67 KB,
So /p/, I just got my first job as a photographer for an organization in my uni. They want me to go everyday and take pics of daily stuff, thing is I don't really know what to do as they do the same things everyday. So I was wondering if you could help me with tips and maybe ideas for documentary photography. Also, they pay for hours so the most hours I am there taking pictures the more I will get paid.

Use cheesy landscapes and portraits or staff/students as filler between actual events being organised by different societies and groups in the university. Liaise with said societies and groups and let them know you're willing to turn up and shoot their shit whenever

Short answer - no. The DP1(s/x) is a fuckslow camera. Had one myself until the sensor died.
>>
Already a sigma thread lad. Dp1 may be too wide, depending on your preferred focal length. Merrill is much better than standard/s/x dps. Autofocus is slow, image writing and review is slow. You could always stop down a bit and have it MF at hyperfocal I suppose.

1 MB,
Holy cow.

I thought the people complaining about bad demosaicing on Fuji RAW files were just being pixelprudes, but this is ridiculous.

This picture shows darktable failing miserably at proper rendering of a basic Fujifilm RAF. Even this basic, flat gray wall now looks like glittery rainbow clown snot.

How is this the meme camera system that everyone talks about if all you can do with it is shoot JPEG?

How do you properly post-process RAFs?

please someone tell me that this isn't the nasty punchline to some sick joke

Those towers would have been great for some abstract shit. Too bad hipsters would have thought of it long before I did.

Not really. I've taken some good and bad images throughout the years and there really isn't one singular photo that stands out among the rest of them in my mind. Maybe within a whole set there is one that is considered to be composed well and appeals to a majority of people looking at it but looking at them with the "eye of a photographer" you'll never have one that...

how is this Bryant eslava fellow so famous? I checked on snapchat and he's following a crew of some internet celebrity white boys around in Barcelona as a horde of screaming girls fans are around. He's jumping from Paris, ny, la back to Europe every week. Who's paying him for this and how is he making money exactly???

If anyone is a fan or follows him on snapchat pls explain. I don't even know who these white boy YouTube celebrities are. Apparently this douch is a vine guy.

Please explain how a photographer can get into this sorta field and who is paying him for this

Through some sluething I found out he does fashion photography/ad campaigns for various clothing lines (Tommy etc)

He's also the photographer for some faggy ass thing called mag con where vine celebrities meet crazy ass mental fan girls

How the fuck does a photographer get to this point? I take so many pictures and I feel like no one notices them. None of his pictures are particularly special l.

I currently have a Sony a6000 with just the kit lens. I have the option of either getting some more lens for that current camera or to get a Canon 7D Mark ii with one lens. What do you guys think? I've been lusting over the 7D for quite a while now. I think I'm regretting going Pentax but it's too early to say.

Enjoy the stellar stellar AF, excellent, very realistic colors, good video and good ISO performance. You will also be investing in a non-meme tier ecosystem (extremely important for anyone besides a bloody amateur).

You will lose the extreme depth the Sony sensors had for pulling up shadows (NOTHING will compensate for not...

For landscapes and travel? Stick with the a6000 and invest in better glass. It's smaller, lighter, and has better high ISO performance and dynamic range. Although I really don't like the EVF, cheap feel and clunky menus of the a6000, though. There's always trade-offs...
