I had to put my poor poor poor dog to sleep about a month ago. I still feel like fucking shit. I'll never see him or hug him again. I didn't even mind cleaning and carrying him down the stairs, I really enjoyed helping him...

Cherish your dogs... I'd do anything to have him back. He was such a wonderful guy.

Is it actually conceivable that a breed of dog, over enough generations, could be bred to even come close to his size?
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
No. Too much strain on the heart.
>>
>>2085457
I'm not sure.
>>
The real world isn't a cartoon. The bigger a dog breed, the shorter it lives anyway. The biggest dog breed only lives about 6~8 years tops, compared to 15~20 for small dogs.

So, How long until fish populations collapse and there are no more fish?

SOON.

>>2085332
1 that assumes it won't level off
2 it says "seafood" not "fish"
>>
>>2085379
To be fair, Sea food is pretty much anything that can be eaten or sold.

Found one of mine dead yesterday. Don't know what happened to her. Thursday night, fine. Full water bottle, full food bowl. Friday morning, dead and half her face eaten by her room mate.

Anyone know how this could have happened? It's especially weird considering that the one that was killed actually seemed the dominant one.

There's already a rat general. Post there, don't make excess threads.

it's definitely a vertebrae from a tiny shark. their fins actually have cartalidge structures inside them that quickly degrade when the animal dies. that's the small bone that anchors it to the sharks body

So, i am the anon who was gonna buy some AFT geckos, but i decided against because i think i'm too poorfag to sustain them. No need putting an animal through that, right? So i decided on getting a couple of Rainbow Land Crabs instead, one of them will still be called Gulliver as the anon who got dubs proclaimed, i was just wondering if any anons already had a couple? Do you like them? Can you handle yours? I already have a two foot wide aquarium, i'll buy some sand, a filter, probably an undertank heat mat and i'll make my own decor.

Take a look at Aqualands Pet Plus' website. They have a good amount of information and seem reputable.
>>
Wouldn't crabs be a lot more maintenance and money than geckos?
>>
You can send the crabs into the street to mug people to pay the bills.

Ain't nobody wanna get pinched.

Salton sea thread aka dead fish thread

I went to the Salton Sea as a kid. We were in the area on vacation and my parents wanted to see it. I never knew it used to be a big deal. For years I could never see why my parents wanted to see a big festering stink pit.

>hordes of flies

You're not kidding. We used a public washroom when we were there, the lights didn't work but they had running water and flushing toilets. It took a second for my eyes to adjust to the darkness when I noticed that the wall appeared to be moving, I leaned in closer and the wall was literally coated with a blanket of flies. On the upside, I can't bring myself to complain about most public washrooms any more, they just don't ever seem as bad.

ocean.jpg

I am trying to find a documentary that isn't about tsunamis or the life of certain animals. I'm trying to find a documentary, or personal videos for how the ocean actually is. I live in New Mexico, and only been in the shore of oceans on some vacations, and one fishing trip in Alasaka, but how is the actual ocean ecology? If someone where to drive by boat every mile, and scuba dive what would they see, what type of species would there be, how would it look like, how many times would u see big species, and how clustered would they be. The reason I'm interested in this is because New Mexico used to be underwater in prehistoric times, and a place like Albuquerque, the water would be higher than the Sandia Mountains. Now with me standing on an ancient sea floor I'm trying to picture how an ocean looks like and works. Seeing billions of small fish, and giant creatures like megalodon in the distance. So does anyone have any stories or stories of random diving and shit?

I think Deep Ocean by BBC was the name.
It should be removed from youtube but might be on Dailymotion

Do you have access to Netflix? They have tons of open ocean docs.
>>

Look up The Blue Planet by BBC. The third episode is about life in the open ocean.

I have a dog and a cat. The dog I walk twice everyday and keep vaccinated. My cat is inside only and only ever interacts with the dog, usually from a distance. My question is, is there a need to keep my cat vaccinated since he never goes outside or interacts with other cats?

Yeah, kinda. You could accidentally transport a virus to your cat through another cat owner.

My dog has really bad breath, its really disgusting. What do I do to make it fresh and not smelling like poop?
9 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
brush your dog's teeth. you should be doing this anyway.

also, feed it a better diet.
>>
>>2083631
If it literally smells like poop, check it doesn't eat it.
If it just smells bad, check the gums for damage, if there's anything weird, >VET.
>>
>>2083657

Who the fuck brushes their dogs teeth?
