Skill is one thing, intent is another. I liked the sign less bright.
It kinda takes away from the run down creepy Soviet vibe when the highlights are that blown in my opinion.
How can I darken the highlights here? I want to remove the section where sun hits and make it a shadow like the rest of the building? Thanks in advance!

some photos don't need color to convey their message, sometimes color even takes away from certain compositions. Its like cropping, if color isn't important (which it often is), remove it.

What is the best focal length and why is it 50mm?
It's very close to the "normal" focal length of 43mm. 35mm Is too wide imho, especially for fool framers like myself.
It's not.
50mm still distorts the image, and is therefore the wrong focal length.
85mm however is almost exactly like for like between what your eye sees and what the viewfinder and sensor actually processes.

Is this just a meme? Whenever I see photogs as well in the wild they usually fit the description above not to mention carrying enormous pro bodies and lens that makes them look like a total creep.
This is the reason I use OMD EM1 instead because chicks dig the retro looks and I look like a normal being using them. I lift weights 3 times a week and wear styliah clothes. Some models mistake me for being the model. But I say no I'm the photographer.
