Hey guys,
Looking at upgrading to full frame.
Anyone have opinions on these two cameras?
I don't know which to go for...
Leaning towards the D750 but I'm wondering is the extra €500 worth it

>That instantaneous start-up time
Are there 21st century SLRs that don't have instantaneous start-up time?
>That no button lag at all
likewise. Right now I could get the D810 for the same price as the Df, and I'm not certain the Df does anything better.
The interface is a clusterfuck and it feels terrible in the hand, though, plus it's overpriced. A small body with the D4 sensor would be the ideal camera for me, but the Df doesn't cut it.
I'm sick of all the following:
> macro
> hdr
> landscape
> bokeh
> portraits
> candid pictures of assholes at parties
> pictures of old or homeless people
> poverty tourism
> posed pictures of people being cute
> group pictures

So you just want good photojournalistic shots? Because that's what I got from your post here.
>using the term redpill
lol someone didnt get any in high school
>>2836966
Yeah, it's hard to see much else once landscape and portraits are eliminated. That's literally "I don't like pretty settings or pretty people" so it can't just be an appealing picture, and no "my own photographic voice" so it can't be artsy, you're really just left with "so you want the news?"

All the Sony shills on this board love calling Fuji cameras the 'poor man's Leica', but I am really failing to see how such a comparison is remotely analogous. Anyone who knows anything about cameras will agree that the X-Pro series is the spiritual successor to the Contax G system.
>Rangefinder 'style' body with offset viewfinder, featuring superb build quality, aesthetics and ergonomics.
> OVF that isn't a true rangefinder, and relies on autofocus instead, showing parallax compensation....

I'll start with my own.
If I'm shooting with single point focus and I want everything in the frame to be in focus, use a smaller aperture, is that correct?
Open wide your F
>>2825491
Won't that create bokeh?
>>2825497
Oh, sorry. What i meant is that you should use a bigger F so you can have all in focus.
You can change the background photo
You can run up a hill
You can shoot for the stars
You can order some crab legs
Just casually been reading about street photography and Bruce Davidson.
1.) Do I need a certain camera for this style? e.g. small?
2.) Is it hard to get photographs published in a book?
I've moved to a new area and I'm seeing it with inquisitive eyes. I'd like to photograph the essence of the area and try and get the pics published.
1. Literally anyone can publish a book in CURRENT_YEAR.
2. You can use literally any camera for street photography. You typically wanna use something smaller as to not draw attention to yourself, though.
3. Learn how to use Google. sage.
1. If you look beyond Bruce Davidson, you'll see that there are a variety of types of "street photography", with different gear involved. It all depends on what you want, how you view photography itself, and especially how you view what it is you're photographing. Some people think large format cameras do the best at capturing "essences". Some think otherwise. What is an essence anyway?
2. If by published you also mean famous, yes. It takes work.
There's no guarantee you'll get published by doing passionate work. Just do...

Ken rockwell literally uses a 5Dsr and shoots jpg set to Small
Why the hell isn't he just using an old rebel XSi then?
I shoot jpg. I really have no desire to do any post work beyond cropping and resizing so I think it would be a waste for me to shoot raw and then process them especially when 99.9% of my shots are pure garbage anyway
I just wish I had a camera with a sensor that took amazing jpegs. but alas..

Light levels don't match, and the camera-right edge of the head is too clean. Background blur level looks fake as well.

need advice on a new camera... I've had a Canon 40D, Nikon D7000, currently have Olympus Em5. I love the m43 system, but I'm ready to move along to try something new. I've been looking at the Sony a7s (original) or the a6300 because they are similar in price on ebay. I shoot only Primes in the 35mm, 50mm and 90mm equivalent territory + or - a few mm. help me decide
>>2836348
For what, retard.
>>2836355
Just want something new, but would like input from the community.
>>2836348
Between the a7s or the a6300, I'd say go for the a6300 for sure. More features, better resolution, and can do 4k video without an external recorder. If you can, I'd highly recommend getting a native sony lens to be able to take advantage of the great focus features of the a6300. Unless you need fullframe, which doesn't seem to be the case, based on your past cameras. a6300 is the way to go. The only downfall of the a6300 vs the a7s is the smaller sensor, but that's not really a big deal.
