>Really good footage, quite happy
>The next day try to ingest footage
>'Error, format drive'

>Nothing but error messages asking me to format the card

I need this footage. Does anyone have experience with this sort of memory card problem and how I can recover the footage?

It's like you're not paying attention to what we're saying at all!

I sincerely hope you recorded onto a second car OP but chances are you're not getting any of it back.

There are drive recovery tools specifically for SD cards so try a few of those before you give up hope.

If you really, really need the footage and have no luck yourself the best option is to go to a data recovery specialist. I must warn you though, it will not be cheap and it very well may not work

We had 3 cameras recording the event. Sadly the one with the corrupted card just so happened to be the 'A' camera

What camera were you shooting?

i use loads of programs to retrieve data, but when i get really stuck i use testdisk, its free, a little hard to use but great at retrieving data off corrupt drives

Ok cool, I've found a few programs online but I'll look into that one, thanks.

this is why I use a wifi card which connects to my phone which uploads everything I shoot onto my ADOBE CREATIVE cloud which backs up to my DROPBOX which backs up to my Home Cloud powered by WD RED(R)

If you're using an onboard SD card reader, try using a USB reader before pulling out the recovery tools. Especially if it's a large size card and you're using old hardware.

Computer science fag here
I approve of photorec
If you have a friend who knows something about computers and uses Linux then get them to image the SD card using dd
But if they don't know how then don't do that because if it fucks up then you're up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
>>
>>2801477
if u fuck the DD part then yea, but photorec straight on the SD card *should* be fine.
>>
Is there any functional way around single slot recording problems like this? My primary camera is a 6D and the single SD card slot always worried me
>>
Sometimes my computer gimps out and rebooting it will make a previously "unformated" sd card go back to normal
