of_Le_Mans#Entry_list
Now a days we see the same cars everywhere. LMP1: Audi, Toyota (Porsche is a welcome addition)
LMP2: Different variety of basically the same car.
GT AM/GT Pro: Ferrari...

Budget. To compete, now, it takes insane amounts of money.
>>14158073
That's because they keep tightening the regulations and keep pushing all the Hybrid shit
It all lead to this monstrosity (pic related)
>>14158066
That was the best carnation of the R18. No electric bullshit drive, and a whole body because turbulence holes over the wheels weren't a regulation thing yet
