Tesla Model 3 preorders exceed 325,000 within the first week. In the week since it was announced, more than 325,000 people have pre-ordered the electric sedan, amounting to more than US$14 billion in projected sales for a car that Tesla won't even start making until late next year.

That is a lot of cars for a vehicle that has not been made yet. I hope they are able to make that many and more in the future. The Chevrolet Bolt has the same range but costs a little more. The Bolt has - IIRC - an advantage since there are way more Chevy dealers / repair places than what Tesla has.

what blows my mind is how big those windows are compared to the usual trend.

is this intentional?
do they want it to look lighter?

there's something fishy.

probably just a gimmick
vertical visibility doesn't help much on the road
also if one breaks have fun replacing that shit

>they have to rush the construction and spout tons of poorly put together shits that keep having mecanical and software issues

if you weren't retarded you'd have realized that I wasn't bitching about it at all.
I'm surprised that they go this way.

FIX THE FRONT END. MODEL 3 DESIGN TEAM, IT'S SO EASY TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD

>>14810793
since there's no engine you can use big chunks of the front frame as major bracing for the roof frame, meaning they don't need to be as thick, shrinking your A and C pillars, it's pretty cool

This fucker has a new type of battery, one that the Gigafactory does'nt make???

Sony plans to boost battery performance 40 percent by 2020

How much money do you have to put down to get on that preorder list? I mean is it for sure that 300k people are going to buy one of these?
>>
>>14810935
Only $1,000, and you can get a refund at any time.
>>
>>14810898
possibly, depends on how small batteries can get
honestly, if charge times can get down to 5 minutes and charging stations can be even half as ubiquitous as gas stations, you really don't need more than 200 miles of range, maybe not even more than 100, considering you can "fill up" at time each night.

such low requirements on battery sizes means cars can keep getting lighter and lighter without sacrificing power
>>
>>14810944
what's funny is i don't see people backing out any time soon, considering if you're preorder number 200k or less you at least have a chance of getting your car before like 2020

then again, that massive preorder list looks really fucking delicious to investors, so tesla might get the cash infusion they need to ramp up production really quickly

Arnold shawzenegr say not long ago what you rather do? Spend a hour in a room with running car or car with electric engine.

Guess what people say. They don't want I be poisoned!!

So I don't care if global warming is real or not. I just want to do what feels right and getting away from the poison gas is what we need to do. Time to stop burning everything. Gas is do uneconomical. Not. It wastes all it energy into heat.

Electric needs to happen it needs to happen. I will yet one.

Would you rather put both hands across the battery leads from a Tesla or a gas tank? Proof that internal combustion is safer and better.

Completely discharging a Li-ion battery is bad for it. Try to never let your battery go below 20% except in rare circumstances.

SO P85 will only ever use 68kw of it's battery?
I read that Tesla allows their batteries to discharge lower than industry standards?
>>
How long until you have to have the front end repainted due to the retarded grill (lack there of) on the model 3?
>>
>>14815510
Dude, Apple as a maker of essentially a single model is pretty damn ubiquitous as a standard in and of itself. Tesla would probably be the same. Stations would have the equivalent of micro usb as well as a tesla specific plug.

As for fickle Apple has some of the best customer satisfaction ratings, longest model cycles, and longest support for legacy models. If anything the electric car industry should follow Apples model.

no electric car lets you use the entire battery.

LEAF has a 26 kw/h battery but you only get about 20kw/h of use from it.
