264 KB,
Hi /p/ I was wondering if you guys could give me some hints and help guide to me what I should buy to suit my purposes.

I am looking for a a way to film videos in clubs and other low light environments.

I am wondering about the type of camera I should buy and what lenses would be good.

My budget is around 1000-1500.

If possible I would like to fulfill the role of being able to film lectures. Meaning that it would have a good battery life and some means of storing a lot.

Any advice would be welcome.

Or would there be a camcorder that would be better for the job?
>>
Get whichever body does the minimum frame and bit rates you need and spend the rest on fast primes. A 35mm preferably and something longer and hella cheap for your lecture shit
>>
>>2735800

What would you recommend for filming say two people talking in a bar? In terms of frame and bit rate?

Not enough fill. Your dark shadows are adding a tone to the image that doesn't match what it seems like you're going for.

Also, ugly face lighting.
>>
>>2736091
Background seems a little weird to me. It's all pink and red hues on the left but then transitions to a faded khaki on the right, with this big old patch of dark on the bottom right. I think if it was uniformly either red/pink it'd work better and be a decent backdrop.
>>
>>2736094
Seeing the image in a smaller size really has highlighted to me how bad the face lighting is, thanks for the direction.

The good times have been incredible and the bad times only a bit frustrating.

Best of the good times have probably been getting on stage with some incredible musicians, hanging out back stage with them. Getting into a national broadcasters studios to film musicians perform live, I was shown around Israel by a former paratrooper, he brought me up to the Golan heights and to the border with Lebanon which was all amazing.

The bad stuff? Just getting bitched at really, people at protests venting on me for

123 KB,
Alrighty, so I'm looking for some cheap ways to get a nice lofi/vhs/whatever the fuck look. I'm looking at some cameras like the Digital Harinezumi for film stuff but want to know what some other alternatives for that kinda look would be. Also, I have a Nikon TeleTouch 300AF that needs a new battery and a Canon A-1 that is damaged in someway that I don't know, so I was wondering if I were to get them operating would they give me the kind of look im going for?

Keep in mind I'm completely new to photography but I've got these cameras and I'm pretty fucking interested in the filming shit so I could really use some help with finding some cheap stuff
>pic related, it's pretty much what I'm going for I guess

You're probably better keeping your money, filming on your phone, then using filters. Eg;

f5 (2).jpg
3 MB,
I took two pictures of mountains.

One at f/5, one at f/22.

I thought a smaller aperture was better for landscapes. However, I think the f/5 looks better than the f/22.

Both images:
* ISO-200
* 55mm Focal Length
* 0 exposure bias
* Canon Rebel T5
* EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens

f/5: http://i.imgur.com/gUc14my.jpg
* 1/2000 sec exposure
* tripod, pic taken with timer

f/22: http://i.imgur.com/Pnslfke.jpg
* 1/100 sec exposure
* tripod, pic taken with timer.

I read up on depth of field, and it seems like at this distance it doesn't matter, everything will be "focused" as long as I don't have a foreground subject.

However, I think the f/5 looks better than the f/22 (although I'm not super happy with either picture). The mountains are a bit sharper in the f/5 for example.

Why is this? Is it better to shoot at higher apertures for landscapes if I'm just taking pictures of mountains?

Any other advice/recommendations to make my pictures look better?

I'm a complete beginner, so any advice is appreciated

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffraction
>>
When any wave passes through a small hole it gets slightly disorganised on the other side, more so the smaller the hole. This is called diffraction. When you shoot at f/22 your aperture is absolutely tiny and thus diffraction decreases the sharpness of your image by interfering with the light waves.

Most lenses tend to be sharpest around f/8 to f/11. f/22 shouldn't be used unless you really really want a long exposure for some reason and there's too much light around. Also if you shoot at f/22 dust spots on your sensor appear because the depth of field is so...
