I'm interested in getting a large species of centipede, obviously they're not for holding or anything but I was wondering what would be the easiest species to care for
the easiest to get seem to be the viet and haitian varieties, but nobody seems to have the amazonian one in stock, what one would you get/recommend?
also bug general, post your spiders and scorps and roaches and what not
Why do I feel like that centipede is still less spooky than this centipede.
It's gotta be the leg length. That's more like a serpent with a lot of legs. Pic related is more like a spider that's really long.

I think it's the legs, they look weird and creepy but we're all pretty familiar with the "stumpy leg" centipedes while people hardly talk about house centipedes. I had no clue what they were or that they existed until about 6 years ago even though they live everywhere
Are there any stereotypes about single women with dogs, like there are about single women with cats?
>>2123767
Single women with dogs usually means they let their dogs fuck them.
Nah having a dog is normal and socially acceptable unless you're sub human.
there's a stereotype for literally everything single women do so
Got him yesterday any name suggestions?

Trying to teach my border collie to fetch but she keeps dropping the ball. I can't get her to keep it in her mouth, she just picks it up and drops it. What do?
did you try kicking her in the mouth everytime she drops it?
try cutting her toes one by one every time she drops it, she might end up pawless but atleast she knows what happens when little pups like her screw up trying to pick up the ball, am I right?
Some dogs are just born to be fetchers and some really don't give a shit. I had to teach my Aussie how to fetch. I started by crouching and having him directly in front of me, then rewarding him everytime he picked up the ball and dropped it in my hand. Once he got the hang of it, we increased the distance gradually over time. Now that he's actually pretty good fetcher, I don't use the food reward anymore cos the reward is throwing and chasing a ball.
My 5 month old rotty pup has recently started eating dirt, after doing some research I found that the main cause for this is a bad diet.
I feed her Purina Puppy Pro Plan Large which my vet has recommended however I do not know much about food and blindly trusted her. Other than the fact that my pup eats dirt she looks really healthy - almost no fat, shiny fur, white teeth and energetic but she still eats dirt.
Any thoughts?
Acana, split feedings over morning and evening and read the packaging after weighing your dog or there will be runny poops.
/thread.

I feed her the right amount of Purina according to her weight - split into 3 portions throughout the day.
I might switch to acana if i find out purina is the issue but I hear its a good brand and many show dogs are on it?

Pro Plan is an excellent food. You could try adding green tripe or probiotics.

cool video, OP.
but the cat's intention isn't to annoy the dog, it just can't stop marking it as its property.
cats want to fucking own everything around them and mark it with their smell.

>When the pussy so good you put up with that clingy shit
>>2123522
>oh so your touching my dog now?
Ultrasonic bark stoppers, whats good about them? Whats bad about them?
>>2123366
With any sort of bark collar, you run the risk of teaching your dog to make noise in a fashion that the bark collar does not detect. usually extremely high pitched. So keep that in mind.
I know right now you think you can handle it, but think of how much your dog barks now, and change his voice to something so high and shrill that it stings your ears each time.

My dog gets zapped to shit even if she squeals
you're teaching your dog that one of their vital ways of communicating is bad and punishable, that's not good. spend the money on a trainer instead
>>2123408
>I want a pet, but not for that pet to act like an animal at all
and shock collars =/= ultrasonic collars
What breed is this dog??
It's a mix between two, but i don't know which ones.. can somebody help me out??
Half pupper, half doggo.
I don't know much about dogs but it looks like maybe a Dachshund, Basset hound mix?
I'm getting ready to move with my dog to another apartment in another state. He's a rescue and has been with several foster families, so I'm guessing he's accustomed to change to some extent, but what's the best way to get him adjusted to the new place?
I have his favorite blanket at the ready, plus a chair that he likes to nap in while I'm away. He likes long car rides, but is there anything else I should do when I get to the new place?
>>2123174
Just chill. He'll probably be nervous for a few days and pace and whine a bit, but he'll get over it.
Take him out on walks and let him get used to the area, play with him a bit more.
>>2123178
Thanks. If it ever got to the point where he starts having accidents, I was wondering if I just put him in the crate while I'm away. I only really crate him when I'm asleep at night, and I let him roam around during the day, so I'm hoping this doesn't mess with his routine.
>>2123189
It's good for a dog to learn crate training, but after that you shouldn't be using it regularly unless it's the dogs then, in which case it should be open.
If he's not completely potty trained yet, however, definitely crate a bit when you first move until her learns that the house is his new area and outside is where he should go potty.
for the fucking life of me i cannot decide, but my chips are on crow
crow
it's just a fat crow.
>>2123053
what gave it away, the size?
His eyes are all clouded over
He doesnt seem to respond well to motion either
It's in shed so it can't see very well.
It's perfectly fine.
>>2123051
should i just put him in the woods then
Had to move him since he was under the mower
Not sure what to do with him now
>>2123055
Just put it in a similar spot to where you found it. The cloudiness in it's eyes will be gone tomorrow and it'll be looking to shed. All it wants right now is to be safe from predators while it's vulnerable.
What do, he fell from a nest in my roof. He's still moving and attempts to get up. No blood seen but he's gotta be injured in some way. His mother is making a racket and has shit in her mouth so I left him for the time being so she can feed him or some shit.
Here's where he fell from.
>>2123037
Leave him. The fact that the mother is around is good. It'll work itself out. It's nature and shit.
>>2123038
Damn that's a steep fall.
But odds are he has minor damage, maybe a broken bone somewhere.
Which, in retrospect, would be the end of the little guy so.
Yeah, let nature do its thing man.if you touch it she might ignore him.
My cat keeps sneaking out the windows and getting into my backyard. There's this one spot in the bushes he really likes, he usually runs right there and doesn't go very far from it. I don't really like the idea of him going outside, I think he might get spooked and run off, or get hit by a car or something, but that's not what this is about. The thing is, once he gets out, it's nearly impossible to get him to come back inside. He won't come to me at all, even if I have a treat or a toy. The only way I can get him back in is if I somehow trick him...

Shut you window, or get some kind of net to put in front so he cannot escape
Stop being a pussy. He'll be fine as long as he's not a total retard like this guy.
Found this on a beach in Texas a couple years back and have been wondering what it is.
Can anyone help identify?
I would say drum fish but they are freshwater fish. They do have teeth like that and that is def teeth and part of a jaw.
I am afraid that this cat is not alive anymore. It died from a tumour. :(
RIP big face
piece in rest.
>>2122839
Are you sure it was a tumour?
