This is the current situation.
You have recently taken over Osaze (formerly known to English speakers as Egypt) and restored its ancestral name of Mizrayim. In the otherwise dull and flattened (literally and culturally) earth, the place has experienced somewhat of a renaissance; internet service is once again widespread, the music scene consists of more than DC Talk tribute bands, and it's possible to get a decent drink without being sneaky about it.

You have 11 cabals available. Since you have more than 10, two of them are required to maintain your systems.
"Too Much Light" as the New Jerusalem cadre is known derisively, has 2 roving missionary teams in Misrayim, preaching repentance as a way to stop the drought. In addition, traditionalist advocate Beverly LaHaye is camped out at your border.
Misrayim has good drought preparedness level and intermediate plagues preparedness level; the drought has been handled for now. TOL still demands productivity from the California base, but not the Misrayim base.
SPECIAL: Any cabals or Villains not used for a project can back up local police and TOL security, bolster construction and medical teams, and generally help keep the territory civilized.
Assigning cabals to a project allows it to be implemented. A complexity 2 job will require 2 cabals to be completed, etc. Undermanning a project gives it a chance to fail. Assigning a Villain to a project allows it to be roleplayed, possibly negating a failure roll or resulting in bonuses on success. Overmanning a project doesn't do much.
Complexity 1 (auto success):
# Harass or sabotage a Hero, or tie up a missionary team by making them ineffective.
# Send a cabal to a region you have no presence in, to see what unique opportunities that region offers. All the regions with no TOL presence haven't been surveyed yet.
# Take advantage of discovered opportunties (see next post).
Complexity 2 (50/100 success):
# Produce MECs. This adds one dot to the MEC cabal counter per base. You have a good mix of humans, infiltrator and heavy MECs in your forces.
# Lease the Misrayim base's capabilities to a startup to implement a proposed project.
# Use the California base to produce propaganda and infrastructure to start bringing its territory under your control (1/5).
# Recruit in Misrayim. This gives you an extra cabal.
Complexity 3 jobs available (33/66/100 success):
# Continue pursuing space research. Space Race rules: Your progress is faster, but you must commit an even number of cabals, so 2 or 4.
# Continue AI, nuclear, or sonic research.
# Attempt to eliminate a Hero, or get rid of a missionary team (by force or by cleverness).
Complexity 4 jobs available (25/50/75/100 success):
# Continue pursuing MEC research.
# Recruit from the general unbelieving population or from TOL.

The year is 2084 and the United States of America leads ATLAS (Atlantic League of Allied States) in war against the USSR and COMINTERN (Communist International Alliance). Due to the use of nuclear weapons, much of the Earth has become irradiated and uninhabitable. However, all hope is not lost. The genius scientists employed by the ORION Corporation have discovered that the Lagrange points surrounding suitably large celestial bodies (such as stars, and theoretically some super-sized gas giants) contain microscopic wormholes that connect to the Lagrange points around other stars. With the help of the Lagrange Engine, properly equipped spaceships can now travel to distant star systems in the blink of an eye. Both ATLAS and COMINTERN are racing to colonize beyond the solar system to secure both future prosperity and resources for their citizens. ORION too, has struck out into the black, dreaming of independence from the laws and restrictions of Earth-bound nations.
You will control the destiny of one of thousands of colony ships launched in the wake of this discovery (and hopefully the resulting colony)! But first, who is your benefactor?

1 - ATLAS (Blue)
The capitalistic and mostly democratic ATLAS is the loose federation of dozens of countries somewhat in the vein of the EU. ATLAS is headed by the United States, forming the ATLAS Security Council with delegates from Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Israel, Australia, India and South Africa.

2 - COMINTERN (Red)
As the chief rival and current enemy of ATLAS, COMINTERN seeks to bring the light of socialism to the world. Led by the USSR, prominent members of the Bloc include China, Brazil, Iran and Cuba.

3 - ORION (Yellow)
A joint Swiss-Norwegian conglomerate, the ORION Corporation has made trillions of dollars playing COMINTERN and ATLAS off each other. Now, dreaming of the frontier, they seek to set out on their own colonization ventures in an effort to further cement their independence.

You towel yourself off after a shower and change into some cleaner clothes. Although you emerged victorious from your sparring session with your siblings, your victory wasn't effortless, and, at Myrddin's suggestion, you decided to make yourself presentable.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" You ask your advisor.
"Business and pleasure." Myrddin hands you two elaborate invitation cards. "Some petty nobles are meeting at a teahouse to talk about trade, and there's a small ceremony at one of the temples. I thought you should attend. Alternatively, we need someone to oversee the palace's inventory of alchemical and enchanted supplies."
"Didn't we already do that?" You ask. "Twice?"
"Yes, but this time, Isla Owens and Nia Fisher will be in attendance, and I can arrange for Lady Rhonwen to be there as well," Myrddin explains. "This is a good chance for you to get to know them."
"For now, perhaps," you say, "but we'll need to come up with something better. There's only so many times we can go over the palace's stocks before it becomes thoroughly pointless. I assume the other invitations have similar business?"
"Seren auk Caunys and Ceri auk Haearnty will be discussing business at the teahouse," Myrddin says, "while our friends Delyth and Mererid auk Hirbraich will be at the temples."
The meeting with Isla, Nia and Rhonwen is pointless busywork, but you can just rush the work or ignore it entirely to focus on them. The ceremony with Delyth and Mererid isn't a major social function, but it does play to your reputation as the Victorious Prince. Finally, the business meeting with Seren and Ceri is less intimate, but it should have good business opportunities for you.

He nods, and falls in next to you as you crack open the door to the arena. The boisterous crowd noise becomes much more clear as you stride through the doorway. Though partially blinded by the glaring spotlights, you can see that the makeshift colosseum is packed with far more people than were at your match against Belts.
