Because you're almost guranteed to either get a stillborn or a deformed retard and even if you don't he's pretty much guranteed to die young.

Hello, I'm currently taking statistics and someone in my class mentioned to me that there is a way to program your calculator to help you immensely for exams. Does anyone know what he is talking about? How do I do this?

I'm currently using pic related, TI-83 Plus

If you cant handle stats, I dont think you can handle programming your calculator for stats

You can save formulas and stuff into a program just use google to find out how you Mong.

Stumped

Is there a reason why this can't work?

It's a patent for inducing physiological states in the nervous system through weak electromagnetic fields via a computer screen.

Here's the patent

well for one, no one uses CRTs anymore. Second at those distances the magnetic field would be really fucking weak and liable to being drown out by other environmental magnetic fields.

That's not to say you can't mess with the brain using magnetic fields though. But current transcranial magnetic stimulation setups need precise positioning and relatively high magnetic fields to have any effect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMR_T0mM7Pc
>>
>>7813541
The magnetic field would probably need to be so powerful your electricity bill would be 2k a month and it'd probably just give you a headache or make you nauseated like most other kinds of brainwave-matching EM waves.

Might work, but not really workable if the idea is to brain-wash people into buying a new brainwashing television set every 3 months.

Why is it food cost nearly twice as much now as it did a decade ago but we're producing twice as much food? This isn't how supply and demand works. GMO promised us cheaper food but is it making food more expensive?

You said it.
GMO means patent, which means monopolistic intellectual property exploitation, which means distortion of market prices.

Wait for the inevitable 21st century oil shock in the other direction, as in over $200 a barrel or something. We eat oil today, bad planning. All it takes is a few Allah Ackbars over there in the ME, a Russian bear gone berserk, a rogue China...the possibilities are endless.

How is it that a photon which is emitted from an object with a recession velocity greater than c can reach us at all? I understand that at first the photon is indeed receding but how can it ever reach a coordinate point where the recession velocity is less than c if it started out in one that was greater than c? Shouldn't the nature of accelerated expansion imply that it will only ever recede because distance is being "created" faster than light can traverse that distance?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>7812389
the answer is: dark matter.
>>
>>7812389

The photon cannot travel faster than the spacetime expansion, this is the postulated fate of the future universe where the sky beyond locality is completely dark.

Every time it was brought up I'm told it's suddenly useless and unemployable.

Let's see if you anons are smart. It is actually a nice puzzle:

A flight is taking off soon, and there are 100 assigned seats, and the passengers enter in order of their seat #.

Passenger X loses their ticket and sits in a random seat.

What's the probability that the 100th person will be seated at their assigned seat?

Note: a passenger will always sit in their assigned seat unless it is taken. If their seat is taken, they will sit in a random seat.

>>7813745
100% if there is only 100 seats in the plane. The last guy will only have one seat left to sit in.
>>
>>7813752
Passenger X sits in a random seat. There's a chance that the 100th person won't have their seat.

Another issue is passenger X takes passenger's 60th seat, and passenger 60 sits on the 100th spot.

Listen you brainlet, if you travel upward at a speed of 1mph for a billion years you're going to escape earth's gravity. Now extend that analogy to spacecraft, and think about what escape velocity actually means versus what happens with spacecraft.

So......why exactly are we still using chemical rockets to go to space despite the fact the military has already experimented and FLIGHT PROVEN with fucking ELECTROSTATIC ION ENGINES and HALL EFFECT THRUSTERS decades ago?

You would think SpaceX and Blue Origin would look into this but nooooope. They're still going with the chemical rocket meme.

Is it because AI make the problem of information asymmetry and individuality invalid because there is never a chance of misinformation among their kind, cause fat cats like Stephen Hawking to be so terrified of them?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>7814367
No, it is because there is yet no even a theoretical basis for 'general AI'.

And as we know is true for all things in math, between the theory and the actual application, there are 300 years inbetween.

You develop the theory for general and AI and I'll see you in 2316.

Will this course prepare me for an undergrad engineering degree?

http://www.open.ac.uk/courses/modules/mst124#details

It will cover the following in about 7 months. You'll have to click the link and look at the ''what will you study tab'' to see each in more detail.

Functions
Trigonometry
Vectors
Calculus
Matrices
Sequences
Complex

Is there anything else I'd have to learn?

T-t-thanks g-g-guys.

Just ask your university of choice if this will transfer for your basic math requirement. If not, but they'll let you test out, than it'll probably still work, if you learn the material
>>
>>7814336
You could just masturbate for 7 months and you would be reddit for undergrad engineering.

You could just finger your asshole for 7 months and you would be ready for undergrad in physics, pure math, biology, whatever.

This is fucking undergrad. Be worried about 'being prepared' when you are going for a job or to grad school. Undergrad is a daycare for adults.
