As an aircraft mechanic, I find it somewhat frustrating that Airbus insists on using both metric and imperial measurements on their aircraft.

But i absolutely hate the inperial units
I feel SI units are the real and only way to go

Of course. SI units were created to unify measurements on international projects. Imperial has no place outside very specific local projects (and even then it's not the ideal choice)

sci, how can I find x in this equation? e=x^(x) pic unrelated

>>
>you dont
>>
x^x = e^(log(x^x)) = e^(x·log(x))

=>

log(x) == 1/x

and now you gotta check the productlog
>>
why don't you just see where x^x=e in a graph?

How does one go about proving i - iii employing strictly the properties of the set of rational numbers listed above?

to do 1.(i):
ab+a(-b)
=a(b+(-b)) (by (v))
= a0 (by definition of additive inverses)
=a(0+0) (since 0 is additive inverse)
=a0+a0

in particular this implies a0=0 so a(-b)=-(ab)

Why do head hair grow without boundaries, and any other hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, pubic hair, hair on legs or arms only grew to a certain length and once you shave them they will grow back to their original length and not get any longer, unlike head hair which will grow and grow unbounded?
23 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>7806581
Because hair in certain areas are programmed to fall out at faster rates than the hair on your head or face
>>
>>7806589
So we just loose the hair before they can grow beyond certain length? It doesn't look as if it was the thing
>>
>>7806581

Have you read "The World is Flat"? According to the thesis there you could upload you r position (because GPS is cheap) and image of your position (because bandwidth is cheap) to the cloud (cheap, cheap cheap) and get two (two for the price of 1) Indians (cheap, did I mention cheap?) to review the imagery and then they upload walking instructions back to the cloud (cheap, cheap latency) where a server in the cloud validates the answers independently (because CaaS is cheaaaaaap) and then return to you with what to do next.

The book was very influential a few years back but with the financial collapse since Lehman Brothers the author has been less exuberant about it.

Through daily fapping. After a while you will not feel any pleasure anymore which will directly result in reduced sex drive.

Short answer that's only slightly correct, but correct enough for you:
lateral forces.

Why is it called a hamburger when theres no ham in it

same reason you can bend a clothes hanger by pressing it against a pillow.

The blade doesn't wear away, the edge just gets deformed and stops being as sharp.

Its kinda funny how every single week you hear the media hyping about "efficient and low cost solar cells" which will one day be available to everyone.

Unfortunately this hype is simply not justified with reality.

The materials I use to make my solar cells cost $2000 and efficiency barely ever reaches 10%. For higher efficiencies (>30%) it costs even more just to acquire the basic materials. Not to mention most of these solar cell materials are all patented, which is the very reason why they are so ridiculously expensive in the first place.

The reason why you see solar cells like pic related is because its more profitable to manufacture them in that way.

The very notion of "low cost energy generation" is completely laughable and fundamentally incompatible with conventional economics.

It's kinda funny how you're lying about working in the field.
>>
>>7804593
I'm guessing "working in the field" means that Anon is the grunt who reads the number off the scale when they test the integrity of the piles/footings that solar panels are mounted on.
>>
>>7804589
I have high hopes for solar energy, but a big issue is raw materials. We already use so much silicon for computers, and we would need so much more to provide solar power for the whole country. We need to figure out how to harness solar energy using a more abundant material.
