What's a good diet to do that will help me improve my brain /sci/?

Shameless self bump.
Nothing but jenkem

Healthy foods. Don't over eat. Exercise. Literally it.
Which way does the universe stack
Are pulsars like unique and do the all choose to spin the same way?
>Twirl pool
>are we still in the first universe
>no
But I think thes a provable connection too
>>7789417
Pulsars are part of alien communications systems. How they are set is determined by their location.

>What are you studying/did you study?
Did BS in ME, doing MS in AE
>What projects?
Stress analysis on a big plane
>Which books?
I'm taking a course on damage tolerance, which uses a textbook compiled from notes, and a course on mechanics of materials, using pic related
CE, everything with Discrete Maths and Combinatorics in the title is a must in your repertoire.
>>7789366
taking an internal combustion engines class as one of my senior electives. the project is worth 60% of the grade. have to build/modify an IC engine and take a bunch of readings with Dyno Sim.
anybody got any ideas?
also, Solidworks flow simulation a shit.
How do I fucking focus on science and learning when video games and 4chan exist
Why do emotions overpower logic and reason
Have to fight your animal brain and instincts. Literally fighting yourself. It's tough when the source of all free knowledge is also the source of all distractions, so you could just buy books and get rid of your internet capabilities and computer for the time being.

Change your diet. That will help.
Can anyone familiar with Levi-Civita point me in the right direction with this? I must be messing something trivial up or forgetting some commutation.
Also, can anyone show this simply with differential forms? I don't know much about them except that they exist.
delta(ij) . a(j) = a(i), not a(j)
this might fix it
sorry if you're doing some weird index switching and I'm an idiot
Well for one the derivative operator doesn't commute with B.
what kind of program are you interested in taking? here's one i find neat.
>>7789260
Looks like a pretty standard physics program (which is good)
Doing a Master's in AE now, specializing in solid mechanics and composites, but if I ever do a second, Penn State's Master's in Acoustics would be cool

>>7789276
do you think studying mechanical engineering is better than physics? i'm worried about losing the opportunity to have accreditation employment wise, but i'm worried about course selection being redundant since i already know how to use CAD and matlab.
>>7789285
Depends a lot on your goals, honestly. For me (and my family's finances), it was important to get a good-paying job as soon as possible, leaving further education for evening classes, so I went with Mechanical. It got me a great job right away, and I could still satisfy my physics curiosity through electives/extra classes.
If you're sure you want to go the PhD route, and aren't really that worried about employability in the short term, pure physics might be better.
Is this legit? average user of /sci is a genius?
>>7789228
You are retarded.
>>7789228
People lie and cheat. Most of the faggots doing IQ tests on here probably look up the answers.
>>7789241
Lol, that image is bullshit.
Thoughts on this math text book? It is required for this Calculus class im taking this semester.
Overpriced shit but if you need it you need it I guess.
>>7789232
It's not overpriced at all. You can rent it on Amazon for $18.
>>7789232
>shit
Care to elaborate?
This is incredible. This guy has an IQ higher than 200. His autism must be directed towards a scientific cause.
He derives the laws of quantum dynamics from Super Mario 64.

This is /v/ material, not /sci/ material.
>>7789225
Higher than 200? Where does it say that
Or are you a 14 year old fanboy
is it possible to do "weighted" gradient descent on piece wise defined functions?
>inb4 hurr durr retard
like doing a bias of one term over the other, if it is possible, what would the graph/gradients even look like or mean?
its easy to say that the gradients are pointing towards the downward/upward slope, but what would it geometrically look like in R3 for weighted piecewise functions?
I guess the functions would have to be differentiable and smooth. So it would look like any normal gradient, aesthetically. I don't know what you mean by weighted.
Crunch, rip or heat death? Which is most likely?

what are you implying, friendo?

I need moral guidance.
A friend of mine gave me a small maths puzzle, telling me it was "kind of tricky, took me about half a day"
That was 2 days ago, I have 1 more day until i see him again and I havent solved it yet. Obviously i will keep trying but i am not very smart and i dont hold out much hope of figuring it out.
Do I
1) be honest and tell him I couldnt do it and have him think less of me
2) Google the answer
3) Try and get a hint from some other friend
4) skip out on some of my studying to really devote a lot of time to it...

>>7789167
That's a rather subtle way to get us to solve your homework.
>>7789187
not really considering im not going to post the question
it will get solved in <10s and thus ruin the puzzle for me
Be honest, show him what work you have, have him guide you through the rest of the process. He likely wasn't doing this to trick you...probably just wanted to share his passion with a kindred spirit.
Would it be safe to assume that any string of integers will appear as consecutive digits of pi?
no b/c zfc
it's never really "safe to assume"
What da fuck is pi.
Are there any other numbers like pi and e that have yet to be discovered?
XD math is fuckin awesome
Someone in my family who's in eight grade is looking to do a science project for school, I think it's a science fair type thing. It was a partner thing, but he's autistic so no one would partner with him. Any cool /sci/ approved stuff you can do at home? He is autistic but he's very well behaved and concentrates well and his father can help him.
a rather demeaning way to talk about yourself
And we're supposed to beleive you're not talking about yourself
Seriously though have him make a density tower they're cool and he'll like it anyway
