First invert the image, then go to the curves (linear mode) and move the bottom left to the top left and the top right to the bottom left.

First of all this was taken with a filter. So mess around with black and white filters. Maybe red and orange. Search for "silver efx pro" which is a plugin suite from Nik.

This is a pic I took with my Canon Rebel T3i about 4 years ago. I no longer have that camera, unfortunately. I have a gofundme going to help me finally afford a camera after 3 years of trying, but idk how fruitful that will be.

Wow, you have amazing talent. Please tell us how to find your crowdfunding site, as I would definitely contribute. I'd feel honoured to be part of helping the early development of a true artist.

Thank you so much, you don't know how much that means to me! However, the system keeps thinking this is spam haha, I'm not sure how to get my link in here.

There we go, haha.

Hi, I currently have a Lumix but want to buy a good DSLR that:

– isn't too expensive (~$250)
– isn't too big/bulky
– takes sharp shots
– takes videos

I appreciate any good suggestions, will research on the best ones.

For those of us who don't have local printers, let's put together a list of printers who do good work.

Typical Canon and Epson printers are all you need if you only have some hundred rather than thousands of photo prints a week.

You still want to consider 3rd party ink or a 3rd party ink supply system.
>>
>>2682009
That gets stupidly expensive if you print larger than 8x10 (even expensive there) and precludes a large number of printing options as well.
>>
>>2682015
No, not with 3rd party inks (that you maybe reset and refill), not if you install a CISS and just feed the ink from tanks.

It's certainly not how Canon / Epson thought they'd make their monies, but it gives you a high quality printer on the cheap.

> and precludes a large number of printing options as well
Like what? They're inkjets, and you can get those Canon / Epson printers up to a pretty decent size.

I guess you won't conveniently print billboard-sized prints, but I see no large issue overall?

New /p/fag here

Last night I came here for the very first time. I've never been interested in photgraphy, mainly due to the fact that I cannot grasp the intrinsicies that make it a fine art.

Whole here, I looked into various threads, trying to understand, more or less, what makes a good photograph. Obviously this is a broad and general question, but I was hoping, at least, for a satisfactory answer.

All I could see was other anons destroying other people's work. Fair enough; this art is subjective.

Since nobody can agree to like pretty much anything an anon posts here, could somebody post pictures which are generally (kek) accepted to be 'good' pictures?

Pic related?

My best advice is to read books instead of asking this board for advice.
I'd post some widely liked pictures, but one doesn't have to be a genius to know that someone will disagree.
>>
>>2681516

Everything is going to be interpreted as subjective, either possitively or negatively.

Based on my experience with other boards, certain people, music, authors are generally, meses aside, considered as /an/ aproved; /pol/ aproved, etc.

I guess I should have formulated my question as such: what are some /p/ approved pics?

So got my first "good" camera outside of point and shoots. I'm trying to be a big boy and not shoot in auto mode. So the internet says to use Aperture mode for shooting. So on my first outing with the camera I put the camera in A mode and messed around. I do have some questions though, When you open up the aperture you getting a shallower DoF, I understand this, on my kinda crappy kit leans I shot some a F3.5 (the most open I can get with this lens) and do like the effect for some shots but a lot of the stuff i'm gonna want to take pics of is landscapes stuff like pic related. At what point does the DoF open up so you get "everything in focus"? I used F5 a lot since it looked good on the camera screen.

I also have some shutter speed questions, I saw some humming birds and wanted to "freeze them" in time so to speak, what kind of shutter speed am I gonna need to do that? In general what speed of shutter should I be using for hand held shots? How slow can it get before it gets blurry?

Basically, focus to the infinite and go for an aperture of Æ’9 ~Æ’11, even if you have to bump the ISO.

Hey /p/ I know you probably get this question a lot and are sick as hell of it but I'm coming here because I trust you guys know what you're doing, so please ignore me if I'm annoying.

I've got a DSLR camera (Rebel T3) that I got on a whim with my tax return money because it was dirt cheap and I've only really been taking random shots of nature around the house, never really exerted any effort, and I've not had it long enough to know all the settings and tricks.

But now my cousin is getting married and he's adamant about me taking photos at his wedding, I already explained to him I'm not good, and that for every good photo I have I deleted like 200+ blurry/out of focus photos, but he's still insisting.

tl;dr Could you please spare any tips on how not to fuck up these photos entirely? I am googling as well, but I figured I might as well ask people that have been doing this for a while.

Taking photos as in for fun or taking photos as in doing the job of an actual wedding photographer? Because if it's the latter there's no way you won't fuck it up.

Is it at all possible to get into photography with just a phone camera? I know I won't be able to adjust settings, but I can work on things like angle and getting the shot in the correct frame. I like photography, but not enough to spend the money on a decent camera.

Things you might be able to learn

>composition from only one focal length
>

I cant think of anything else. I do see some great iphone only instagram accounts now and then but consider those the extreme minority.

Buy a fucking camera when you get your first highschool job. Ask the gear thread.

Things you wont learn with a smart phone:

>what good dynamic range should look like
>focusing
>use of bokeh
>what focal length to use for different shots
>what is "good lighting" for a photo
>pan photography
>how aperature effects sharpness, DOF, Bokeh, ect
>what a "stop" is
>how to select a good shutter speed

Thats just the beginning

>the subject is grass

Please

Check the rules, resize your images to 1000 max on one side. No one wants to see snapshits at 3000x2500 especially iphone snapshits
