engineering is pleb tier, so you clearly didn't lurk enough
>>
>algebra is not real mathematics
Algebra is real mathematics.
>calculus is not real mathematics
Calculus isn't because Calculus is by definition Analysis without math.
>anything that isn't pure mathematics or chem/mech/elec engineering is pleb tier.
Every field can be pleb tier or god tier depending on what you do in it.

IQ is meaningless.

You forgot to differentiate "n terms" which is another n-dependency.

i like how from 2n=n you were able to conclude 2=1 rather than n=0

How do I produce NaCN with the reactants:
charcoal
cyanuric acid
sodium bicarbonate

all are in fine powder. And how many parts of each, and how hot?

OP here, I just made sodium carbonate by heating sodium bicarbonate. Now the reactants are

charcoal
cyanuric acid
sodium carbonate

How do I synthesize NaCN from these?
>>
>>7765499
Lol youre better off making HCN from Potassium Ferrocyanite and Phosphoric Acid. Then treat the HCN with NaOH and you get NaCN and H2O.

3K4[Fe(CN)6] + 6H3PO4 -> 18HCN + 4K3PO4 + Fe3(PO4)2
HCN + NaOH -> NaCN + H2O
>>
>>7765516
Will this be effective to get CN in powder form? You're suggesting:

-mix ferrocyanide and phosphoric acid, burn them (I assume at 300 Celsius for 20 minutes or so) to create HCN

-Then "treat" the HCN with NaOH and you get NaCN and H2O.

Is that correct? Your instructions are vague but I think It's simple and I appreciate it. I just don't know what "treat" means to you (burn them or just mix them?) since I'm not experienced in chemistry.

How long do I burn them for a chemical reaction?

And does it matter how exact the measurements are in milligrams?

Why don't we have Thorium reactors yet?

Can someone explain that pic to me like im a 3 year old ?
>>
>>7765480
>Why don't we have Thorium reactors yet?

No one wants to make the fuel infrastructure development effort without a full understanding of thorium's nuclear fuel cycle, and assurance that any reactor using it would actually be profitable through the end of its life cycle.
>>
>>7765480
Two reasons - thorium reactors are too clean, they don't produce weapons grade plutonium as a bye-product which is where the real profit is (iirc david susuki gave a lecture about the inefficiency of uranium reactors some years ago?) and (again, iirc) something about them requiring liquid sodium which is next to impossible to plumb, because that shit eats through everything (or maybe liquid floride? i dunno, I don't know shit about chemistry). Something about a thorium reactor built in Scotland in the 50's that had these problems.
Source: asked my dad about it a couple of years ago, he was involved in building nuclear reactors back in the 50's (PHd ChemEng). I didn't into academia so a lot of what he explained is over my head.
But also, hydrogen fuel cells; really bad idea again because plumbing - at some point you have to separate the hydrogen and some will escape the system and leave the planet and ultimately we'll have no hydrogen left and therefore no water and therefore no life. At least, that's what I understood from what he told me.

Why haven't you read the most important text in Nutritional Science yet?

Before any of you idiots try to argue against the book without reading it, you might as well stop now. The book has over 2,600 scientific articles referenced to prove its point. I doubt your clumsy arguments are worth even being considered.

The oxidation rate of Sulfur S4O6 2- right?

But what about Boron, those two are tricky. What's the differences?

Now if we solve it conventionally 4x - 12 = -2 so now you might wonder how we got a fractional oxidation state.

But the answer lies in the structure of the tetrathionate ion, right?

Why do only certain fishes posess electric organs?

Is it impossible for land-based lifeforms to have these too?

Would they even work on land?

How much do these fishes need to eat to make up for the energy loss?

Is it possible to breed humans with electric organs?

And with electric i mean strong enough to paralyze/kill foes

I never went to college but I always liked math, I even did a calculus book by myself over 10 years ago but now I want to learn more and also became interested in programming, is project Euler a good way to learn both of them a the same time?
TL;DR: Should I use project Euler to learn math and programming by myself?

Yeah why not? Combine it with other sources of learning, like khan academy and books.

The book will practically write itself. In fact you could probably write a bot that just scans the archives and dumps them into a text file. Then all you need to do is send it off to an editor and bada-bing bada-boom we're authors.

I have been tempted to try to write a book on GR that could be read by a high school student with no math experience higher than precalc. Start with the fundamentals of calc and try to develop everything from a highly geometric perspective that will make GR feel natural.

Unfortunately I am both busy and lazy.

How many animals do you kill a week

Last month, i was watching an anime series about time travel (Steins Gate), and then i learned the term 'Kerr black hole'. upon further research, i read that these are theoretical singularities without an event horizon. i don't matter if these are suitable for time travel, but this 'naked singularities' can be real? the relativitity allow these to exist? i want to hear your oppinions about this matter.
