I just moved to Kansas in the fall, looking forward to storm season.
i'm leaving kansas too soon. unless there is some shit in the next 2 weeks ill miss it. grew up wishing my home town would get destroyed. it never will though thanks to the federal penitentiary and usdb. government weather control to keep their stuff safe.
Seems like it could be fun. Doable of a motorcycle? 600cc sportbike and up, that is.
I sort of stomm chase with my audio recording rig But since I've only been doing this seriously for a couple years I haven't gotten much. Mostly because all the big dangerous thunderstorms keep missing us. I only have a couple gooduns and they aren't really that special †bh

There is a app called Blitzortung that can alert you when cloud to ground lightning strikes are occurring in whatever range you set. http://en.blitzortung.org/live_lightning_maps.php?map=30

>Do you chase?
Nope. I'm not living anywhere near Tornado Alley.
I dig Pecos Hank's youtube videos, though. He's an entertaining chaser.

I've seen some wicked storms, but still never a tornado. I really want to see one, but am not sure I ever will.
