So everyone says cats need wet food. Can I just mix their kibble with water or unsalted chicken broth?
I've tried weaning them onto canned food and it makes their shit stink. I've tried Weruva, Tiki Cat, and some others. I'm weaning them like I'm supposed to.
I've been feeding acana dry and they've always had rabbit-soft fur, zero dandruff, no health issues. But everyone seems really serious about feeding canned food instead.
Raw is also not doable for reasons.
Honestly, a good quality dry food definitely will give them the nutrients they need. The major fear with not feeding wet is the moisture content because cats are at risk for UTIs and other organ problems from being dehydrated. They didn't evolve with a normal thirst drive like some animals, so making sure they get enough moisture is a MUST.
My suggestion is that you keep the water fresh and clean to encourage drinking, and maybe get one of the fountain water type things.
You can also buy bulk meat and just freeze it and on occasion cook her a little handful...

As far as I'm aware, that would be fine, but other people may know better. There's no reason your cats are special snowflakes though, and you should be able to wean them onto the wet food.

Has anybody here adopted from a shelter that makes you fill out a questionnare or anal-rapingly nosy application form? Particularly a cat? I would like to adopt a fluffy baby but some of these forms I've seen online are just downright ridiculous and a few minutes of internet research tells me that shelters don't give out their animals nearly as generously as they used to.
How do I avoid having my application go intothetrash.jpg?

I'd like to get some advice for taking care of my African violet again last time you guys helped I really appreciated it and my plant is looking a somewhat more healthy then before but I'm still unsure on its health.
I got a vase and I fill 1/4th of it with water and place a pot with a hole inside of it for about a day to drink the water and leave it like it is in the picture. This has made the leaves look much greener but also killed a couple too... Does this look healthy? I give it plenty of light and my room is pretty warm..
I've never managed to stay invested enough in Saintpaulias to not neglect them to death so ideally I shouldn't try to hand out advice, but ... The container you have yours in looks too large for it. It would probably do better still if you downgraded. Otherwise, I guess it looks alright enough but again, I'm no judge.

It's not impossible, but the likelihood of a possum having rabies is extremely low due to their low body temperature. Domestic dogs are much more of rabies risk than possums.
Why do some people argue that animals aren't conscious? It's obvious their minds don't work the same way ours do in many ways, but how is that evidence they aren't conscious? It's almost like people want an excuse to treat animals like shit, because if they aren't living beings with thoughts and emotions, that makes them expendable.
