You're dropped in the middle of the BLM land on the border of Nevada and california in the summer.
You have nothing on you but the clothes on your back.
How do you get water before dehydrating and dying in 3 days?

Either that zone by the Amargosa River or the Death Valley region.
The point of the thread is to talk about unconventional hydration sources.

200 years ago hunters made more than doctors. Now hunting is nothing but a hobby. Kill me now for being born in the wrong era.

You were born in the right era to post Pepes though! Look at the bright side.
>>

Fur trade was at its peak, had nothing to do with the hunting. and lots of those animals went to waste besides the pelts. realistically it was pretty disgusting, glad I don't have to live in such a barbaric era, where just taking the skin off something and leaving the rest to rot is seen as okay, and your testicles are an extension of your brain.

Any male nurses here? Been a fork lift driver for warehouses since I was 18 and I'm 22 now. Thinking of going to nursing school. Hospitals are everywhere so I can move to even the smallest of towns in /out/ country and get a job in the ER or ICU. Tired of living near polluted cities to keep a job. Thoughts?

Go for it. RN's make decent money and there will be so many fine female nurses around to hit on. You will always find a job too.
>>
>>717061
I'm a nurse, one of the main reasons for choosing this degree was the ease at which I could move around. Also, working three 12's gives you lots of off days to do other stuff. I've moved from Tennessee to Nevada and now Oregon with no issues at all. It's pretty based M8.

What's the best state to live in for cost of living, price of land/housing, hunting, fishing, and /out/ in general? I currently live in Virginia and the National Forests are garbage because the AT runs through them and hipsters leave trash everywhere, spray paint everything, etc. The hunting is boring and the fishing is all down on the big rivers which I can't afford a boat for. And the housing and land market is complete shit. I don't feel like paying $450K for 5 measly acres and a rectangle box with absolutely no appeal.

I was planning on moving to Tennessee...

jew york, maybe
also i think we already have this thread
where i said jew york in

it's state land not national but you can hunt/camp on it so what's the difference
>>
Minnesota.

Land of 10,000 lakes, lots of public land for hunting. Low(er) cost of living but kinda low paying job market too.
>>
OP here. I've been researching a lot on Montana. It's got a fucking ton of game to hunt and I hear fishing isn't bad either. Also has a huge fuck ton of public forest land. It sounds like heaven. I've been looking up houses on Zillow and they look nice too. Colorado was my first choice but I know they are going to become California II with their shitty liberals taking over and wanting to ban guns. But seriously the imagination of hunting wild sheep, goat, moose, elk, bears, and mule deer brings me back to my childhood of playing Cabela's Big Game Hunter...

Stretch out your rectus femoris. When you spend all day sitting with your hip flexors in a shortened position they become used to it and tend to retract to that position. That fucks up your posture and put your lower back into a position that causes pain.

236 KB,
I recently picked up an air mattress (not pic related) for cheap because I figured I could use it for college or a guest later down the road.

"Oh hey, I could also use this for camping."
"Anon, what kind of pussy brings an air mattress for camping? Just sleep on the ground"

Do air mattresses really have that bad of a "pussy can't handle the outdoors" reputation? I mean it's not like I'm using bedsheets and bringing a coffee table with me. I just use it as a layer between my sleeping bag and the ground so my whole right side isn't numb when I wake up.

I used one, its good for really hot and humid climates.. Honestly is better too if you have stomach issues and can't lay flat. besides a cot. its the next best thing..

but theres an even smaller market for adjustable cots, that don't take up too much physical space. I rarely overnight camp any more cause of my medical issues.

Have any of you tried to print a map from opencyclemap? Can this be done? I'm actually using my phone to check the maps when I hike but it makes me depend on extra batteries.

why? would it really have been that hard to screencap a map from the site you're referencing so we can evaluate if it's worth checking out?

fuck, people are lazy sometimes.
>>
>>710403
If you need a screencap from opencyclemap it means you don't know about layer based cartography, and less about printing it. In fact, I doubt you know how to navigate with a compass.

Thanks for the bump tho.

/too drunk to not edit
all you really need to do is examine to dimensions before you buy. use one person tent to narrow down the search and then see what people say about the actually length. i'm 6'4" and have used pic related many times before. hannibal is hilarious btw, good taste.
>>
>>713583
What this guy said is right but be careful, just because you are 77 inches long doesn't mean an 80 inch tent will fit you

I'm 6'3 and my tent is 90" long and I just fit lengthwise without laying at an angle. You have to remember you are longer lying down because your feet point out and you stretch out
