I’m currently trying to do a series of photos using a nude model as a subject for the first time. The one major issue I have to work around is the available space to shoot in, which is more or less like an 8x10 room. This makes it a bit challenging to get shots in which the subject is entirely in frame, as well as severely limiting the possible arrangement of lights. This also makes it a bit harder to find poses that do not look totally out of place or just strange. I was sort of thinking of taking everything out of the room and seeing what sort of shots i could achieve with...

Yours is overdone and super gay, but I'm sure it'll get a lot of likes on facebook from normies.
Can anyone give me advice on focusing manually with this camera? It's a bit different than with a SLR especially since the AF-S 35/1.8 I use doesn't have a focusing ring.
Why bother? Sometimes AF is too slow, I'd like to just walk around at f11 and just know that everything in the shot is in focus.
Related, is it worth buying AF-D lenses? How about older ones that will fit the mount?

it's been more than a year since i felt like going out shooting. i used to be all about this hobby, bought my first real camera before a trip to Japan and ended up shooting weddings and events, which sucked the life out of me. also became obsessed with the technical aspects so now i have a great camera and lenses i don't use.

Decreasing contrast alone does not achieve this look. I know enough to know that and have tried.
Print the regular photograph, let it have a 2 hours ride on your washing machine, then scan it to retrieve the photograph on your computer.

Get an A6000.
Mirrorless is good for learning how to shoot in M mode because you're using an electronic view finder instead of an optical.
Optical w/ DSLR: You see through the lens. Even if the camera is OFF, you will see through the lens. You do NOT see what the photo is going to look like. If your ISO/shutter speed don't line up, you can end up with an all white or all black photo or anything in between.
Electronic View Finder: You see nothing unless the camera is on. You see what...
