This game will drop you into the Wyoming wilderness, this game made me feel more alone than hiking on the PCT in winter.

Mainebub may have to deal with snow and cold for 6 months of the year, but I can't say I'm not jelly right now of him catching stripper after stripper in his backyard

Also, the professional photo analyst is in! Post a pic of your fish with a shoe next to it. Don't mention the size of the shoe and he will tell you what it weighs!

This is fishing, gotta give it the extra ~1/2lb. But other anon is way off. I guess you gotta see them IRL and actually hold them. Catching a 16" bass with a gut vs a skinny one can make such a huge difference.
South-Estern Pyrenees reporting in.

Spent the summer in the south eastern pyrenees two years ago, truly a fantastic mountain range. Met some nice bloke up in the mountains who gave me his email-address on a post-it and invited me to come visit him sometime, but managed to loose the note :(

Hey /out/ recently started getting into doing a lot of outdoor activities solo, just wondering if anyone had any tips or input on Solo camping.
>>769493
What are the things you think you need to improve?
>>769493
>any tips
much like sex, /out/ is better with another person and even better in a group.
If you're stealth camping, best time to set a fire is at sunset.
Stretch. You don't wanna get injured alone.
Bring some potent binoculars and look up at night.
Bring a book. (you will process things differently when reading in the woods)
Resist the urge. put down the phone.
Remember you're not splitting the load. Just bring the essential.
Hi. Im from SPAIN
Any question?
Best country for hiking.
Sun, beach, cheap, girls, food, party and nature.
Im waiting for you anon.
How does wild camping works there? Can people do it or will them get in troubles with da bolice?
Is that Bolonia beach really nice or is it a scam?
>>769485
First sorry for my bad englsih. im using google traductor.
The theme of the camp works very well. There are many places to do it. you can go to paying campsites that offer toilets, showers, electricity. or you can go to areas completely free and free camping. There are many sites near the beaches. there are many people doing camping. many people from germany, uk, france
you will not have any problem with the police, in Spain you can drink alcohol in the street, you can be partying 24 hours, you...

Two tourists visiting Yellowstone National Park were ticketed earlier this week after they allegedly put a baby bison inside their vehicle over fears the calf was freezing, witnesses say.
>allegedly
>no ranger sir, that bison opened the trunk and hopped in on it's own
try that crap with a moose and see what happens, kind of surprised the mama bison didn't have something to say about it

Fuck people, leave nature alone. When we meddle with it we only make it worse.3
This is so dumb it's actually fun.

If they really cared about it they would have buckled it up
Tough environment that is similar to the home environment for most of us. Anyone watch this episode? It was interesting, also on right now.

I know her. She works on the upper floor of my building at the University of Hawaii. Cassie.
She said the guy was a massive faggot nearly the entire time. I mean...the guy brought fucking 550 cord to a damp environment because he was going to be master bushcraft guy and start a fire right away. Well, they didn't get fire until day 8.

Alright so /existential crisis/ here. I've decided I'm going to take a boat or canoe or something very far for a very long time
I've got a decent idea on the gear I would need I was more curious about the best waterways to do this with. I want to be on the water for at least 6 months, and I am not going for ocean travel, I would prefer to stay within America.
As my transportation will likely be a canoe I would like to avoid as many rapids and waterfalls as possible.
Plz respond
bad idea dude. just have some beer and wait for it to all blow over

I quit drugs and alcohol.
No dude sounds like a great idra really and I'm going to do this regardless of the outcomr of this thread. I already found a good route because I figured you guys would try to discourage me.

To be short: It is great to hitchhike in Japan

I get that there are far more effective defenses against bears than a knife, but if it comes down to you being mauled and a knife is within reach, what would be effective? What if you were unable to strike the face: how large of a knife would you need to effectively puncture the skin and into the rib cage?
>>762440
> what kind of knife?
A fucking big one.
If you are ever in the situation where you need to stab a bear with a knife you are fucked, but you'd need something at least 6 inches long, preferably 8 or 9. The blade shape would need to be designed for stabbing/penetration- a fairly narrow blade shape or at least one that tapers down significantly toward the point. To make penetration easier it would be better to have a sharpened false edge on the top of the blade as well. I guess i...

So a dagger
>>762490
A dagger wouldn't be as good as a bowie because they usually have a pretty narrow blade, and you want to be doing as much damage as possible, and a bowie would beat a dagger in this.
Hey /out/,
What do you do to stay healthy and in shape? How do you eat?
I ask because I've gained a respectably gross beerbelly over the course of 3 years and couple with my other nasty habits, I've had some trouble going very far while out this year.
Any tips? fun ways to stay healthy while out?
/fit/ general.
People will swear I have the worst diet they have ever witnessed but not many folks can match my endurance in the woods.
I eat high fat, high protein, multi vitamin and water. This has been my diet for years.
I go running and biking, pull ups and push ups and planks. I have always been a fan of putting weight into a backpack for any of these activities.
Unconventional I would imagine, I also workout in the woods. Climbing anything I can, lifting logs and boulders. Also, chopping wood is GOAT for exercise and is proven to raise testosterone more than playing...

I run 5k every other day and on weekends I either go camping or walk and jog at least 15 kms within the city. I try to eat clean, and the days I don't run I do a routine that includes planks, shrugs, ohp, hip thrusts, squats (just body weight), bent over rows and curls. Now that I right it sounds like a lot but it literally takes me 30 minutes every day, except for the long walk on weekends of course.
>>761795
Definitely ditch the beer except for social gatherings and such. Drinking your calories will never fail to put fat on you. Other than that, work on preparing low carb, high protein meals. My lunch is usually a mixed green salad with tuna or turkey burger along with some almonds and walnuts.
looking for some good /out/ movies
I found the first 30 minutes of the survivalist pretty cosy and it's an alright /out/ movie.

What does /out/ think of antique glassware?
Garbage, or an interesting piece of lost americana?
For instance in my backyard there runs a small creek that during the 1800s had a mill, so if you look carefully enough you can find old medicinal, and beverage bottles from the mid to late 1800s
