Canon is dead guys
>>2792970
Just saw the official announcement, it's a real feature, it's on the selection wheel, and they're milddly proud of it
What's wrong with it? Unless you're shooting sports, this is fine for most people who want better quality photos than from a smartphone can make.
>b-but the food mode
It's aimed at soccer moms as a cheap DSLR. You'll probably know better than to get this for work.
>>2792970
It was mainly developed for the US demographic I presume.

Um, what?
Has anyone been in an altercation while shooting street? I read in the 'Girls with Cameras' thread that having a woman with you when doing street photography eases the tension.
Why is this?
Should I enlist my girlfriend to accompany me when shooting street? Would it add credibility to give her a camera to shoot with as well?

Rodeo Drive is as bougie and safe as it gets, grow a pair. Just take the shot first, and deal with what happens (usually nothing or a smile) afterwards.

Do you shoot film professionally and actually need higher quality for your work? Because an X1 is extremely expensive if you're just a hobbyist and I imagine you'd have more fun spending that money elsewhere.
>>2791699
If you buy one I'll pay you to scan my negs
Im just looking through their website an i notice cameras with pricetags up close to 100k. If you had that kind of money, would you or would you not, and why?
>>2803010
95% of people that are buying REDs are either camera gear rental houses or video production companies.
The price for RED epic will cut down. You might want that.
>>2803025
What are the reasonably priced alternatives?
i Just watched black mass, wtf?.
what is the deal with this bokeh effect? is it a lens with just two aperture blades? which lens would that be?
Its nice sometimes in the film, when it works in unison with straight lines and patterns, but they've used it wayyyy too much in this film.
Also the spherical distortion is really bothering and distracting sometimes when shooting corridors and the lines are bending almost fisheye-like. and the anamorphic lens makes the cars look like 1 passenger cars several times. wtf did they think?
Like, the cinematography...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>Like, the cinematography is done really good sometimes in the film, but theres too much technical blunders and lots of mediocre shots with poor lightwork.
>sincerely, a non-cinematographer
Sounds like this year is going to be full of crappy films.
>Black mass - Cinematographer given too much freedom.
>High Rise - Visually and narratively confusing and nauseating.
>Batman vs Superman - Consistently weak reviews so far, boring, uninspired.
>>2802651
>Black mass
>this year
That shit went out of cinemas at the start of the year. Was released in November yo. I missed it because I was in hospital.
Is it just me or do these kinds of landscape photos look really 'weird'? They don't look anything like reality, they look like a computer render or something. Not saying this method is inherently bad it just gives me a sort of uncanny valley effect for landscapes I guess.
>>2802256
nah they look fucked up to me too with its no shadows and no depth
>>2802256
>uncanny valley effect for landscapes
yup thats the right expression. the worst part is that not even b&w film photo causes that, being all abstracted and all. even high contrast, even shots that have been stenciled the fuck out of them, you still see the subjects in the photo, not a "render".
OP image is HDR, plus it has dumb fake digital colors. its going to look crap. like 90% of flickr.
>>2802289
nah, looks like shitty stacked "long" exposure with adde satietam maximum and the clarity slider jacked up.
How on earth I can edit photos like him?
I have been trying to edit photos like this from last 6 months but this editing is impossible. Please tell me how to achieve this vintage film look.

Does it mean I have to look like that guy? Then no.
Is Leica M that good or its just nostalgia goggles? Shit is so expensive and I don't see why a faggot like that one couldn't spend like 2 seconds in lightroom with his b/w preset.

It's like you're not paying attention to what we're saying at all!
>>2797890
I sincerely hope you recorded onto a second car OP but chances are you're not getting any of it back.
There are drive recovery tools specifically for SD cards so try a few of those before you give up hope.
If you really, really need the footage and have no luck yourself the best option is to go to a data recovery specialist. I must warn you though, it will not be cheap and it very well may not work
>>2797902
We had 3 cameras recording the event. Sadly the one with the corrupted card just so happened to be the 'A' camera
How do you do this on object that's obviously not moving like pic related?
Is it just shoop?
but that's clearly moving
check out that blur
No it's a combination of slow shutter speed + zooming while the shutter is open
