What does /o/ think of Mk VII Celica?
That silence actually says a lot, thanks
Nobody here would go out of his way to own one when there are so many better options.
It was what I wanted in HS, I love the lines on it. Now, I'm thinking of a BRZ, largely because I perceive it as the next iteration. I wish they had more aggressive lines like the Celica though, everything these days is so egg-shaped.
I drove two welded differential cars yesterday.
My friend swears by welded differentials.
He's got an 88 prelude with its diff welded and a 2004 cobra with its diff welded.
I really. Really liked how both cars handled.
The 88 prelude is a track car and I was using the handbrake a lot just to get it to turn. But it felt extremely predictable.
The mustang was just the same, just no handbrake.
Neither of them could really turn for shit with normal steering but powering through the turns or just taking them slower felt great.
What does /o/ think about diff welds?
>>13839213
Didn't know you can weld a front diff.
Also, welded diff is for faggets. Buy a spool you cheap shit.
Drove a 240 with a spool. Mad fucking fun in the snow. Mad. Fucking. Fun
>>13839219
I didn't know you could either, but both wheels were spinning and he told me how he did it. The only other reason why I believe it was welded or locked was because that thing turned like ass normally.
I was wondering if there was a welded diff you could buy. Just looked up spools, and I figure that was obvious enough.
I'll look into this.

Just bought Saturn Ion 2004 for my first car
Bought it for 5.8k with 120,000 miles
I felt like I got ripped off.
What are your thoughts?

Alright so my son is away at college, and the insurance I have him on right now is the 'student away discount' for AMICA, and it's a really good rate for full insurance at $52 a month.
It basically states that he is at college, and his car is garaged, here at home, but it's here for him to use.
Now he wants to keep his car over with him at college.
Should I bother changing his insurance? The rate would probably go up to $175 a month.
Or should I just keep the student away insurance? Will the insurance company even know? Would I...

I had the student away insurance thing when I was in college and I was okay. If he gets in an accident, he can just say that he borrowed the car that week because he had to do X. It's insurance fraud, but I doubt they'll find out.
I work for GEICO, and we deny claims if the away student was using the vehicle. Unless the accident occurred close to home or during a school break.

+1.
Just hope he doesn't wreck the car too many times. That's a big jump in price. If I were you, I would probably keep the "away at school" insurance.
Plus if he is at school, hopefully he isn't using the car a ton anyway because busses and stuff within walking distance.
Hello /o/
/g/ here. I just had my tires replaced and wheels aligned. However, I'm struggling to properly interpret these alignment results (pic related).
If someone could shed some light on this, that would be appreciated. Car is a 2005 Ford Focus, if it matters.
I paid €45 for this, and the end result is only 0.03° better than it was before? Is this normal? Did I get ripped off?

I never financed a car before - have you ever done so? What all do I need?
I have zero credit history, but this place takes bad credit and yadda yadda.
Anyway, do I need bank statements or what all do I need?
>>13838584
Pay stubs for the past month or so.
>>13838584
>Takes bad credit
Please do not go there. Seriously. Go to a proper dealership.
If you want to do things properly, then I would buy a cheap car cash and get a credit card from whatever bank you choose. Pay for your gas and never let the amount owed hit 50% or more than the total limit. Do this for 1 year.
You'll have an amazing credit score at the end or it and you won't get buttraped by some crazy 23% APR.
If you would get a Japanese car from the mid 80's to the mid 90's what would it be?

Suzuki Swift or its derivatives(Geo Metro, Pontiac Firefly,..) with the 1.3 liter or 1.5 liter engine

I've always wanted an LS 400. They just seem to be pretty rare here in Yurop at least in good condition and at a right price.

89 Toyota Camry it was my first car had close to 300,000 miles on it when I sold it Bitch was indestructible
Engine was still strong when I sold it
I miss that car

Find a flaw.
Well, for a start a track driven vehicle needs at least 2 sets of tracks to turn.
A tracked motorcycle that's impossible to turn with kind of defeats the purpose.
Can't turn.
Might be OK for american standards though.

Why does it have handlebars that attach to nothing?
Nissan thread? Where my Nissans at .
Dirty ghetto kars
Is Renault-Nissan stuff shit? I am very averse to French cars overall.
How is it people hate Nissan when altima, maxima, and 350z come stock with 250-300 hp and an extremely durable engine at an affordable price all available In a manual transmission?

a stop sign is more worth than a yield sign
you only have to yield to moving vehicles, while stop sings mean your car has to be completely stopped, so the van was aut fault
>>13838070
but the van had also already stopped and began moving again before the bike had reached the yield sign, putting the right of way to the van

Why don't more adventure bikes have V4s?
Hey /o/ I wanted to try practicing the picture style of the 90s so if you'd like to have a picture of your car with a touch of nostalgia then drop a pic.
Any criticisms, comments, suggestions welcomed; I'm just a guy with gimp and I'm looking to get better at this.
