We haven't we begun breeding animals to live without bones? We'd have boneless beef and chicken a plenty and we could just throw them whole into a grinder, after humanly killing them of course.
Just bypass the animal phase and make th meat in vitro
The famous €250,000 burger is €8 these days,
give it a decade or so and it will be economically competitive

Shit that's cool.
Too bad moralfags will moan about "muh natrual", as if any part in the process of raising livestock today is natura
>>7794784
wouldn't moralfags whine about non-invitro meat?
Foodie-fags will whine about non-invitro meat until it gets cheap, at which point they'll whine about it being not natural.
Does Time Exist?
>>7794234
No, but the concept of time does exist.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvpbW7JRu0Q
It is something that can be given measure, but it is arbitrarily defined and ubiquitous to conscious thought. It can not be certain that moments before us have a tangible, physical implication with existence.
Must there always be a reason to fall out of love? Or can it just happen? I find it more logical that if you truly are in love, not just infatuated, it has got to take something to fall out of love if you are drawn to a person. What do you think?
>>7793765
Love is a more /x/ related topic.
your posting on a chinese cocunut carving website for love advice, what makes you think logic is something you have or can percieve?
>>7793771
This. We have no anecdotal proof that love is real. It's probably a normie conspiracy.
It's puzzle time /sci/. I post a puzzle and you try to solve it. If you get it right, you get to pick the next puzzle (out of 3 listed). Let's start:
You walk one kilometer south, then one km east, then one km north. Now you are back where you started. Where are you? You are at the north pole. But are there other starting locations (on a spherical object like the Earth) where the same thing would happen?
Next puzzles:
1. Poker
2. Girlfriend dilemma
3. Ferryboats
No.
Girlfriend dilemma.
At the north pole, ezpz. I pick ferryboats.

Currently building Anki Flashcards and trying to train myself for pomodoro
Need to do about 6 hours work today and its a struggle to keep myself focused.
I also make a list before I begin studying of everything I need/want to get done and just tick them off as they are finished.
What more can I do to improve my concentration and productivity? (other than modafinnil because $110 for 60 tabs is just bananas)

MechE major here. I use this routine and it never fails me.
1) Pretend to teach after you've learned all the material. Go by each section and pretend to teach a student all of the material that you've just learned, explain it thoroughly and make sure that you cover key points.
2) Pomodoro. Always take 5 minute breaks every 30 minutes.
3) Google everything you don't know, use the teacher's notes as a guideline. Google videos and notes online to help, while watching videos or looking at notes, take down important information. I've...

Does flux really remove all blue lights?Of course this is considering you use 1200k or darkroom mode because i doubt higher than that does anything.
>>7785331
The only true method for this is trial and error. :^)
Hell no.
Just turn around and look at the diffuse light cast by your screen on the wall behind you. It's blue as shit.
>>7785350
I cant see any blue light and it looks really relaxing when i turn off the lights but of course like i said already this is at the lowest 1200k.Also check this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xj7XDT6UNk

So I'll think meta, seeing as infinity isn't a number.

I'm having trouble finding the source used here:
https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/17182.htm
I know it says trusted information but I would like to see how they come up with these conclusions and charts. Google only gives me women's magazine articles. Is medline plus a good source of medical/sports information? Would you recommend me another website?
Pubmed gives me nothing too and it's smelling like broscience.

Scholar.google.com
Hi guys. I am above average at maths. But not a whole lot more than that. I have an predicted A* in maths A-level, but could only get an A in Further Maths. hopefully that gives you some idea of my abilities.
Anyway, I am interested in further developing my maths skills, but I fear I have left Khan Academy's scope behind so I don't know where to go from here.
What are some good ways to get better at maths on my own and what areas should I explore? I can occasionally consult with a Maths PhD guy I am friends with, but I wouldnt want to rely on him overmuch.
An A* in single maths means nothing and neither does an A in further if you cant get an A*
read books
do questions
use google

Got any more specific recommendations?
>decide to enter British Maths Olympiad because I feel so smug about my maths skills
>go to website to scope it out
>find out one of my classmates is ON THE INTERNATIONAL TEAM REPRESENTING BRITAIN IN 2016 AND I NEVER EVEN KNEW IT
jesus christ i am out of my depth
God i feel so embarassed about my hubris now
and now i just googled him and he was featured in the Guardian as a "mathlete"
WTF? How did I never know this shit??
Is intelligence genetic? If so, what genes make someone mathematically inclined.
Also, is there a secret genetic eugenics program happening among the families of intellectuals where they try to accumulate genes that have an intellectual factor in them?
Intelligence is partially genetic, partially learned. A secret program would be that rich families send their kids to actually decent schools to learn subjects that cater to analytical thinking and logic and not bullshit like common core and social sciences.

Post of the century.
Everyone always says that the reason the 1918 influenza pandemic killed such a disproportionately high number of young, healthy adults is because the disease made their immune systems overreact by causing a surge of cytokines. This made the lungs fill with fluids, block the airways...your body basically drowns itself.
So I'm wondering, if a similar pandemic ever started, should I start drinking heavily, depriving myself of sleep, eating poorly and doing everything else I can think of to depress my immune system? Would this actually increase my odds of survival if I caught the flu?
Just take glucocorticoids you fucking retard.
Hey, /sci/. Need your help.
So I am going to take the AMS test inot the coming weeks, but I need to be prepared for it.
The thing is, my teacher said there is no actual way to study for it and it is all application, but there must be a way to get some sort of foot in the door.
The test is a sort of mathematics based exam that will give you very complex problens and have you solve as many as you can in 90 minutes.
The only reason I am taking this and and tally giving a shit about it is because it "would be an amazing feature on a college transcript"...

Always been my dream to go there since I was a kid.
If not MIT, where would you recommend I go for a CompSci degree that isn't shit and easy to get into. Thinking of Stanford or CalPoly.
>>7796072
I don't know about CS.
Just make sure you put your heart and mind into that essay and make it the saddest sob story in the history of tear jerkers.
A pro tip is to start with you being a black turned white trans-race. That way you can still be white, but say that you were opressed and get those sweet, sweet opression points.
Have any of you been on a stimulant? How did it affect your mathematical ability?
>>7796009
no pill will make you smarter. just kill yourself, maybe next time you'll be born with better genes.
>>7796012
You should do the same, maybe next time you will be a handsome man, instead of a virgin asocial faggot.
Hey /sci/
What music do you listen to?
Personally I'm all over the place as one genre never seems to fit in every situation, as in: self appreciating rap when exercising, 90s rock/alt when I'm having those feels, electronic when I want to relax, whatever Animals As Leaders falls into when the rest gets boring.
The leak dance song on infinite loop in my head when I need to stay focused.
