What do you think about the a6000?
The a6000 is okay for sissies but it's not a serious camera
good value/price
>>2878370
I got it used for 365 usd body only
It's a fine camera, i prefer apsc
After testing out an a6300 in store it made me regret getting the a6000 and i'll likely move up to a63000 by the end of the year
Thats not to say the a6000 is bad, it's just that the a6300 is such a notably better camera.
I use mine for commercial photo work, it's great as long as you're not some sport photographer or something
Let me know what lacks, what's wrong and what's not that bad.
Seriously guys?

This sort of thing would probably be more suited to /o/. This board is for all types of photography, but it's about being creative/artistic in your approach, as well as technically pro-efficient, as opposed to just getting something interesting on camera.
Unless you actually posted for critique - in which case forget everything I just said.

If you're looking for cc then the motor madness thread will probably give you some if you ask nicely.
In terms of "liking" it, as with everything it's personal choice.
IMO, the few car spotter photographers on instagram I follow generally are pretty boring. When I'm at a circuit if I can see the wheels of a car at all I absolutely cannot freeze the wheels, or it'll look like the car is static. All the car spotter guys seem to have their cameras on modes that are fine for...

Soooo /p/ i'm going to buy my first DSLR, but i just don't know which one i should get. Don't want to make a mistake, since i don't want to spend my money on some Meme-Cameras.
Took all my pics with my smartphone and now i want to improve my photography. Heard the Canon d5500 is good for beginner, or the canon 5d mark I. The Nikon d3100 could be also a good beginner camera.
I just don't wan't to buy a shit tier camera, even i i could get a better one for the same money.

You could have prevented this, /p/.
Hopes and dreams, all lost. Maybe we memed on him so hard some weird meme magic voodoo was activated on this poor sap.
Sugar-a-thon anyone?
Someone give the guy a camera, a film p&s will be enough i think. Remember to include a roll. I would give him one of mine, but he is too fucking far away.
And nothing of value was lost
Sugar, my offer stands. >>2872122
You want a camera? Just say so. I'll send you one.
Sugar has rage quit before. Nothing new.
Hey /p/, which camera should I buy? I'm looking at either a Pentax 67 or a Hasselblad 500cm. I mainly do a mix of landscape and portrait photography.

learn to resize dumbass
Actually I can see the whole car and a good chunk of the surrounding area fine. But I guess I'm a dumbass for having a better monitor than you...
I have just acquired two SLR cameras.
Both are ZENIT, the black one is model 11 and the one on the right is an ET model. Both seem to work fine. The ET has a loose lightmeter, but I bet i can fix that.
11 is made by KMZ and ET is made by Belomo. Which one would you pick? Is there any significant difference in build quality?
I have three lanses. Two 2/58, one automatic made by KMZ, second manual by MMZ. The 4/200 lens is an aftermarket german-made lens.
they are identical mechanically. whichever has a fully functional shutter and optionally lightemeter and is cleaner/in better shape. Aside from manufacturing quality variations they're made from the same moulds with the same mechanisms. Pick the cleaner Helios and enjoy your entry level slr. remember the viewfinder only shows the middle 66% of the screen. when you frame your shots you'll have some free space around, account for that.
>>2877608
Thank you, I had no idea the viewfinder works that way. You have saved me a film of badly framed pictures.
I also have these, which I want to eventually test out as well. I do have some experience with the Flexaret VI already, otherwise I am just starting with film photography in general.

Hey /p/,
I was just wondering how many of you abide by the demands of the event coordinator in these type of situations.
Last night I went to the fair with an xa, trying to be stealth, and I saw at least 8 hobbyists toting around L glass.
I guess my real question is can they really regulate "professional" camera equipment coming into a publicly accessible event?
In the US, any event can decide what they want to allow on their "rented / owned" space (this includes inside public parks and other government owned facilities - but this does NOT include a protest event unless they have rented space). If they decide you must wear a red shirt to be admitted and you walk up in a green shirt....they don't have to let you in. They can also tell you what you can say and do inside the event space and you are free to leave the event space to do as you please outside of it. The rub is, how well do the people at the entrances enforce...
