We've been through so much already, and it's only been eight threads!

So! Im making a Q&A to gather all the feedback I can get, maybe there is something anonhorn can teach and we can make this quest a bit more of a happy walk in the caves than the trail of tears it has been so far.

Maybe I made a mistake? Maybe I was too harsh on anonhorn? Something doesn't make sense? Let's find out. =w=

I'l start with some highlights!

a) There was just no way the templars could have gotten behind Leader without you noticing! And even if for some reason they turned into super-nohorns with mega speed and things, you'd use the Pathfinder just to make sure! To, if you were right, there won't be much point in trying to run I think...

b) Maybe the same path of reasoning as above, it's too unlikely that they turned into blood-thirsty monsters; and you have only one way to find out.

c) Anonhorn's and their lewd; a force to be reckoned with!
>>

Quest 2!.png
241KB, 1600x1795px
a) How did they get there so fast?! And if they did, wouldn't the templar drag her fallen behind the lines of her allies? It could also be interpreted that the entrance in which the templar was coming trough was the one you just passed by... but then again, why would she drag her inside the cave?

b) Anonhorn was too much in a hurry! Would Old Leader have taken the herd towards the bathroom there may not have been even a single casualty. This is not a bad choice, to; maybe wasting too much time would have been far worst.

c) Too bad to be true? Pathfinder it! Too good to be true? Pathfinder it! Your hand won't thank you for it, but most of the times you'd rather make sure you understand what's going on.

d) There isn't much wind in the caves anonhorn.
>>

Quest 3!.png
293KB, 1600x2105px
a) Three! You are faced with three paths! You aren't facing the path behind you! ;w;

b) This may have been too subtle; but your eyes did widen for a reason.

c) A haremhorn goes desperate. Also; it was a straight run in an almost straight line! There might have been casualties, but maybe aiming inside a tunnel isn't that easy.

d) A force not to underestimate.

e) Don't feel sad, anonhorn! Those smallhorns were safely warped into the theater through a plot hole. =w=

You are a proud member of the GRAVERS, the City's Justice. Lawbreakers cower at the sound of your footsteps. Ne'er-do-wells shudder at the thought of your blood-red blade.

Or they will, soon enough. You've recently passed Graver training, and earned your very own WAR MACHETE. A Graver just isn't a Graver without one. It's a Graver's signature weapon, and a symbol of their swift and severe justice. It rests proudly at your hip, ready for action on a moment's notice. But right now, you're stand in the middle of the Graver Mess Hall.

You are a young Caelondian
>Man

Cael men have names like Rondy, Hollis, Percy, Gorley, Max,
Cael women have names like Iryse, Vinda, Maude, Nacie

It's a Bastion quest. Let's see how bad I am at writing and formatting.

You're standing around like a dope right now, but you could be doing one of a few things.
>Preparing and looking after graves were the Gravers' original duties. You could be tending to the Graveyard around the back.
>Graver Machetes are some of the sharpest in the city. They cut through a squirt's hide like meesebutter. You could be sharpening your weapon at the forge.
>Gravers are expected to keep their skills as sharp as their blades. You could be practicing your knifework in the training room.

The night is still dark as the stallion – Suna, the girl had called him – gallops through the swirling dust clouds back towards the oasis with heavy, grunting breaths. He is small, but fast, and demonstrates impressive endurance even carrying two people. You suspect Kiyya’s tribe has invested many generations breeding mounts that can survive in this wasteland. You will need his strength to run these beasts down and return to your brother before the hospitality of his hosts spoils.

Your thoughts turn to Dorje, whom you left behind in the Gnollish camp. You know that no course of action left to you was a safe one, but are tormented by the possibility you left him at risk. Your memories are incomplete, but your instincts – carved deeper in your mind than any memory – warned you not to trust them, not to display weakness to them. Would they grow impatient, and take Dorje a slave as they had the other two humans in their camp? There was no way to know for certain. What you did know was that without a guide, this desert would be many times more dangerous to you than it already was. You needed knowledge, and answers.

Scrubby trees come into view as make the final push back to the oasis just in time. At the edge of the world, the eastern horizon had begun to glow an ominous fiery orange, chasing the stars from view. Soon, the sun would rise again, and send life scurrying into the crevices and shadows to escape it. Kirari seems to have had the same thoughts as yours.

“Sandcats, like everything else in this place, are nocturnal hunters. They will be sleeping during the day, or at the least conserving themselves,” she says over your shoulder as she tightens her grip around your waist. “I doubt we will find them in their lair after killing one of them so recently – we will have to track them.”

“I know. It will be easier to track them in their new refuge during the day, perhaps catch them unaware. The desert heat will be against us, though...”

>Voting

Most posts will be narrative, with the player and QM working together to create a worthy story. Every post will provide at least one might-based, nobility-based, and artifice-based avenue if applicable to the situation, and write-ins are both permitted and encouraged. Players vote for their preferred option, with majority determining the final choice. However, in the case of especially critical events, called “trials,” fate will be given its due through the roll of dice.

>Trials

During trials, after the majority have chosen a course of action, the QM will then roll 1d10, add the player’s relevant Aspect (Might, Nobility, or Artifice), and add any relevant bonuses from items or context. If the resulting sum meets the trial’s threshold, the player succeeds. If the sum falls short of the threshold, the player fails. For each margin of 3 the player exceeds or fails the threshold by, the outcome will be more severe (either positive or negative). Poor rolls by players in combat trials are assigned as enemy hits.

The thresholds for each trial are known only by the QM, and are different for every option. Depending on the situation, one option or another will probably be easier than the others. Sneaking past the elite palace guard will be easier than fighting all of them. Killing the feral tribe of cannibals is probably easier than talking them down diplomatically. This could change, of course, if the player is particularly proficient with one Aspect and deficient in another. Perhaps your Artifice is so bad that Might is the better option for getting past those palace guard, after all. Players should consider which approach is most likely to succeed given both the context of the trial and the character’s own skillset.

>Criticals

A trial roll of 10 that passes the threshold is a critical success, and reaps additional benefits. Conversely, a 1 that fails the threshold is a critical failure, and has additional consequences. A 10 that fails to beat the threshold still fails, but the player receives some accommodation, insight, or unforeseen benefit in the attempt. Likewise, a 1 that passes the threshold succeeds, but with a minor hiccup or unforeseen complication.

>Damage

Damage dealt by an enemy is equal to half its Might score (rounding down), and is applied to a character’s weapons and armor first. Once all weapons and armor are damaged, excess damage is assigned to a random Aspect (M, N, or A) by rolling 1d3. That Aspect is permanently reduced by this damage until it is repurchased with XP. Should any Aspect reach 0, the character is crippled and incapacitated until 1 week of medical attention restores the first dot of each Aspect. If any Aspect falls below 0, the character suffers death.

Ever dream of being a ruler? Subjugating innocent citizens of neutral tribes and countries? Are you tired of looking at other people's cultures? Than this is the game for you! Not gonna be stingy with rules, just make a name, location, color and be specific with where you go! RPG if you must, I am just sick of seeing Risk threads with all these shit-tons of rules.

It's your very first day of wizarding school. You just so happen to be a young wizard lacking any appreciable talent, status, and vertical reach. Not much of a wizard at all, really. Getting accepted was actually something of a fluke, as you completely forgot send in your application essay.

Not that it would have mattered; you didn't even write your name on the thing.

Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkword creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

You... are not one of them. You are a transfer student. There was a bit of a mix-up.

>Previously on Dark Gate Academy...
You went on the run from Class 3, were caught by a crazed student from your own Class, but were saved by a decree from Principal Wei declaring that Class 3 must co-operate with you in capturing Alice.

“Please, like a few bruises are going to stop me.”

Ken carefully folds a shirt and places it neatly inside a rucksack.

“Are you sure you don't want to rest a little?” you ask. “I think we were all pretty badly beat up yesterday.”

Ken shakes his head. “Ryoji, I went toe-to-toe with Taka Doi. That jerk stood on my head and beat the crap out of me, and now we're supposed to be working with that class? If I'm going to relax, I need this camping trip. We all do. Now, fill up your bag.”

You sigh and start packing. Ken's adamant on going through with this, it seems. It's probably the exact kind of stress-relief that he needs after everything that went down yesterday. Ken's pretty pissed of at the idea of having to work with those bloodthirsty psychos in Class 3... everyone is, yourself included. These are the same guys who were hunting you don't like a pack of lions, and now you're supposed to help them hunt someone else? Yamato's promised to keep his goons in check, prevent a fiasco like the great Civil War of Dark Gate Academy from happening again... but you don't trust that guy at all. Sure, he saved you from Raiden, but he's still the head of those lunatics.

“I know this little field by a lake just on the outskirts of town that we can set up camp,” Ken explains. “The place is beautiful, and not too far from the school. We're all going to have a hell of a time.”

“Who is the 'we', by the way?” you ask. “Who exactly did you invite?”

Ken pauses. “Well, let's see... I invited all of the DJD, I invited Akemi, Hoshi, Hikaru, Isamu, Nanami, Sora, Raiden's invite has been revoked obviously...”

“Where are they keeping that guy, anyway?”

Ken shrugs. “Who knows with Class 3? Probably in their personal dungeon beneath the school.”

You laugh, “I know you're trying to exaggerate, but after what I've seen from this school, I wouldn't be surprised. You invite anyone else?”

Ken thinks. “Now that I think about it, I pretty much invited everyone in class. I'm sure only a few are up for it, though.”

“Everyone?” you raise an eyebrow.

“Well... I considered inviting Saki, but then decided against it.”

“Why?”

Ken shakes his head. “Don't get me wrong, Saki's cool... but I considered the possibility of you and her having a minor disagreement over something ridiculous, which then explodes into a full-on argument that ruins the relaxed atmosphere of the trip. I hate to say, the odds are pretty high.”

You cross your arms. “That's not showing a lot of faith in us, Ken. We argue all the time, but that's just how we are. It's not like we can't be in the same room or something.”

Ken raises an eyebrow. “Really? Do you think I should invite Saki, then? And can you promise the two of you will be able to keep cool and relaxed without yelling at each-other?"

>Go ahead! Me and Saki get along fine now!
>I can't promise that, but I'll try.

Somebody else was running a Digimon quest a week or so ago, but he randomly stopped so I decided to run one myself. I don't have much experience but here it goes.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Digital Champions: It's an upcoming game where players are given control of a Digital Monster or Digimon and battle
and raise them in a place called the Digital World. The game is still in closed beta but somehow you got lucky enough
to be one of the first few people to try. You're not entirely sure how since you literally have a toaster for a PC
But you're not gonna question it too much.

You've been waiting for a while for the game to download and just as you started to doze off, you hear a "DING!" telling
you that the game has finished. Overly excited, you stare at the opening screen which is confusing since it's different
from the logo that the game has. The thoughts are quickly dispelled as the game immediately prompts you to enter in
some data.
