Friendly reminder that you should lube your shaft linkage and ball every 6 months for smoother shifting.
Lithium grease works well and can be applied liberally to the entire surface of the ball and shaft.
So youre telling me I lube the shaft AND the balls?
How do I this on my automatic?
>>13952038
There should only be one ball.
But yes, both the shaft and ball should be well lubricated.

Is anyone else kinda upset the States aren't getting the Type R? I've been following this car since it was announced because it simply looks great, and performs marginally better than the STI
I think it would have been great here, but apparently our new Civic, the 10th gen, is simply not the same
>>13951762
I thought the States were getting the Type R, just not the 3-door.
>>13951806
There is a 3 door ?

What do you guys think about the Charger SRT Hellcat?
>>13951719
I've never driven one but it's probably shit anyway
>>13951719
yes
This is my next car and I feel good about it.
Cool.

It's on my shortlist too anon.

This is my current car and I feel even better about it
How are you enjoying all this cheap gas?
>>13951651
thank god for Getgo giftcards
>i got 30 gallons of diesel for free yesterday
>>13951651
>>13951672
What gas station is that?
I have something with Winn Dixie and Shell. For every time I spend $50 at Winn Dixie, I get 10ยข off a gallon. I don't go to Shell much tho. I need to rack up those Fuel Perks and see if I can get a ridiculous deal.
>ride motorcycle
>filling up my tank costs less than $10 even with $3/gallon gas
To be honest, I don't really care about gas prices very much.
It's time to share your unpopular opinions /o/!

What's the most illegal picture you've taken of your car?
I was most DEFINITELY trespassing to do this. It likely didn't matter.
Change that to a Donked Impala SS and it could be a 90s rap album cover.
wow op what a rebel
One time I took a picture of my wrx parked across the commander and first sergeants parking spaces
/o/, I'm looking for a second car. My main car is a boring camry but its comfortable and gets me from point a to b. I want this second car to be something fun to drive, something I can maybe throw in the twisties a bit and get the back end squirrelly. I've looked at the usual cars out there and on the sticky, however as time goes on alot of the 90's cars are drying up, have been modified by people who dont know what the fuck they're doing, or want to charge a "rice tax" to whatever shitbox their selling. TL; DR here are my parameters:
-Manual
-Easy to find parts for
-reliable
-something you dont see everyday (example being nothing with a rice tax like hatchback hondas, old gen supras, ect.)
-decent aftermarket support
-3 to 4k in price
Pic somewhat related

Pic related with a few performance mods
>>13951226
you can't find something that's
-Easy to find parts for
-decent aftermarket support
-3 to 4k in price
that's also
-something you don't see everyday
In all honesty, I am going to go full /o/ and scream MIATA IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER at you
By very definition, unique cars are going to suffer from price inflation the worst because most owners know it's hard to find them.
At the cost of being something you don't see everyday.
New edge mustang.
I'm personally getting one and websites like American Muscle have parts for them.
You can also get an earlier SN-95.
Also, Miata. Barring what /o/ says, I don't see a lot of miatas. In fact, maybe 1 or 2 a week. There is a large aftermarket too.
These replies are simple but they agree with what you say. for the most part.
Why is the Hood to Trunk ratio evaporating like the X to Y chromosome ratio?
Why aren't sharp edge coups cool anymore?
What happened to lift backs?
What happened to cars with personality?
Why has the car tuning scene not changed at all since Initial D? What the fuck happened to cars from the 2000s onwards that they're all still insanely expensive and dont bring a whole lot of performance?
On top of previous stated styles, why are wheels just getting bigger and bigger?
Hey guys not sure if this is allowed here but I'm in need of some help. The other day i was going about 120km on a highway in my 2001 honda civic when i lost all power, engine light came on, a nice puff of black smoke grew behind me and i coasted to a stop. I could hear some thumping coming from within the car and it left a trail of oil. Upon closer inspection, it looks like there are two holes in what I believe to be my oil pan. The holes were created from the inside out. What could have caused this? Did i throw a few pistons? Is this repairable? Thanks a lot.
>>13950742
If it threw anything, you need a new engine.
And it definitely threw something.
>Hondur reliability
>>13950742
You're boned. That engine is trash.
Definitely threw something. Didn't destroy the whole block though so could have been worse.
Probably need a new engine. It COULD be fixed, but it's probably cheaper to just get a remanufactured or junkyard motor to replace it.
This means no "I wouldn't buy a Mk.2 Focus RS cause I'd rather spend $45K on a Camaro SS" shitposts.
Japanese and Australian market cars are fine, since they are subject to UNECE crash and EU emissions standards as well.
I personally would salivate over a DC5 Integra R. The RSX Type S just doesn't cut it for me, I want to hear that high revving 220hp K20A from the DC5.
If I were raising a family and had the money, I would consider an RS6 Avant (in manual) just for the quirkiness. Hauling shit around, with power, RWD, and in stick--my...

why would i waste my money importing a shitbox when i could buy an SS camaro?

This. The Zeta chassis Camaro is god-tier.
That said. If I had to choose, it'd be a 16V Lancia Delta HF Integrale

I did this more than 10 years ago, dont see the problem it was cheap and reliable (toyota camry turbo diesel lmao)
What is the ultimate anti-benchracing car? As in, a car that performs beyond what would be expected of it from its raw, on-paper stats alone?
