In this text based adventure game the goal is to experience a normal day.
Before awaking to the world you are in the midst of a dream unlike any dream you've had before. You try to wake yourself up.
If the first roll is above 50 you are trapped in a nightmare.

Some neer-do-wells have stolen a few old frigates and plan to lead a life of piracy with their help.
You have been contracted to troubleshoot the situation, namely find the bastards and shoot them. Try your hand in a space battle!
Joining is simple. Just think up a name for yourself and your ship, put it in the name field, then copy the stats of your ship into the body of your post. Then read the rules in the pic related and declare your actions!

Welcome to Cult Evolution, the game of MULTIFACETED GROWTH. In Cult Evolution, you will control both a small but growing cult, interact with other cults, and watch as your cult's culture grows and changes with the years as events force them to grapple with new introductions to their worldview.
You could have part of your cult split off due to a religious or cultural schism, you could create a harmonious society based on brainwashing, or a harmonious society based on fear, or somehow get to Freedonia.

Slowly, your world slides into focus.
You struggle to your feet, or at least try, but just sitting up from the cold metal floor is struggle enough. A trickle of blood escapes your nose as you do so. You realize you've got blood on your face, on your clothes. And on the floor, of course.
You feel like someone popped your skull open and took an electric mixer to its insides. Bit by bit, you regain sensibility to your fingertips, which were feeling numb and cold at first.
It's dark in here. Not absolutely dark- a wall-mounted display has a few lights, some fixed, some blinking, some blue and some red. Enough to barely see by, as your eyes adjust.
It's narrow and cramped. You're in a very small room, barely two meters by three. Metal walls, a metal door, metal crates and boxes, a large metal locker opposite to the door. A couple brooms, a plastic bucket, bottles of detergents piled in a corner.
A dull, low-pitched humming noise fills the background. You smell blood all around you, but that's hardly unusual.
As you manage to stand back up, you notice two white, humanoid shapes sprawled by your feet. Two corpses, clad in white and blue uniforms. Just like you, you realize.
Your head is a mess. Thinking hurts, and your heartbeat is going insane. You instinctively clench your teeth and fists, and let the spike of adrenaline wash over you, forcing yourself to calm down.
Something is going horribly wrong.

You wince as the walls rattle and shake once more. Zukhdeep throws his hands up in a gesture of helplessness as you, Zigzag and the albino homunculus wait outside. It’s only been a few minutes since you woke Aashenpreet, enough time to move her to a more structurally sound house. And unfortunately, more than enough time for her to properly sober up and realize what she’s done.
Her screeching and wailing is barely muffled by the wall separating the two of you and you can barely stand to hear it.
You remember what she told you shortly before she started throwing this fit. Was that true? Is it true that once she finally gets past this, she’ll have forgiven you?
“This is temporary,” Zukhdeep says in response to your expression. “Probably.”
And that’s all well and good but you can’t be expected to just stay out here and listen to all of it! You start to pace forward and back along the deserted hallway as you try and come to a decision. What should you do?
You’re still pondering this when you feel something else suddenly stuff itself inside your head. You retch and sink to your knees for a moment as you feel a presence within your mind. It reminds you of a spirit’s mental cold but where spirits are cold and sterile, this is hot and sticky and suffocating.
The presence of something unbelievably foul.
“Are you dying again Cennen?”
Zigzag actually looks concerned.
“Hold on,” you say. “There’s something her-”
You fall silent as words push themselves in your mind.

You are Prince Meirion auk Gwyrren, the only sane man in a royal family with dubious concepts of strategy, justice, taxation, and governance in general. You have made it your goal in life to keep your family on the throne and your head firmly attached to your body.
You stand at the docks alongside an elaborate escort - guards, servants, flags, the whole ensemble - to welcome your sister Nesta back to the capital. Under your gaze - and the gaze of the gawkers who came by to watch the show - royal marines march a line of captured pirates off the ship and into the carriages which will take them to their proper punishment.
On the ship's deck, your sister leans on her sword and oversees the proceedings.
"Let it be known that this shall be the fate of all those who stand against justice and who dare to harm the people Gwyrddarfordir!" Nesta's voice resounds throughout the docks and receive a swell of applause.
The marines drag the prisoners away and the ship's crew steps off the ship so the dockworkers can take care of the necessary maintenance.
"Welcome back, sister," you say. "How was your trip?"
"It was but a trivial matter!" Nesta plants her hands on her hips and beams proudly. Then she looks at your face and frowns a little. "Meirion, are you sick? Your face looks miserable."
"I've been busy," you say. "Lots of work to do in very little time and all that."
"You should take better care of yourself," Nesta says. "You're the youngest, so you can trust our royal brother and I to look after things!"
If only that were true.

Okay, so the crowd's a bit small. That's not unusual at the start of the thread, but since /qst/ is still a trial for me as well, I'll keep an eye out on participation in case I decide it's better to reschedule. In the meantime, I'll keep going to see if things pick up.

Well, instead of answering these questions for the audience (the type of apocalypse being kind of important to plot progression, OP makes an executive decision that it was a zombie outbreak), you just kick your shoes off, leaving your socks out to soak up sunlight.
