Some days ago I went to a concert and there I tried to do some concert photography for the first time. I'll post some pictures in this thread, can you give me pointers on what's wrong with them and what I can do to improve?
Btw they're really noisy and not that sharp since I decided to go with one of my manual lense (I'm stupid, I know), which was a pretty slow one, so I had to shoot completely open and with crazy high ISO. Also, manual focus.

Any cinematography buffs out there?
I need an advise. I shoot films on my 600d and for christmas i wanna buy my self a present. And i m considering, geting ether proper lens for my 600d or canon 6d and leave my acctual lens (18-55 standard and 75-300). What should i chose? I know there is a quite big difference between 600d and 6d but maybe good lens would change a lot?
>>2697608
The 6D definitely. The 18-55 looks awesome on it.

How do you get colours into an image like this?
And before somebody just say curves i have tried everything i can think of with curves and it looks nothing like that.
If you think it can be done with curves, please show the curve.
Heres a ref image to try it on and what you normally get just messing around with curves.

>>I know probably there is no real subject
Then why?
The lines are clearly defined/very obvious but they don't lead me anywhere, they also intersect at uninteresting points that don't work together.
A nice composition more often than not isn't the determining factor if a photo is successful. This is obviously a close-up of an uninteresting concrete column. There is no mystery as to what I'm looking at. I know exactly what it is and I'm not interested in it because I would never be interested in it so long asni knoe what I'm looking at. Sure the comp is pleasing, but that isnt enough to make me want to look at the photo for longer than a few seconds
Might as well post the edited shots here as well.
Enjoy.

Shoot RAW.
Not sure where it's at on your model, but they'll be an area to set a custom white balance by taking a shot of a gray card and then selecting it as the basis for the white balance. Mines in the second list of camera setting after I hit menu, and then custom white balance and select the gray card photo. Then change the white balance to the custom setting, it looks like to triangles with a square in the middle. After that just shoot. Or you can shoot the gray card and then do the custom white balance in their, and then sync it to everything in that lighting.
>>2696207
This. The auto white balance on my camera is usually pretty blue but it's incredibly easy to fix in post when you shoot RAW
