Now I appreciate that they're completely different cars, but I want you to work with me here.
I've got a £15k budget and I'm looking at two completely opposite cars.
The Jaguar XK/R and the Lotus Elise S2
I already have a day to day runner but I'm likely to try to daily drive whichever I get.
I'm already aware of the headgasket issue on the Lotus (Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious)
I'm also aware of Jaguar's track record with reliability.
I'm not interested in other cars. I'm just comparing...

Talk me out of leasing a brand new 2016 Corvette with the Z51 Performance Package...
...but wait there's more: I'm in sales and my company is paying all but $150 of the payment.
Will I look like a douchebag?
Will bitches like this car?
Will my customers (WHITE MALES from ages 35-70) want to ride with me in this car?
I want to get a black one, with black interior, black wheels, and yellow brake calipers.
Pic sort of related: closest I could find. Mine wouldn't have the yellow trim around the wheels.
PS Alfa 4c...

Does your territory have snow / ice part of the year? Will it bother you to put 30K miles per year on the thing?

Why do you say this? Is it the color scheme?
Let's dispel once and for all with this fiction that FWD doesn't know what it's doing. It knows exactly what it's doing.
Nurburgring -
7:50 Honda Civic Type R
7:51 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
7:52 BMW M4
/o/ in fucking rooins.
For the record, I feel like RWD > AWD > FWD but that doesn't mean that FWD is shit or can't hang on the track. It can definitely hang with the big boys on the track. RWD is fun to for the occasional drift or donut but it won't necessary beat FWD until a point where that power is...

its a racecar basically
>>14811366
Could you go further though? Could you have a FWD super car?
>>14811427
It actually didn't do that bad.
>Front suspension wasn't finished
>KERS wasn't working
>No regen braking
>Only 20 seconds off pace car
But like I already said, after a certain point, a lot of that power doesn't get properly utilized. This is 1000+ hp we are talking about. No shit it lost.
Meanwhile a fucking Civic still humiliated 2 very powerful cars.

It's like you enjoy owning a car that's going to be a obsolete hunk of shit in 10 years
Why do 4-cyl engines max out around 600cc per cylinder, while V8's are often above 800cc per cylinder?

It's called efficiency, something people making V8 engines don't understand
Because why the fuck would you build a 1 liter per pot i4 if you could just stretch it into a i6 with smaller pots, using the same volume of space and reaping all the balance benefits?
Tesla Model 3 preorders exceed 325,000 within the first week. In the week since it was announced, more than 325,000 people have pre-ordered the electric sedan, amounting to more than US$14 billion in projected sales for a car that Tesla won't even start making until late next year.

Chevy Bolt BTFO
That is a lot of cars for a vehicle that has not been made yet. I hope they are able to make that many and more in the future. The Chevrolet Bolt has the same range but costs a little more. The Bolt has - IIRC - an advantage since there are way more Chevy dealers / repair places than what Tesla has.

Want one of these so bad.
Which buy, /o/rangutans?
I live in a place where there's snow 5 months of the year, and I play in a band so I need the cargo space, so the choice seems obvious, except for
>muh rwd.
FiST is more fun
if you need cargo space the fist isn't gonna be fun. Might like the focus st more, although the fiesta is more fun to drive. Either way, get snow tires.

Get some kind of wagon if you play in a hatchbacks don't cut the space requirement of amps and drum kits
>$6800 so poorfags can afford
>5 speed manual standard
>0-60 under 10 seconds
>84 mpg highway for those long commutes
>AC, power windows, and aux Jack standard
Seems like a daily beater to drive in traffic. Reviewers have called the handling "responsive and lively". Why would you not buy this as your non weekend boringcar?
