Pics of ded snake incoming
This fucker almost got away from me in the grass too and I don't think I have ever tried so hard to make sure a fish doesn't get back into the lake.

Hi /out/
I'm a britbong who is going on a camp in a month or so and it has just occurred to me that I'll need a tent.
I won't be the only person on this trip but I will be the only person in the tent, so I had a look around on the internet for one. I came across pic related, which looks big enough, has a decently light weight to it. It only uses one pole to hold it up, which is nice for simple construction.
I was just wondering if there are better choices or, if any of you have used this particular tent (it's called a Grand Canyon...

Enjoy waking up to a soaking wet sleeping bag with all that condensation. Get a mesh tent with a rain fly, or get a tarp since you live on incest island and have literally nothing to worry about.

?
Hey OP I just ordered this. Should be getting it in a couple days. I'll let you know how it is.
hi /out/, i'm going to scotland in july, visiting edinburgh for 2 days and then spend the rest of my holidays hiking in the highlands. any suggestions?

Make sure you know how to properly pronounce "Edinburgh"

Are you using public transport or driving?
What are /out/s thoughts on wool blankets?
Thinking of getting one, would it be worth the weight and size on a long trip?
Well if you do get one just be SURE to also purchase a heavy fucking leather strip with 2 buckles on it. Cuz other lighter cord won't do the same job. That's for sure....
Wool blankets are warm, but heavy. A down blanket/quilt I'd much warmer and much lighter.
Wool will keep you warm while it's wet, but it does absorb water and gets extremely heavy while wet.
What does /out/ think of parangs? Personally I detest the idea that a big knife can do the work of an axe, but short of building a house you can do anything with one of these. Also parang general.

Just another machete
Waste of time unless you have a ton of shitty brush where you go, like lantana. Then, it's very useful.
It's not really /out/ unless you have a minimum of 40+ acres.

My folks have a formal lawn about the size of a football field. When I visit in the Summer I get on their ride-on and just spend a few hours going full Forest Gump. That shit is just magnificent.
Hey everyone
I've wanted to move out of my country because they are soon to ban guns (also hunting is illegal here) but i don't want to move to america. Is there any country where there's a decent hunting scene that isn't america?

Sometimes you will become the hunted though.
Hey sc/out/s, yesterday I posted a thread on /g/ but I didn't get a lot of feedback. I want to hear your opinion on an app I am willing to develop.
Recently I had the urge to find an app that would provide the ability to easily recognize plants in the field. But most of them were cumbersome to scroll through the lists of pictures and only had double digit entries in its libraries.
I had an idea of creating a community based hub with indexing variables (Classification, colour, texture, size, etc.) to easily identify and find plants through the list. Since...

You could select one of the many categories above, and then it would show you a list in alphabetical order of all available listings.
In detail look at one of the listings. Maybe add support for user added pictures.
Ability to search by name or available variables that you known while inspecting the plant to narrow down the list to find what you are looking for quicker.
Okay listen /b/. I'm a degenerate without a highschool diploma and work a minimum wage job. I'm a depressed piece of shit and on the brink of suicide and giving up. I've always wanted to explore and rough it, just go off without a destination and really go for it. I want to disappear for a few months, and if I really like it might never come back.
I got $5000 and I want to buy a van I could fit a bed and a bike in.
Any of you guys ever rough it like this? Any basic survival skills I should learn? Also suggestions on good knives/multi-tools I should...

WWOLF
If you get lucky, maybe you could fuck a farmer's daughter or wife.
US Military
If you get lucky, you could fuck a virgin Muslim girl and then pass her around to your squad before she snitches on you and you get allahu akbar'd
Or if you want something else, you can join those hippie faggots that hike everywhere.

dont fucking bring a bag of flour
I like the idea of this, Does it work well enough, any better alternatives?
>>722926
I have a couple, but only really wear them as scarves.
the downside of them is that neck stubble shreds the material, I get through at least one a season before it's in tatters. I stopped buying the buff ones as you can pic up generic ones for about 1/6th of the cost of a branded one
They're alright, but I would use a simple square bandanna over a buff. They have more uses and cost less.
What are you currently looking forward to getting? What are you not able to buy but really want?
>What is something currently NOT on the /out/ market that you would really appreciate being manufactured?
pic related got it as a early Easter gift from my mother, which is a pleasant surprise. We don't normally do gifts on Easter.
Leatherman Super Tool 300.
Has pretty much everything I could need in a multi-tool. Just waiting for a good sale on it. Amazon has it cheaper than most but still a big purchase for me on my tight budget.
For snowmobile ... narrow front end kit (Shocks, upper/lower A-arms, spindles... $$$), wrap... couple other little upgrades/accessories.
It's good in stock/as-is form for now, but there's some upgrades I want to make to it. Front-end will help in the mountains/backcountry, but the current setup is real nice on the race track.
Moto needs a top-end, fork seals, and some other small parts (chain/sprockets, some plastics). Might wrap that too (>tfw sponsors), have a nice matched-set between sled and bike.
Still have my '12 to deal with too.

i would like to get a forest away from people where i can build a rape cave to abduct and entertain comely girls in.
I know there was a thread about minerals and rocks but i cant seem to find it.
Would anyone here happen to have any idea what kind of rock this is?
It's pretty light i doubt its even two pounds.
It's shiny on the outside but is dull when cut.
Has a bunch of little tiny holes in it.
And is not magnetic.
I found this out in the texas panhandle around 5 years ago and it was the only thing around that looks similar.
Several rock "experts" have had no idea what it is. One said it may be part of a meteorite but im not getting my hopes up....

pic of cut side
I'd also like to mention it does not float.
Do you guys ever practice "post-apocalyptic" scenarios, or just hike around and camp for a night or two drinking beer? I'm not talking about zombies or any faggot shit, but something realistic like power goes out for a week, or a national disaster that destroys your house and you live to live in the woods nearby for a few days until help comes. My family has 80 acres adjacent to a National Forest and I'm thinking of crafting a bug out location, and digging a hole that I will stockpile and hide canned goods in. If I were to bury it, how likely would a bear...

Fuck all that. If/when SHTF, I'm gonna go buy a bunch of heroin and OD. I'm not tryin to deal with all that.

>autism camp
I haven't but it sounds like a fun idea. I'm not into the whole prepping thing but i'd do it for self sufficiency reasons.
It would be a fun exercise to give yourself like 30 minuets to fill a small backpack with gear then hightail it to the woods and see how long you'd last. I might have to try this this fall when the hunting season starts up again.
I imagine building a shelter then living off squirrels/rabbits/whatever the fuck for...

We all dream about a zombie apocalypse the only downside for me I'm a ukfag so guns are pretty scarce although I do have an awesome crossbow to fight off the undead
