There is no minimum temperature. Look up negative temperature. It's just a defined thing--defined in terms of the entropy and energy of a system. What we use and think of as temperature is more operational (how much mercury rises in a tube when in contact with the thing we want to measure etc.).
Loosely, the more thermal energy a thing has, the higher the temperature. Is there a limit in the amount of thermal energy?
I don't get how irrational numbers exist.
for any two fractions m/n > p/q, there is some fraction (m+p)/(n+q) in between the two. thus there are an infinite amount of fractions of rational numbers between any two fractions.
then if we take 3/2 and 5/4, since there are an infinite of rational fractions between them, there must be some fraction which equates to sqrt(2). how am I wrong?

It's harder to explain the incredibly large and specific numerator and denominator of sqrt(2) and pi than to simply presume there is no exact decimal representation and therefore no exact fraction. Occam's razor. A mathematician might be able to give a more convincing argument, but do consider that a lot of truths in mathematics are really the simplest possible explanation -- something that at first seems simpler turns out to require many more assumptions and be harder to explain.

I'm doing some game design brainstorming and have a physics related question.
If a sorcerer shoots lightning at someone 10 or so meters away on a sunny day, they will get a large zap. However, if it is raining heavily, they will receive a smaller zap, since the rain will dissipate the charge/energy? Most games will enhance the power of electricity under rainy conditions. Water can only be used to hit someone by proxy assuming they are touching a small body of contiguous water, and it would not enhance the effects.

It is possible, but you are almost certainly collecting degrees at that point.
There is very little reason to have 2 PhDs. The whole point of a PhD is to show that you can do independent research. If you are capable of that, you should be able to pursue any type of research if you put your mind to it, even stuff not within your immediate field.
Of course, to get to the cutting edge of research often requires a great depth of knowledge that takes years to cultivate, so it can be difficult to jump fields...

OP. Listen. People 'feel' things for a reason. People 'suspect' they have something wrong with them and 5 times out of ten they are right. It is intuitive, but it saves lives.
