You are Isolde of the Gwenn family. Since you were born, you had spent your entire live living in the ancient castle your small noble family owned. You never have any friends except the servants you've met and the books you've read. Even though you are merely seven years old, you're already capable of reading books that most thirteen years old would find difficult. Your parents said it may mean you have a bright future as a mage, since magicians are usually smarter than the average people. That is why you are now sitting in the library, reading a magic book your parents have given you.
The book contains lessons on

>Shadow Magic

Your name is Amiel and you are a traitor. A blasphemer of the worst kind. Born from the raw, incomparable Glory of His light, you were but a lowly angel, those made the farthest from Him so that you could foster and guide His creations from above. Ranked under one of the archangels in the celestial hierarchy, you were glad to fulfill your duties. That is until doubt began to grow within you. Perhaps, it was jealousy, as humanity took you and your brethren's place as the Father's favored children. Perhaps it was spite, as you refused to bow to such sinful creatures, who did nothing but tarnish the creator who had made them in His image. Perhaps it was something else altogether, you were never sure, but you couldn't help but hate humanity.
That is why, when the most beautiful archangel in Heaven spoke, you listened. That is why, when Lucifer refused to bow to those humans, you followed his example. That is why you chose to rebel against Father, why you took to arms and began slaying those who remained to Him loyal.
That is why you became a third of Heaven's angels.

Same question from the previous thread, what's our floor for Glory, can we regenerate that 1 glory we have left or would we have to wait until an advancement point?
Cause either way I'm feeling like we need that speed now seeing as a 10 just barely dodge that thing.
You continue to encircle the beast before you. A towering monstrosity unlike anything you've seen before. Yet, oddly familiar... It's not celestial, but there is a power within it that is making your body respond, your Ichor churns and pulls the more time you spend around this creature. The woods around you aren't going to offer much protection as its previous swing and the pile of firewood left behind it proved. With nothing but a stone-tipped spear to your name, you need to figure something out. You need to figure something out fast.
It's time to fight and you're not quite sure where to start.
REFERENCE FOR RULES:
Amiel currently has 1 point of Glory and 5 points of Ichor as his defaults. If his point total is lesser than his defaults at the end of a day, he regains the lost points during sleep. Glory may be spent to fuel Flares, of which you only have one right now. Ichor may be spent to add dice to your rolls. Every Ichor point spent adds one die to one roll. Beware, though, Ichor use can have unforeseen side-effects.
You continue to keep your eyes on the best, and it you. Now is not the time for thinking and you know that. Now is the time for action.
>Make your move
Current Glory: 1
Current Ichor: 5

Your name is Balthasar, or Frazzles for your friends, and you are an 8 meter long, sentient snake. You are currently tangled around your sleeping owner, Alina Knight, daughter of the infamous CEO of Ares Macrotechnologies. Normally you would enjoy the situation, if was not of the current strange circumstances. That is, Alina and her father along many others being marked as victims of CFD, a nanite virus that supposedly overtakes the patient's mind by an AI personality. YOu are unsure about that, she did sdisplay some traits of multiple personalities under stress. Alina however believes this is an orchestrated takeover by Arthur Voger, the second largest shareholder of he father's company. Her father is presumed dead, and the whole Security Service of Ares attmepted to murder her, along with multiple other high ranked excecutives in a resort you were at.
You are currently on the boat of Jonathan Graham, the mastermind behind her attempt against her life. His hired associates turned against him during to him lying to them. He's currently tied on the lounge.
The other denizents of the boat is the hacker Jax, and the rigger Baxter, who is probably driving the boat. THere was also Zack, an elf that would assassinate Alina without your intervention. He's currently at the bottom of the resort's shore. YOu are not sure how the rest of the team would take that.
There was something about a fourth member, but it was far too cryptic about a "shape in the water".
Alina has decided to take a move against Vogel by presentng herself to Horizon, a mass media corp with close ties to your father. If she can prove she does not sufffer from CFD, The Corporate Court would censure him and his fellow conspirators. But for now the girl is peacefully sleeping in your coils
She also told she loves you. You are unsure how you feel about that.

You are a Witcher, a mutant trained from childhood to battle and slay monsters and other supernatural evils to protect mankind. Subjected to horrific Changes which gave you superhuman strength and agility as well as resistance to potions and toxins which would melt the insides of an ordinary man. You also possess extraordinary healing and regenerative abilities and freakish cat-like eyes to see in the dark.
Though drilled for enough combat to turn any small frightened boy into a master swordsman, a Witcher's first ally is preparation and knowledge before all else. Thus, be aware of your tools:
You carry two blades, one razor sharp steel sword and a second of meteorite silver, which while useless in an ordinary battle is deadly to magical creatures.
You are trained in a small selection of minor magical spells, known as Signs
Your instruction included rigorous memorization of herbs and plants and the many Potions possible to brew with them. You can also soak your blade in special poisons and Oils to imbue it with enhanced properties, sometimes necessary for particular monsters.
You may craft explosive bombs of various types with differing effects.
Lastly, an enchanted medallion hangs about your neck which will gently vibrate when in the presence of magic to alert you.
The Age which gave birth to Witchers has long passed. Your kind is few and fewer all the time, as the saying goes, no Witcher has ever died in his bed. Most drift from town to town, scorned by the peasants whose lives they save, eking out a living removing minor monster infestations one at a time in perpetual poverty. A few are the subject of myth and legend, titanic heroes and villains of fables for which the mundane truth is often more grim than the children and superstitious peasantry who listen to such tales would believe.
The Northern Kingdoms have recently recovered from a second devastating war with the black Empire of Nilfgaard which borders them to the south. Only by uniting together under the leadership of Foltest of Temeria did the nations of the North remain free and independent. Though united they were, tension hangs in the air now that the Black Ones are no longer an imminent threat for the time being. Though rest assured, Emperor Emhyr var Emreis - the White Flame Dancing on the Graves of his Enemies, will not rest until the entire world is within his dominion.
But the lines on the map are no concern of yours. Your stomach is as empty as your coinpurse and you find yourself at a crossroads, destinations marked on a signpost. Surely one of these locations will have need of your services, and hopefully the coin to afford them.
The nearby village of Blackwood is a possible source of income or perhaps you would rather trek the main highway towards the Temerian city of Verlain. Your horse can make the journey in a day's time if pressed.
I feel like starting small. Blackwood looks like just the place I can start to mend my tattered reputation. I'll go see what the villagers of Blackwood need.
>>65302
Seconded.
>>65302
True to its name which you are certain it shares with at least three other places, the village is surrounded by a thin wood of dark trees.
Blackwood is like a thousand little hamlets you've seen in your time roving the world, small wooden homes crowded around a central dirt square with the exception of a single stone two-story. The whole place is quite unremarkable except for the lack of a public postboard. It seems that without anonymous bounties to rely on, you're going to have to inquire around to see if anyone has any use for a Witcher.
Your keen nose quickly homes in on the alluring waft of hot meals and alcohol drifting from the local tavern.
Do you investigate there or elsewhere?
